I have bought a number of these and they are mostly ok. The connectors are fine if you use the right sized wire with them. You screw down the clamp screw on the connector to lock it in place...
These kind of boards depend heavily on power supply and only do proper power when you supply the maximum allowed voltage.
so true, was about to comment that
well, if it's rated for 100Wrms per channel, you need at least 10A on 24V. Anything below that and you'll be clipping before the bass drops.
why 10a at 24v? surely around 5a would do the job?
1W = 1VA
200W = 200VA
200VA = 24V x 8.3A
Sure you can use 5A. It'll clip when you turn the gain up though
Efficiency of the amplifier, depends on how the amplifier works.
yeah, to get the most out of it make sure you feed it 24V and enough Amps! cool vid
Or 20 volts
@@JCMDRHProductions why do you need that much voltage? Don't car audio systems run off 12v?
@@AstroCityPyro it will work on anything between 12 and 24 volts, I have the same amp an I'm using it with a 19volt brick
@@AstroCityPyro Only the low power ones work at 12V, you really think 5000-10000W amps run at 12V? The voltage swing of 10KW amps can *easily* go to 200V....You cant just make power out of nowhere
Sadly, that's actually REALLY good packaging for something ordered from China on eBay haha
TacticalBBQSauce I normally get my stuff in a big box filled with bubblewarp and in the middle of that huge box sits a tiny soic 8 thats fake...
That's how they keep the price low.
You are right, this packaging is actually good.
Thank you
I got a PC CPU cooler from eBay and it came in a small thin cardboard box in a bag
Power the 18's with it. Oh wait.. :(
Crisicus 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Lol
Johnny Buoy he had 18" subwoofers driver for the lows but he selled them
You might want to study the phoenix connectors for the barrier strip/speaker terminal, they actually work really well and it looks like you have not seen them before because you terminated incorrectly.
You should unplug the amp while attaching cables...
Mate its fine its low voltage
SKITY even if it’s low voltage speakers can use a lot of current which can cause huge sparks.
SKITY✔️ no
SKITY✔️ I had one of these blow up when I plugged it in accidentally without turning it off
That was way better than what I thought it would be
You should make a box and make awesome Bluetooth speaker
Touching the board while it is runing is always a good ideal. Especially if you have some capacitors on the board ^^.
sounded good but with solid soldered wires would probably work fine would love to see it with both channels and speakers hooked up!
what's the volt/current of your adapter?
Thank you Very much for the Video.
Excellent project
Oh, you just posted the spotfy playlist.. awesome
You should pull the power before making connections. Main reason amplifiers get shorted/destroyed.
I think now days most amp chips have some sort of short circuit protection.
Yeah, I've personally shorted (the non bluetooth version of) this amp, and still works.
@@God-yb2cg I've personally shorted the 50W version of this amp and did not responded any input after that, just the light turns on when plugged-in. rip.
@@lordofthechimie Weird, you probably shorted it for longer than I did though, I only did it for two seconds accidentally
God Actually it depends on where you shorted
Boombox with tweeter, mids, and bass!
I might build one too!
Great video! Im going to at festival, and i kinda need a speaker (Loud one, for a decent price) Any suggestions, or maybe you could do a video on a wireless speaker, with that type of amp? :)
www.amazon.co.uk/JBL-Portable-Splashproof-Bluetooth-speaker/dp/B010SWJVS6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494856424&sr=8-1&keywords=jbl+extreme+bluetooth+speakers
This one is pretty good.
Big Blue Party speaker is loud with lots of bass.
youre going to a festival and youre gonna bring a speaker? you soft in the head or wot?
It's hard on the amplifier (and potentially the speakers, with a larger amp) to plug and unplug while the amp is powered up - the same goes for wiggling that loose wire. If you want it to last, do all your wire adjusting with the power off. ;)
They work great to replace stereos in your work truck or garage. I tried one, ordered 4 more. 3 in operation if almost no issues. The one I wired into a ford van needs a capacitor across the power input to stop a very rare power reset. (noise in the power input*?)
I think you should try to blow a 2w speaker with it. BTW loving the vids
Never thought I'd get the finger watching a tech review video. 😂
make a portable speaker
ayea thats coOl!
Yea, that would be awesome!
I think il make one with almost the same amp but idk that will i make video or not.(portable speaker with 2 subwoofers and 2 tweeters)
XD
i made 1. I'm using this amplifier board on a pair of 10 inch PA speakers. powered with a 36v lithium battery pack from e-bay reduced to 24v with a buck converter... it is STUPID LOUD!!!
Hey doublesmm, I know this is a bit of an older video but I'd actually love to see ya do something with this board! I have a 2 x 6.5" speaker box made by a company called sondpex, also has "3 inch tweeters" which are actually just small piezo drivers screwed to a 3 inch plastic horn. The box claims to handle 400w but there's no way, I say 100w rms max. A few years back the company Dual made what appears to be the same product; more then likely made in the same factory from identical designs.
