    Also, it will not cut the width to size but it will cut the length as shown around 2:15.

    We used Quick Draw in the demo, but any version of Label Matrix should support the TM-C3400

    We used Teklynx LabelMatrix software with the Epson TM-C3400. The TM-U200 will most likely have difficulty printing labels.

    The printer has a maximum print width of 4.4", but you could print labels of virtually any length you need.

    Thanks for this video, just one question, what software can you recommend for designing the lables?

    • @POSGuys
      @POSGuys  7 лет назад

      Glad you liked the video! We suggest using Seagull Bartender label design software posguys.com/barcode-label-software_52/SeaGull-BarTender-Label-Creation_63/. You can see it used briefly on a similar printer the TM-C3500 here ruclips.net/video/ebCzEFGicFM/видео.html.
      Seagull Bartender has a basic version, a more advanced enterprise version and even in some specific printer cases a free version. Tell us a little bit about your project at 800.903.6571 or sales@POSGuys.com and we'll help identify the software that is going to meet your specific needs.

    Which version of Teklynx LabelMatrix software are you using? Quick Draw, Power Pro, etc...?

    I have used this printer quite extensively at my work printing color labels for almost 4 years now. (we use a Zebra 170 for B/W) While this is what I would call a commercial or heavy duty printer it has a few drawbacks that make it rather pricey to operate. One it always signals "Out of Ink" too soon and the Ink is EXPENSIVE. The cartridge is an "all in one" so if you are out of Black and the other 3 are full you replace them all and again they are pricey. Two the printer itself is expensive to buy and just as expensive to repair. I have had to send my printer back to Epson for repair twice. The repairs took so long (4wks) that I bought another because I needed to get label production out. IMO

      Help Desk We are sorry to hear you had a bad experience. We agree with you about the printer ink cartridge. When we made this video back in 2010 we requested Epson switch from an "all-in-one" cartridge to making them all standalone (separate cartridge for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) and fortunately they listened. We now suggest when purchasing this type of printer to purchase the newer model, the TM-C3500 for that reason. Thanks for sharing how this printer performed at your workplace!

    We are interested in replacing our ZEO printer with the Epson C3400. We make bath and body care products, so the labels need to be rugged in a wet environment. Also, we have created our labels using the software that came with the ZEO printer. Does Epson have an easy graphics software? Do you think our current labels can be exported into the Epson software?

    • @POSGuys
      @POSGuys  9 лет назад

      Hi Ann. You have a few questions so I'll do a mini Q&A down below.
      Q: Are the labels rugged in a wet environment?
      A: That depends on the label media but Epson uses pigment based inks instead of dye based inks so they are resistant to bleeding and moisture.
      Q: I already have labels created in the ZEO printer software. Does Epson have an easy graphics software that I can export labels into?
      A: Unfortunately no. You would need to purchase separate label software. We tested Label Matrix ruclips.net/video/sWOX5OfO2Io/видео.html and that worked great. Label Matrix PowerPro does have an import label function but because we have never tried ZEO's label software we don't know if it would successfully import your labels. kb.teklynx.com/knowledgemanager/questions/1651/How+to+Importing+Other+Label+File+Formats+into+LABEL+MATRIX.
      I believe the printer you should use is actually the TM-C3400's bigger sister the TM-C3500. Check out Epson's video for that one here ruclips.net/video/JW7u-xroX18/видео.html. We just ordered a TM-C3500 to demo at our office so we may be able to test whether your labels will import or not. Would you like us to email or message you when it comes in?

    I'm considering a TM-C3500 for product labeling (Beer and Wine) but am concerned about the low DPI this printer achieves at it's highest setting. Is that a limitation I should care about? How will that limitation affect what I can get out of my labels?

