the characters were far more concerned with the problems effecting them personally, the swamp getting poisoned, getting the carnival set up, their home being turned inhospitable, fucking pirates
like idk man even when the moon plays a part it usually still feels focused on those personal issues like "man I wish i could see these chickens grow up" or "I need to be married to my beloved" than "holy shit the moons gonna kill us all what the fuck"

even just zooming in exclusively on the ranch sidequest the focus is moreso drawn on "we have to save the cows from aliens!" and "we need to keep these guys from stealing our produce!" with the oncoming apocalypse largely being what underscores that
because to somewhat quote Cremia what the fuck can she do about the moon, making sure she can support her and her sister is something that matters far more in the moment and is something she at the very least has control over

Getting fund by the Canadian Government to make a game is not very difficult. Someone managed to make an anarchist art piece thing out of Fallout 1 (or 2). It sucks ass but it's there.

aye, the fund that creators tap into was originally made in 2010 as a means to "foster and encourage the creation of Canadian-made Projects", aka assist with meeting the demand of CanCon Regulations by easing the reliance on dated content by funding new works.
it absolutely creates some of the most absurd things out of the belief that its protecting cultural identity, and while sometimes it is succeeding at its intended goal, other times its just producing slop that hinders better works from being shown.

I feel like this game is the definition of missed opportunity. Like, imagine if your choices lead to who you spend your last day on earth with.
Maybe you’d want to spend your time with your friends and ignore the looming threat, maybe you’d want to spend it with your family and having to see your parents realize they’ll never see you grow up, maybe you’d want to spend it making amends with your enemies or fulfilling a bucket list.
Hell, have a route where you play D&D the entire time and have your last moments alive being you pretending to kill a Tarrasque or some shit.

Because 4chan couldn’t help themselves with a hate campaign so people took undue pity on it (this is entirely 4chan’s fault for not being normal people since the campaign started long before we knew literally anything about the game)
TGE's ideological capture. In 2023 they introduced the "game for impact" category, basically how hard does your game tow the line. This game didn't even win it because the impact was cut from the game.

The fact this was one of the PS5 release game is shocking but what surprising more is this game stick like a sore thumb between the other games in the trailer yet it was waaaay delayed than the others
The most telling part of the game is how many tangents the commentary of this video ends up going on. Instead of discussing what's going on in the game's story (except to express frustration with the writing), much of the talk is about other pieces of media.

@@santinogirado5487 it’s like comparing a pile of feces to garbage. Sure there may be flecks of something edible in there, but ultimately the two things are more or less equally bad. I take exception to snoot and I wani because they were made with the express purpose of being better than something else, and decided they wanted to kind of be a douche about it too, so I hold it to a higher standard than I would normally. If that weren’t the case I’d just say those games are alright and call it a day, but when you are a shitty version of night in the woods with less gameplay and more edginess I will absolutely criticize you for it, especially when you hype yourself up as the better version of something else.

I don't want anything to do with weird furry scalie anthro dinosaur dating sim games in general. I went out of my way to play this game not because I was really hoping for a good game in that genre, I played it because my friends know I like dinosaurs and they thought it would be hilariously terrible. Snoot Game offers nothing for me. There is nothing I have any interest in there. I'm sure it's a just fine game in that genre, but it's one I want nothing to do with.

Watched the vid to the end, and the main thing that made it entertaining was Fish and Vince's conversation, and sometimes I would even look away or tilt my screen down to just listen to them. But overall, I kinda enjoyed it, 6/10 watch at your own risk(the vid was great, the game, not so much)

Those were some dumb takes on Black Panther though. I can understand finding Black Panther overhyped, but a point made by the movie that Wakanda's isolation kept the nation safe, but they didn't act when others needed help even though they had the resources to do so. Killmonger is also supposed to be a hypocrite, repeating the actions of the very "colonizers" he despises.
Spme of the designs coukd use a tweak or two but they by far arent the worse ones ive ever seen. They are by far the only part of this "game" with any amount of time grinded into it for what you ended up with.
