You will lose brightness by using the filter settings. This is just to sacrifice the brightest to tune the color tone. The green tint issue is hardware based, there is no way to fix it without affecting the display performance

Sorry for not watching the full video, before replying but playing with color filter will never be perfect. Every time I had a good setting something was odd on some corner case. I solved my problem by repeatedly toogle true tone on/off under bright light. So it is a software problem, where part of true tone was not prober initialized/hanging even when not active. Somehow people in threads about this problem, find it laughable and rather want to spent their time exchaning phones and compare pictures/serial-numbers. Their choice, I am just happy I can enjoy my phone now. Apple really should have moved much faster on this issue and adressed it, it is beyound me why they haven't, but it is their problem dealing with unhappy customers and returned phones.

Guys, Try this once: Turn off true tone. Go to Accessibility > turn on-off auto brightness 4/5 times. At the end keep it on and try to bring the iphone in bright light or use other mobile's torch light. see if brightness changing. Force restart by pressing vol up + down and keep pressing power button. Do this 2/3 times and see the differnece. Turn on true tone. I have tried this 3 days before and it's working till now. Let's see what happens.

I had to rerun my iPhone 12 pro because the pictures would come out grainy or to bright it was weird. The yellow tint bothered me plus when recording it would flicker a bit. The camera was just weird. Overall for the price I was not happy having all these issues. Maybe I got a bad one idk .

I just noticed the slight pink line from top to bottom on the right side of my iphone 12 pro max display and the line is only visible on white background. Spot on. Hue is key. I happened to toy around with this yesterday on a display device in the store because I had heard of this problem. I discovered that tweaking the hue on the 12 allowed me to match or even exceed the cooler default display on my XS.

Thanks for the tip. Too bad I didn't know this before I reserved my iphone 12. However, apple can color-calibrate it from their lab and release an update with the right tone already setup. that will save alot of time for users to figure things out. OR Apple just allow users to be able to turn off their blue tone filtering (which explains the slightly yellowish hue) For me, The way I look at this video. I think it's fine to keep it on stock settings (without using color tones) as I want to avoid blue light. My eyes got damaged already from all the LED drop-down lights in our office. I never worn glasses my entire life until three years after we move to our new office with those LED tube lights installed all around the office area. I guess the blue light from the led tubes caused the gradual damage to my eyesights that now requires me to wear corrective glasses. I still love flourescent lamp. it's more on the 5000 - 5500 Kelvin color temp. Which is the range of the natural sunlight. LED lamps are at about 6000-6500Kelvin, which is cutting close to blue light already

@Rizky Pahlevi Tegema - Definitely the 12 because the iphone 11 has an lcd panel and in an lcd panel your display is backlit...therefore illuminating all pixels at once. Whereas in an oled panel each pixel emits its own light therefore giving you better colors in general. The 12 also has a higher pixel density. The 12 also has an hdr display so when you’re watching hdr content the screen can get to a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. In my iPhone 12 in depth review video I’ve done a comparison of an lcd and oled panel. You’ll definitely get better results on the 12 whether it’s for watching videos, pictures etc. hope this helps and thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽😊
Those are color blind filters so what may not work for you may work for someone else, great video nonetheless! Also may I recommend a light facing you for your talking head shots, it might get rid of some noise and add more detail, just a suggestion! Nice video!

I just disable to True Tone it’s way too yellow. Bad screen manufacturing by apple

Screen is also not vibrant. The colours are dead. I returned the 12. Its a disgrace.

@Mems - Then you should reach out to apple, this is the only thing I was the only support I was given for this issue and was told that if not fixed I’d need to have it replaced.