    • @POSGuys
      @POSGuys  8 лет назад

      +Micah Rousey Hi Micah, thanks for watching our video. Those are good questions and they deserve a detailed response. Luckily for you we've been working on a test of the TM-C3500 and we have detailed scans of labels over time. Check the Ultimate Epson TM-C3500 Printer Test out at our blog posguys.com/blog/ask-posguys/article/ultimate-epson-tm-c3500-printer-test (You'll be interested in the photos near the conclusion at the bottom.)
      In reference to your question about the printing quality our answer is, it depends. The TM-C3500 would do a great job for a label using graphic elements where you weren't interested in ultra-slick photorealism. It does a great job of printing photos but you can see the tiny dots of the pigment ink if you look close. If you are doing a craft brew and your brand is appealing to a 'buy local' market, then the quality may fit your brand as the new guy with the best tasting beer in town. If you want to look more established then custom offset labels or possibly a different inkjet printer would be what you need. The TM-C3500 will do its job well and the label color will last for a long time, the pigment inks do make a huge difference. We were thrilled when we tested it but see for yourself, check out the blog post above or our new video review ruclips.net/video/ebCzEFGicFM/видео.html
      Thanks again for the questions. If you're looking to purchase you can buy it with lifetime POSGuys support and free shipping on our site. posguys.com/barcode-printer_1/Epson-TM-C3500_2486 POSGuys.com, we support what we sell.

    How strong is the adhesive? I'm planning to stick these labels on metal if I get it.

    • @POSGuys
      @POSGuys  9 лет назад

      MrSloppyBeaver Labels can be purchased with a variety of adhesives. For example there are removable labels meant to be easily pulled from products without leaving sticky residue, freezer labels that stick to already frozen products, general adhesive for day to day use, and there are super heavy duty adhesives that will last as long as the material they are printed on. Before you buy the TM-C3400 ensure that the barcode label media that you buy with it is going to stick on metal. All that being said there are permanent labels that stick to metal for this printer. Feel free to give us a call at 800-903-6571 and we can help you find what you need.

    im using the TM-C3510 and it seems much faster than the C3400. my print size is 120mm X 100mm

    • @POSGuys
      @POSGuys  7 лет назад

      The TM-C3500 is a faster and newer version of the TM-C3400. It has other improvements as well, we love the TM-C3500 and have another video reviewing it here ruclips.net/video/ebCzEFGicFM/видео.html. We did a test on the durability of the printing over a year's time.

    Is smearing a problem with the ink on these printers? Can the image on the printed label survive humidity, refrigerator or freezer temperature?

    • @POSGuys
      @POSGuys  9 лет назад

      Smearing is not a problem with the TM-C3400 provided it is printing on the correct label media. That being said as an inkjet printer if you print on high gloss surface it does take a moment to cure. If you want labels for refrigeration or frozen conditions you should focus more on the barcode label media itself. Standard paper labels when printed may not stick to frosty products but media designed for refrigeration like Fasson Matte Inkjet Medical Paper should be fine. There are a lot of variables. Give us a call at 903-903-6571 if you’re interested in the Securcolor. We will listen to your specific printing needs and find a solution that best fits your budget and environmental constraints.

    Is the software and printer compatible for Mac?

  • @hayden22662266
    @hayden22662266 9 лет назад

    mine doesn't cut to the size of the label , it just wastes loads of the roll. And if i use a continuous roll it just spits the roll through without printing before flashing error

    • @POSGuys
      @POSGuys  9 лет назад

      hayden close sounds like the printer isn't set to use continuous rolls. It is probably searching for a gap or a black mark. This PDF has instructions on how to switch to continuous media printing. pos.epson.com/download/?AssetPK=24385&File=Media%20Edge%20Detection_Rev%20C.pdf.
      Did you buy the printer from POSGuys.com? If you did just give our support team a call and they will troubleshoot the problem with you. If you didn't then check out this link to Epson's downloads for the TM-C3400, it should help. pos.epson.com/developers/techresdetails.htm?ProductPK=634. Their site has the latest drivers, configuration software utilities, manuals, faqs and more available for download.

    • @POSGuys
      @POSGuys  8 лет назад

      The TM-C3400 prints sticky labels. That may or may not work for your candy labeling needs. If you decide to go with this printer we recommend purchasing the ruclips.net/video/ebCzEFGicFM/видео.html newer Epson TM-C3500 to save money on ink. Call and give us more details at 800.903.6571 and we can find out if this will meet your candy labeling needs.
