Just purchased a 'BIGBOI MINI' and can say this thing is amazing!!! had second thoughts as a good towel was sufficient but this gets into all the areas that cause water run off and streaks. The build is solid throughout the unit from the cord to the air exhaust nozzle, I very rarely write comments but this products is next level and want to share it! Cheers!

Used the Mini for the first time last weekend and its fantastic. Really gets in all the nooks and kranies.
The big boi pro has been a life saver for me.. I own a sandblasting business and when we do wet blasting this tool really helps get the substrate dry so the hold tight can do it's job. Worth the price for sure!

I'm just playing catch-up with your videos as I have just subscribed to your channel. I have had the Big Boi Mini for about 4 months, and have no negative comments so far about it. I have the latest Hyundai Tucson and it is parked outside 24/7. I use Optimum ONR as my wash solution, where you wash and dry one panel at a time. The Big Boi Mini comes in after to blow out the hidden water that is held in and behind crevices, lighting seals and in door and panel seals, wheels, side mirrors when opened/closed where a towel cannot access and the fuel cap area, so you don't end up with any water streaking when you drive off. Enjoyed the review.

I already have the mini and its fantastic piece of kit only negative was the wind speed controller was not working properly so had to send it back to get a new replacement. 👍🏻
Thanks Sandro. Great review as usual. Was looking at getting the mini but my visa was full from other purchases this month 😅. Using it for dusty interiors looks like an option too which is a bonus.

Great review, I bought the buddi about 3 weeks ago and I just used it today for the first time. It works fine but after seen your video I wish I had bought the mini, Great product though and does the job. I use the narrow circular nozzle but it looks the rectangular would be better to use to dry the car. Thank you for a good review.

I’ve got the MetroVac Sidekick, it’s a great little blower but no good for drying large surfaces. I think I’ll purchase one of the BigBoi Pro blowers, it looks very capable👍

the mini as you said is the best, for a weekend warrior like me. I think I will go for the mini. now that the mini plus is also out.

I know this is not about the video but I've just came across your channel and subscribed after the first video I watched, love your content! My question though, I've just watched your video about how to paint correct by polishing the bonnet and showing all the equipment (at this moment i think it is your third newest video), thing is that I can get a pretty good finish for an amateur but as soon as it comes to a curved panel such as a wheel arch mainly, I just can't help but get swirl marks where the pad won't lay flat. Would you be able to put up another tutorial video on how to get the perfect finish on curved body panels? I haven't been able to find any channel that does a tutorial on anything but a flat surface but you are by far the best with how detailed you are so would love an in depth from you.
I've a Mini BigBoi and i'm very satisfy about it, he does the work perfectly even on SUV and motorcycle. less expensive than competitor.
Thanks. You make a good point about the connector issues. I bought the Ego leaf blower which is popularised on US car detailing channels such Obsessed garage. Having a mobile, cordless unit is much nicer. The issues with it include not being heated and not having an air filter, but practically these not been an issue. For a garage, charging the battery would be the major stumbling block but it has a fast charge capability
Which one you have 530? What setting do you use it for drying a car? The battery is good? Do you recommend it?
@@genysmenrunner1677 The 580. The other thing is that you need to hold the whole leaf blower rather than just the tip and there is more noise being next to you, so you may need ear protectors.
Battery is good, lasts around 20mins on highest setting. Battery interchangeable with other Ego stuff. Make sure you get the highest capacity battery though. I use the 5amp.
Overall I still prefer using the Ego. So easy being cordless. And rarely I actually use it as an leaf blower :)

Hey Sandro, great review! I have been debating getting the MB Revolution but need to get a 20A circuit installed in the garage for it but perhaps I should consider the Bigboi mini. It's strictly for home use and maybe the MB Rev is overkill. Would love to hear you opinion on the matter comparing those two: is it apples and oranges or big apple/smaller apple?

the video helped me to decide which one for me, the Mini, great help thanks. still need a drying towel for the bonnet and roof though but my main car is a large estate.

Thinking of buying one in next few days to hopefully make drying the car easier and help not scratch it.
Hoses can be upgrade on all blowers to a softer type mine by Adam's has silicon tips and the soft hose has a cloth material around it to avoid rubs thou these are upgrades and I keep them in my car carrier but keep that in mind anything can be upgrade in time according to your budget

Just picked up the mini yesterday from you guys at waxit and I love it. Contemplating whether to upgrade to the pro as I am a mobile detailing so would love to know if the extra is worth it? Sandro saying its only a couple minutes quicker makes me think not. Overall not much quicker than a hand drying towel but less fatigue and doesnt miss an area like a towel. Highly recommend the hose is amazing !!