Anyhow, I found myself in possession of two of these boxes; $15 a piece in like new condition. I figured it was worth it for the boxes alone. I pulled one apart the other day and was pleased to find a divider in the middle for actual stereo separation. I went to town with spray adhesive and a small layer of polyfil inside the box, and comparing the one I filled to the factory one is actually pretty surprising. I intend on buying a decent 6.5 component system with crossovers and upgrading the mid-woofers and tweeters whenever the garbage (basically Dual) speakers blow. After that I'd like to buy a Bluetooth amplifier board similar to yours, and build a massive 4s li-ion battery pack out of recycled cells. Then it's just odds and ends. I can salvage a carry handle from a broken guitar amp, and buy a 4s BMS and buck/boost converter for cheap. Then I'd use an old cigar box as an enclosure for the amp/battery/electronics, and attach it to the back of the box. If you can tell what I'm getting at, I'm trying to build a Bluetooth boom box of sorts, capable of diamond-box volume levels (I didn't say sound quality!) and 16-20 hours of battery life depending on how hard you're pushing the speakers.
If you read this far doublesmm you're a saint!!! Greetings from Michigan, love all the content dude! Keep it up please, and let us know if you've still got that Bluetooth board? Is it in use today? Collecting dust in the closet?
I need one that has a coaxial audioput, I know there is a couple of them but it cost almost $40. I prefer learning how to make one instead. Is it possible to make a coaxial work? Since there is only RCA which is analog, but coaxial is digital.
It's sounds like 20w rms like the car stereo decent sound, only missing is card slot to play direct source thanks for sharing
If you want 100W/chan from the TDA7498 you need a pcb with decent sized filter inductors than can take the current, 6 ohm load and a decent 36+V supply. Most of the boards have small inductors, should handle 50W into
8 ohms or so. Note that the 100W rating is for an unrealistic 10% distortion, its 78W/chan really with 6 ohms and
decent passives. Its pretty decent chip, very low noise for a class D single-chip amp...
Hi! I have a question: Under the heatsink is there only one chip or are there two separate chips for each channel? Thanks in advance! BTW: Awesome video!
How would a mono version of one of these without the bluetooth do for powering a subwoofer?
Man .. where do you live ?! 3 months is just brutal to have to wait ..
Cool that it has pads to program the bluetooth chip; any idea what the idle current draw on this one is ? Do the inductors get hot ?
Hi, I bought the same and I would like to know what AC adaptor you're using and how many volts please. Thanks & best regards from Paris France.
I'd like to see that amp board hooked up to a pair of 5-inch 4 ohm Dayton audio nd1 speakers in a passive enclosure
Got mine home yesterday, was REALLY well packaged. sounded awesome as well.Dare to say even better than my YAMAHA AVR. :)
Hello. Great video. Can you please share how many speaker Ohms do these boards kick out?
which amplifier board will be best for 20V 3amp power source (laptop adapter) and how many speaker i need .plz let me know
Sir, can u make a video or tutorial, how to combine a TPA31162D2 BLUETOOTH AMP, when u play is together the of them, PLEASE?🙏🙏🙏
How about tightening the screws of the terminals for the speaker wires
Love the board...would this work if I made a decent wooden case..what control do u have, what was the cost and where to purchase pls? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍
does any kind of power adapter will make this bluetooth amp work? what volts do i need?
You should connect some sirens to it and blast some sounds, make the neighbors really want to move out 😂😂😂
did u add a resistor to the other speaker port to bear the load as you are just using one of the speaker outlets?
Hi, i had sony n990w blu ray player now the player amp board is not working how can i connect my 4 speakers 1 center speaker and 1 woofer to any amp. and how and where i can find such board.
Thanks ( My player was 1000W)
thanks fot the infos, i just wanted to know if there any hiss/buzz noise from this amp ?
Did you turn the amp up with the volume control on the amp as well as your phone while testing?
I’ve had tons of luck with those little amps! They’re actually quite nice.
Hello friend, I want to test this amp on a series 6s lithium (24v/15 amp) it supports well? Use as a portable box
I'm using this amplifier board on a pair of 10 inch PA speakers. powered with a 36v lithium battery pack from e-bay reduced to 24v with a buck converter... it is STUPID LOUD!!!
And what about the Bass? Is it ok,or sloppy?
@@bobsnor3849 bass is good. I made a portable spesker with 2 10 inch pa speakers. It's freaking loud
Which speakers (size) you are using with this amplifier??
Hey can you remove heatsink on it and check for resistors on pin 7 and pin 9?it will tell us the gain this board is set to!
garage speaker??
You can get quality ones on Amazon 10pound two channels 50watts each
speaker cable connector has screws on that, you don''t tighten it instead suggest ppl solder it to the back side?
how do you power it, can we bridge it for more power?
I got one of these on amazon a few years ago and it seems decent especially for what it costs but I haven't tested it on an oscilloscope or anything so idk if it does what it is rated for.
Please, what is the first songs name?? I just loved them
Thanks. But how to hookup the volume control with this type of board?
