1932-40 ford door hinges from Scratch

A simple design really requires the most attention, patience and precision. Many mistakes and hours into the build, a simple hinge ends ups being a two day project. Well worth it though .

I would never have gotten the idea to make these myself! Well done. Best way to finish the gap is with a mill, but not always readily accessible to most people!

ah a mill … one machine every man must have , definitely looked into one myself, and would make a great addition to the shed , in time . 🤙🏻

@@WingitCustoms could be finished in a Triton work centre. I know they're 30 years old but with a metal cutting disc in a circular saw, can shave it up to the desired height. Can still do stuff in them that challenge drop saws. Very adaptable.

cool stuff great result.....i bought some from UES here in perth they are called back flap hinges .
they were quite reasonable......but nothing like making your own,well done
