That's a great result, and low cost too. Now I might have a go to make a similar set up. Can make a door skin for my Kombi, or something similar. Thanks for sharing.
Liked the slightly thicker dies you used, and the results where Awesome! Its amazing the results you can get for how little you have invested in that machine.
When you first started on the test piece I thought the dies were too far apart & not working good enough...then I see it was going brilliantly. Pretty darn impressive. I saw Karl's set up when he started it & thought it was a thing of serious potential, didn't know it'd work that well. Its a win. Keep on keeping on, you're nailing it!!! Top stuff, hit subscribe for sure
Defintely sunscribed & following. The die making is where I might fall down or get hesitant but I spose its just keep trying till ya nail it :-) @@WingitCustoms
I almost bought the one from karl but didnt like the limited depth on his yours is deeper i like that i think im going to dig up some metal and built one like yours i see so many possibilities for it not sure why your channel came up but you have a new subscriber now look forward to more videos
cheers mate, appreciate it🤙🏻, I did think the same about the depth but in saying that the strength of it would be incredible which would make it smooth and less vibration, plus a foot pedal,
Hey Man this is great (Hi From New Zealand BTW) i Absolutely love Karl Fisher, and the new tool ... but this is great and more realistic for us way overseas, so great job ... i do like the duel action that you have too... do you have a video of how you made the tool?? can't see it in you video library ... or could you do a short close up review please... just so we can gleen some more details cheers
hi mate cheers , I’d recommend Karl’s hammer the og. I haven’t done a video on my one in respect to Karl . the one I built has its weaknesses trial and error. I managed to break two hammer pieces now on that top die which I haven’t figured out why yet .but absolutely appreciate the feedback 🤙🏻
I have a hunch the side to side affect definitely but more so the pressure up and down as it swings on a pivot point , I recon the hammer head isn’t hitting level.
@@WingitCustoms I've been working on my one... i recon the arms of the guide for the top dye have too much flex ... because we're giving it a much bigger throat... if you look at Karls the body of his gives it a lot of support and then he has the support pieces top and bottom that also stiffen it up so no twisting etc...Make sense?? just a thought ... i might us tube 50mm x 25 even.
I like your project and the direction your going but some of those profiles are beyond a nightmare to reproduce in one piece, you should check out Fitzee fabrication and see how he makes complex shapes with several different pieces, it's so simple I felt stupid for not having the idea myself,,😅
THAT IS SPOT ON MATE.. REALLY WORKED OUT WELL FOR YOU. IT'S GOOD TO SEE OTHER AUSSIES HAVING A CRACK AT SOMETHING NEW TO MAKE. CHEERS FROM CHILL IN N.S.W ...
Great job!
Be sure to send Karl a picture.
Awesome 👍…. Good old Carl sharing knowledge.
Credit to you it’s certainly a skill to make your own tool & dies … can’t wait to see more 👏

Your tool worked out good done Nice shape
Right on cheers definitely beats down the shapes

thanks Chris, worth a build. 👍🏼

cheers I’m actually considering going thinner dies. comes down to power of the hammer . thinner would still come out good less work for the hammer .
Beautiful work on all your projects! Thanks for sharing this project, the air hammer was an inspired addition!
Glad you liked it! cheers ben

@@WingitCustoms wow full on... is that because it moves side to side... yeah I'm trying to combine your ideas and his
