One of my patrons pointed out that on 3.4 version the OCD lite addon does not create a 2nd material for damaged edges. The workaround is - once you apply the damage, go to Edit mode and press ctrl + I (to invert selection). Once the edges are selected, go to materials tab and assign the selection to a new material.
