- My friend and I travelled to Melaka Malaysia from Kuala Lumpur and spent 24 hours in the red city. In this video we show you what to do and see in Melaka. We were so shocked at how European it feels and is so different to Kuala Lumpur. I would highly recommend Malacca to tourists to visit when travelling to Malaysia!

The river usually in greenish colour , but bcoz of now raining seasons the colour turns to brown.. it's normal..
More like teh tarik colour...lol
Lol
Heavy rainfall plus lesser human activities during MCO made the river water clean and clear. Muar river also like that, usually the brownish color water will come back in a week.
River in jungle always clear and clean because of lesser soil sediment and human activities.
last time i was there several months ago the river was pretty clean and clear! must be the monsoon season with the rain disturbing the water almost every day at this point
Wow welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾🎉 terima kasih 👍
By the way, there are a TON of places you guys have to check out
Like my dad would always say, "If you want to visit Melaka and want to see everything, 3 days and 2 nights is the perfect amount of time to stay."
Hope you guys had fun visiting Melaka
And ps. cheap foods are not at restaurants, cafes or bars. If anything, it's rare to find "cheap" food at those places.
Hawker stalls are usually cheaper
But then again, we have so much food and culture, it's genuinely hard to say where, which and what is better
Great video.. i like it. Malacca is one of the most picturesque per kilometer city in the world especially at night. It is worth every frames. As for the local foods, the next time, try the more regular places which are full with local vibes (and patrons) instead of the more cozy which of course cost u more dollar. I think u can get a third of what u paid. The trishaw is fun to watch but i dont think its worth the money.. but its once in a lifetime, why not. Same goes for the river cruise. All in Malacca is a great location. Its worth more if u spend more time exploring the whole Malacca which offers u great Malay, Baba Nyonya and Portuguese cuisines, and lots of historical places plus its unique and antique villages.
Skye you should go to Portuguese Settlement, Melaka. You will enjoy the food and the culture of the Portuguese community over there, further more it's Christmas Season go and check the Christmas Decorations on each and every house over there and you will be amazed
Malaysia is predominantly Muslim country right ?
@@human-wd8pg Yes, but it's also a very diverse country with cultures, races, religions. You'd have to come to Malaysia and see for yourself buddy
Thanks you for come to my hometown melaka and tomorrow you can go jonker walk night market try any food start from 6 pm afternoon to midnight 12 pm last I want said thanks you so much
Actually most of the rivers in Malaysia are brown because of it's muddy not polluted tho 😁😀
Correct. I am from melaka, the river was clean and clear during the lockdowns.
Brown color is a pollution caused by soil sediment. You shall go to mulu national park to see unpolluted crystal clear river.
@@fauzanriez9472the river water is becoming clear for a week or so after heavy rains in mid and upper stream areas. It will turn brown slowly with heavy human activities around the river catchment area. Ship propeller is disturbing soil sediment on the floor and making the water more muddy. Water jet engine shall be considered to minimize disturbance on soil sediment and keep the water more clean.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video n for showing your explorations in Melaka, a UNESCO world heritage site. Happy New Year to u Skye.
My grandfather was Malay from Melaka he was a merchant seaman who settled in tiger bay cardiff in the late 1930s .I would love to visit Melaka one day
During covid curfew with no activities, the water was crystal clear.
I have a recommendation in melacca threre is a restaurant called the baboon House you can go eat there the food is amazing
Nice video sharing

Welcome to my hometown ladies!
Love the honesty in your video ❤️❤️
Melaka is historic state...

Malacca is the Historical city... Very Cultural City and the birthplace of mixed community of Portuguese in Malaya(Old Malaysia)
The river gets muddy only after the rain.
hi, what's the name of the hotel you stayed, it's very nice. i would like to go back to melakka again. i would like to find a good hotel like the one in this clip, please review more. thanks in advance.
There is a place called Kg Morten (Morten Village) where you can see traditional malay houses. I always enjoy the old architecture and they are pretty and colourful ones.
I just subscribed your channel ✅🙋🏼

Come again, and try the fresh ikan bakar, one of famous dishes in Melaka since early 80s. Just google it.
And also not to forget do visit some of the museums which will explain the history of Melaka (dates back almost a thousand years back), and the origin of chinese people some 700-800 years ago.
And also the invasion of Portuguese in the year 1511, before Dutch in 1641 and later the British.
Amazing melaka 👌👌😍
Darling Skye.......you supposed to contact me and can bring you around melaka with beautiful places and affordable food that is much more cheaper than KL. Hahaha
😆😆😅
Luckily you have day, Birmingham at the moment pretty cold, no where to go out
Shouldn't be too cold today and yesterday, compared to last week or week before?

4:02 usually in June and July the water is very clear blue until you can see the beautiful fish
Nice!… 😊
You should try ASAM PEDAS very spicy and sour food
If you go to Melaka town you will see more Chinese influence but the outskirts especially the villages are more Malays which you can find more delicious and cheaper foods.. explore more 👍✌️😎
so nice vlog
❤❤❤❤
Pak putra tandori would be nice
How about u go to kota kinabalu
What the name of the hotel in malacca
Baba nyonya👍
Need any food recommendations? I'm Melaka food vlogger
Malacca town just like most of the towns in malaysia are chinese looking. The british during their colonial rule encourage the chinese to emigrate to malaya . About 2 million were brought in to work in the mines and plantations and almost all did not return. They stayed in the towns. That is why.
🤗
🇲🇾✌
❤️
u should try rendang made by malays.... thats the original taste....
Malaysians call westerners as "Mat Salleh" for man and "Minah Salleh" for woman. Or "Orang Putih" due to fair skin
your friend so beautiful girl.
Famous for its chicken rice ball and Baba Nyonya food but Melaka is more famous for its view than the food.
Psst...Georgetown walks over Melaka. 😉
if you like Melaka, you will love Georgetown!
Melaka is nice, but Georgetown really does take the cake in Malaysia. Just left after a 11 days there, on my fifth visit.
i thought your friend was this Malaysian celebrity, Diana Danielle if she had dark hair colour.
Split the bills then cheaper it will be
Suggest to wear more covered clothing 😊
Chicken rendang not crispy.
Rendang actually famous dish in the world from INDONESIA
Who is that pretty girl with you? Can follow her in social media? Thanks.
Don't come to Malaysia anymore if you want to complain on everything
Your friend attached? Asking for a friend.
WTF! The restaurant’s food was too expensive for that portion, that mediocre standard! The riverside was absolutely depressing as it’s empty and dead and it’s impossible to express the once charming and the happy vibes good old Melaka days back in the 16-20 years ago now it’s all gone and it’s so depressing to even watch this video.
How about u go to kota kinabalu