CVCCSS you have phisical buton on board and you can put other ones in parallel with wires
Hi i bought a similar board with the same chip but it's 2.1 50w x2 + 100w. I've built a portable speaker with 2 80w 4.5 inch for highs and a 10 inch PA speaker, all from dayton audio. I have it in a 70L enclosure with bassports. But it sounds bad at high volume. Could It be clipping? Im running it on a Li-Ion battery with about 24 volt. (21v min - 29.4v max). I have also tried it on a 24v dc powersupply. Thanks for your help
I have an amp from eBay it says 30w +30w TPA3118d2 amplifier with Bluetooth can I get some help on that board
I would love to see this made into a diy jukebox
thanks for video, please show up complet Processing which wire to connected. how much w can be supporting. what's card name please
i got one too. i can't bear the sound when it connect to my phone. too loud
hey
i would love to make my own Bluetooth speaker. i bouht a speaker but i don't know howmany W it is. how do i know wich amplifier i need ??
I have an indena g 807 amplifier board can i connect a 30 w speaker to it?
2:12 middle finger at the amp. What did the amp do to you, it just arrived.
Jovanni Carr probably for the sketchy connectors 😜😜
Crazy idiot
LMFAO 😂
what's with the finger dude!!!! What did it ever do to you :D
I've built several portable speakers with amplifier boards from China, and there is good stuff made there. Sure Electronics/Wondom make excellent amplifier boards. Shipping time varies depending on how soon it's loaded on to the ship. If it's loaded last it ships fast, if it's loaded first it has to wait until everything else is loaded before it starts to move. Customs can also delay things. It's not the fault of the shipper.
Make a video of how you made the portable speakers!
Survived the trip... broke when you dropped it!😁
i have a very similar tpa3116 based board with volume control and it actually changes the volume setting on my phone via bluetooth!
pls share the link from i can purchase this ... i have 4 speakers with 6 ohms impidence
Would have liked to see what the actual power output was.
Bobby Bottleservice Those boards say 100 watts a side. They lie. If you put a pair of 2 ohm speakers with the large end of the power supply they reccomend you may get about 70 watts per side. Class D arent built for good sound quality, that would be class A or AB.
I’ve gotten very fragile leds from eBay that arrived wrapped in one layer of paper and then the postage package. Now I live in South Africa and they leave parcels on the floor and often step on them.
maybe I'm a bit late to the party, but what power adapter are you using? I was planning on buying a 24V 6A cause I don't find anything more juicy for a 2*100W amp...
I was curious about how the power supply worked...
Your box has internal crossover?
Great sound check with only one channel connected.
Build a bt speaker
What are the songs you have playing in this video?
hold up now
first he tighten up the terminal screw
then when he inserted the wire he loosened it up
and then says the terminals are not gud
What kind of speaker did you use?
Anyone who is buying these boards the resistors under the heat sink R3 and R4 ( non Bluetooth board) need to be modified. On the non Bluetooth boards R3 needs to be removed and R4 needs to be swapped to a 5.6k resistor. This eliminates the noise floor hiss that everyone keeps talking about. The Bluetooth boards also can be added an antenna to increase the Bluetooth range. You need to add some hotglue on the corners of the inputs and outputs to secure the sockets.
2:12 were you gearing up for the bt not connecting with a middle finger? Lol
SHIT I MISSED THE FIRST ON BABES VIDEO
Clorox Bleach I see u EVERYWHERE!!!!!
Wait how long did it take to ship again?
how was your vacation doug? what did you do?
hook it up to your Dayton towers are see what type of excursion you get out of them!
sir which chip is good for 2.1 amp? should i go for class ab or D
Does anyone know if you can disable the start up sound on this. It is super loud. Or if someone knows where a schematic is for this I can toy with it. I think it’s a pretty good unit for the price but the ear piercing sound at start up makes it unusable to some extent.
You left the screwed pins open, no doubt they feel delicate.
do a portable speaker? I think that would be cool to watch.
I have read that with Class D amps, it's not good to run without speakers connected.
i bought a msi motherboard from ebay for cheap and it shipped in a cardboard box wrapped in tape with no protection. and it still works today
Voltage supply sir?and wattage and amperes?
What a beauty it is!
3 months? Was it coming from the Moon?
OMG i was waiting for really nice scissors and what, el cheapo what a letdown
can you send me the link to where you got it
When he was wiggling the wires I thought that was my IPad that was making the noise
Make new speaker loud bass next video
Interesting video, The output cannot exceed the supply, at best it's only a 2amp mains adapter.
Calculate with Ohms law the maximum output. Remember to test the unit at it's maximum operating voltage of 24vdc.
That tiny heat sink could not hope to dissipate the high heat generated from the 'fake' 2x 120 watts quoted in the eBay advert.
Can't really fault the board though, they work and at the price purchased, it's just the ticket to use as an effective 'preamp' for larger amplifiers.
PS. Can't believe you were wiring your speaker cables in while the board was powered.
Or that he only wired ONE CHANNEL.
the heatsink is also really undersized. it wont do much power really efficiently.
Does it have 2 tpa3116d2 transistors in it.?
