- In this video, I'm going to print my very first batch of roll labels. I've always outsourced my labels but wanted to be able to do some in house. This is a great way to start running small things in house. I'm going to stick with stock labels so I don't have to worry about finishing at this time. I did end up buying a finisher after these printed because, well, it's a must. It was horrible without one.

Congrats on the new printer. We bought an L801 before Christmas and still haven’t set it up 🤣🤣🤣
I bought a used L801 recently and I’m having a terrible time with it. Love everything about it, but something is scratching the surface of the media as it goes through the machine leaving a constant line on the labels. Taking it back tomorrow in hopes the company I bought it from can fix the issue.
You can adjust the fans in the advanced settings I just have them at the max suction :)

Hi, great video. I have a business printing resin onto clear labels for customers but over time the print fades due to heat, natural oils for hands etc. I print onto Polypropylene using black resin. Would this kind of printing be more permanent? Any advice?

whats the average cost per label with ink?
I have the HP 315 print and cut and love it but I have been thinking about more of a table top unit like an Afinia or Muratec that can do die cut and laminating roll to roll for longer runs. Of course they are pricey! Not quite ready to make that commitment yet.
The finisher is the expensive part. It's crazy.
Finishers are crazy prices considering they are basically a graphtec ce7000 with laminator and matrix remover etc. Should be like 3-4 grand, not 15

what software do you use to print? i am having issues sizing the label to match the printer... I need help
I print directly from illustrator
I just purchased the printer and are having a big problem setting up the size of the label
Make sure you do it in the driver and on the machine.
Great channel!! Will it print full colour edge to edge? I have two jobs 51mm x 51mm the square is red allover
If you want to print edge to edge you want to order roll labels that have the matrix still on, that way you can remove it and have a full bleed label.

If you did bopp and laminated them. But that would require a separate finisher.

It would probably work. It wouldn't be very cost effective.
