Loving my cub, just ordered skiffs for it...

I think if the size is right for you, then this will be a great knife! The AD20.5 is a great size for me. I do not care for the USA AD20’s. I find them too big. So I’m glad there are great options with different sizes in a great design.

I’ve had my Shark Cub for about two weeks. My finger has still not “toughened up.” The Shark lock is very sharp and requires a substantial amount of pressure to close the knife. This leads to…..pain!!! My finger has developed calluses, but it’s still painful to operate. It makes me not want to use the knife.

I hear you. I have big meaty fingers so the cub is a challenge for me. You can file the gimping a bit and you can get a replacement spring or use pliers to compress the spring after taking it apart. That might work and make it nicer to use.

@@Robs_Nerdy_Knives Thanks!! I cut a couple of coils off the spring. Reassembled and could feel a good difference in the pressure needed. I then "dulled" the shark with a small file. I believe, thanks to your advice, I may have solved the issue!

      @@Robs_Nerdy_Knives how’s the 20CV holding up?

@@MAGR1994 So I have the 20CV in the AD20.5 & AD20.5SC. I ended up sellingbthe shark cub because I have big meaty hands and I preferred the regular AD20.5. Both were/are amazing. Taiwan does a great job in heat treat hitting the mark. Toothy edge great. Strops up with a little work but not like Maxamet or S110V. Still good, though.

@@Robs_Nerdy_Knives from the specs in paper I shouldn’t have a problem with the SC size. I can carry a Ontario Rat 2, Pyrite, Sencut Tynan, etc without problems. And its very similar. I can also carry a Victorinox solo 1 as a primary as I work on an office 🤣

Hey Rob. Being that I don't have any of those knives, the review was great for me to learn about them. After watching, I'm leaning towards the 20.5 with after-market scales. I'll get one eventually 😊 Happy New Year, brother! Y'all be safe and be blessed!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I don't know why this is not a wide spread variant like the G10 and aluminium one are. I mean, I understand exclusivity deals, but usually those are for a specific ano job or scale insert, or steel flavour - not Plain Jane titanium. I just wish we could buy this version from anywhere

Agreed. I wish Flytanium or another maker would work on some aftermarket scales for this. I have a G10 version on the way because I couldn't find the titanium one anywhere, but I'd 100% swap scales if I had the option.

We Want the AD 20 NOT this one!! Y cant he produce more??? I saw kc has a pre~order at least for a few……🙄🤨🇺🇸🇨🇳✌️

Well the Shark Cub is not Chinese 🇨🇳 but made in Taiwan 🇹🇼. That is where a lot of great Spyderco’s, Quiet Carry’s, Striders, and more are made. Also, I find the AD20’s too big, so I’d only be interested if it was around the AD20.5 size. I’d be very interested in a knife around that size and being available.

Speak for yourself, haha! I like the idea of an overbuilt smallish knife for daily carry. The AD20 and 20.5 are great knives in their own right, but they're also very large, heavy, and chunky and don't work well for daily carry for everyone. Definitely room in the collection for both, but I'd argue that Demko pursuing these smaller, lighter, more budget-conscious knives is a testament to what they're seeing on the sales side of things.
