It's rare honestly that they played stuff from things Ellefson was on when he came back so this is interesting for that point.. Once 13 came out it was that and the stuff up to Cryptic.. Then when SC came out it was only that and the stuff up to Cryptic.. Same with Dystopia.. Never played anything from the previous albums from Risk to SC.. I suppose you only have so much time to play but it's odd to not to at least throw the odd one in just to keep it fresh and make a show a little more special.. I feel at about 2007 Dave was throwing songs in there from Risk and TWNAH and TSHF.. They he sang I'll Be There in 2005.. I mean like what.. Didn't think that would happen.. There used to be little jams and melodies that were added in the middle of songs like Peace Sells or She-Wolf.. Really put on a blitzkrieg in that moment.. Its so good on the Rude Awakenings DVD.. So I think so of that dynamic with the sets isn't there.. They play mostly the same set show to show maybe moving the order around a little.. Its a strong set.. And when you have an hour and 15 minutes you only have so much time.. People will obviously want to hear Symphony, Peace Sells and Holy Wars.. After that I feel you are more free to add and remove.. You don't need to play Hanger 18.. Or Tornado.. They should be largely on rotation in and out.. In and out.. In place of each song have like 3 songs to rotate.. So maybe Trust, ATLM, Back in the Day.. For example.. Do that with 8 other songs and that's a good set that's fresh and different.. You might get Trust, I'll Get Even, Angry Again at your show.. Then at mine 2 shows later I get ATLM, Reckoning Day, DATFM.. Man..
And if they recorded there shows and put out the odd video of some of these more rare songs in the live setting it would be great.. Get a nice flow of content, catch some more eyes and ears.. I know I'd like to hear them do Paranoid or 99 Ways to Die.. Hidden Treasures couldn't be more to the truth.. The should do another with their B-Sides that didn't get released with their original recordings outside or maybe a preorder bonus or the Japan copy.. Things like Out on the Tiles and Melt the Ice Away.. I'm not sure maybe put an original song or two on there.. I don't know if Dave ever did anything with the music he made for that Will Farrel movie.. That would fit a Hidden Treasures part 2 release.
I'm just flowing with ideas of what they could do to.
