- This is a video I made following a Junkers Ju-52 pilot on their mission to drop a small group of German Paratroopers behind enemy lines. Their plane takes heavy fire during the mission on their way to the drop zone! This was made using the World War II Combat Flight Sim IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles series. (Stalingrad, Kuban, Moscow, Bodenplatte).

Ngl it's probably the ugliest operational aircraft I've ever seen in my life, it's just so big and unbelievably slow
@@chriskern998 but it will fly though hell and back with its 3 engines and it falls like a feather as long as your going at least 80kmp

Great video. Do you or anyone know if Il2 will have infantry like they have tank crew? The paratroopers looked nice and smooth animations.

God I wish Il-2 was on console...
Part of the fun of this game is building a computer to run it or spending a pretty penny on a built one then getting your peripherals and finally installing the game,a console would ruin that experience imho.
I was a console player for many years and used to ask myself, " how in the world do people play on a keyboard??" Now I couldnt play on a console if I wanted to,lol, last console I bought was PS2, that tells you how long I've been playing on a PC.
@@dntlss Haha, i never really played on a console (only a few times and it was Forza Horizon 1) and i ask myself how people play on a controller, like aiming accurately is an example

Totally unhistorical because the Ju-52s portrayed with the markings and camouflage flew in Unternehmen Merkur (operation Mercury) the German invasion of Crete. The video creator has used them out of their historical context in Russia flying against Yak-1s
OMG you all kill me lol. ITS A VIDEO GAME. He made a movie from it. The game has plane limits, designs etc. ITS FOR ENTERTAINMENT value. I wait for you all to make your historically correct version to for us all to watch,. We are still waiting.
