Refill Epson TMC-3400 label printer - color inkjet cartridge SJIC15P plus chip reset

This tutorial demonstrates to You how to refill an empty Epson inkjet cartridge SJIC15P, working in an Epson TMC-3400 labelprinter. Therefore we show how to extract and reuse the remaining printer ink, add new ink into the ink bags, how to check on the capacity of the waste ink section and how to reset the cartridge´s ik chip using the suitable chip resetter.

What about the reset , we have to reset it to every time when we refill or only first time?

Hello and thanks for your question. The reset of the chip has to be done each time when refilling the cartridge. The chip on the cartridge is counting down the prints that can be done with it - so after reflling and printing You will again get the message cartridge empty. That status has to be reset to FULL to be able to print again with that cartridge. We hope that explanation helps.

Hi, I’m trying to reset the chip but I’m only getting red light indicator on the resetter device. I have 2 different cartridges they’re both doing the same, what do you think my issue is?

Thanks for Your question. Please keep on trying - we also require more than one attempt to get the chip set back and getting the green light on the resetter.
The cartridges You are working with are original Epson cartridges or cartridges made by an alternative supplier?

Hello Sergio, thanks for Your question about resetting the waste ink container. The resetter in our tutorial is for the ink chips on the ink cartridges only - it cannot set back the chip on the waste ink container. We have tried in the past to find a quick and easy way to clear out the waste ink container, but we failed :( , and set back its chip - yes, there is a suitbale resetter on the market for this. But the waste ink container is not so expensive so we recommend to buy a new waste ink container instead of making a huge mess getting the old ink out of the container....