Just got big boi blower very powerful and they now come with locking nozzle only two nozzles now so far very pleased

I have the master blaster revolution and I hate the hose too so I got a bigboi pro hose and adapted it to my metrovac. Problem solved. Metrovac needs to offer a hose like this. Great video.
JD Palmer how hard was it to adapt the bigboi hose to the master blaster? I agree with you I hate the hose on the master blaster.
Al Missed your reply sorry. It takes some effort. Both ends of the bigboi hose just screw off clockwise. One end of the metrovac hose also screws off but the other end adapter is smooth bore and glued in with adhesive. I had to cut that end off the hose and used adhesive remover and heat gun to slowly work out the piece of hose and glue. Then epoxy seal the end of the bigboi hose into the metrovac adapter. It took some time but it’s so much better now.
Would you know how the blowing power of the Big Boi Pro compares to the Adams Air Cannon? I haven’t seen any comparisons between these two. I need to pick one soon. Would you have any insight on this?

I was looking at the Mini+ (Dual Motor) but the standard mini is doing a Free 9m Hose promotion at the moment, so considering getting the lower model.
@@markymoo22 I went with the mini and it's great for me. The pro was too powerful for where I'm at business wise. A 9 meter hose would be a great upgrade. 😁
Great review. I got a Harley and in the process of buying a small Volkswagen Up! though I detail others cars including my mums Audi Q5. I am a guy who sits on the middle units for many reasons as you get good performance at mid level price and I just know the Pro would be more for a mobile or static detailer unit.... I got a Shinemate ex620 15mm unit on order thanks to your input today (I did kick up the range slightly on your reco but hey I cannot help it when sales come lol) and buying a big boi Mini again thanks to your review on this video.

Excellent Products. But! Looking for an alternative that you may already own? I use my Sthil Electric Leaf Blower. Powerful, and it does a great job in getting all the water off may car.
Sandro was that the stock hose on the Mini or extended one ? So would you but this over the Metro Vac , or say EGO Cordless leaf blower to dry at enthusiast that washes at Home? Have these units held up since it has been a tear since you made this video? Who makes the cart you used in video? Thanks

great review as always mate. I have done a review of the Bruhl MD2800 which seems to be very similar to the Big Boi BlowR Pro. The Bruhl is even cheaper I paid around 200 EUR for mine.
The Bruhl MD2800 is more expensive for Australia. Looking on eBay only

Great review. I will go for buddy as I think it's enough for my bmw f20 hatchback. I am just wondering whether air temperature won't be too hot in summer and if it's ok for painting. Mini version has turn on/off heating option.

Hi mate .Been a subscriber for a few yrs now love your videos .I’m stuck between the buddy or mini .I have a bad back so the handheld one looks better to use for me but I’m worried it’s not going to be strong enough to clear most of the water
Because you don’t have to hold the whole unit up, just the hose nozzle with the mini, it may in fact be easier on your back and you can pull it around the car on the wheels, and because it does have more power you should be able to get the car dry faster which should also help your back out.

Hi, honestly best review for Bigboi dryers on RUclips 🙌🏻 just wanted to ask, some models (+ models especially) have the wind control dial. Is that better to have than just the low high switch? Or doesn’t make a difference? Thanks in advance
Thanks and although an air volume/wind precise dial is certainly nice to have I’m not sure it’s going to be hugely used or needed - in 90%+ of cases I’m using the blowers at full capacity and having a low mode switch is more than fine for more rare occasions I may not want full flow.
you say professionals like better looking products, and also better smelling fragrances and i agree. What company do you use for the smelling sprays after the vehicles interior is cleaned?

thanks for this video! I've been delaying getting a proper car blower for couple of years, was using a cheap leafblower, which has finally died :-D so now i dont have any excuse to not get a proper one :-D i only recently found out when going through specs of these, that it actually heats the air, which is awesome. however, since you've used it, i hope you can answer me one thing 🙂 we have very hard water, and when i wash dark/black car, when drying with towel you always leave marks/spots, i believe from calcium or something like that, and its impossible to dry it nice, because the spots always stay there, so i always have to go through the whole car with quick detailer (or carpro reload for past few years), to have it really nice and spotless.. does the heated air from the blower actually sort this out? on the video i see that it pretty much leaves the surface dry 😲 my leafblower was obviously weak, because i still had to dry the car with towel after the blow..

Nice to hear the video was helpful. The quicker you can dry the vehicle after washing the less chance you’ll leave any mineral/waterspot deposits in the finish. That’s also going depend on the state on the paint, how contamination free it is and how hydrophobic the surface is. Basically the better the paint’s condition and its protection, the better the drying result, but having very hard/high mineral water is obviously going to make things more difficult. So I can’t say if it will solve your issue, I fortunately have soft water in my state and even use a deionised water system at home so I unfortunately cant confirm what the situation would be like with hard water, but I hope that helps.

Have you used/tried the Mini Plus? That's the model I went for. It was cheaper than the Pro and has almost the same CFM/FPM.

Can you manage to dry the whole car and does it feel powerful enough?
@@markymoo22 it’s a very good product I was able to dry the whole car but I’m likely to use a hybrid approach on my cars. I.e. a wiping blade for windows including panoramic roofs, drying towels for large panels like roof bonet etc then follow up with the dryer for all the details around lights door and boot shuts scuttles grills etc where the blown air really comes into its own. I’ll make my final decisions once I’ve used it a bit more.
Legit just got a buddi for flying out the cracks and holy crap, it’s powerful.

Thanks for another great video, as far as the mini (mid sized) is concerned, how efficient is it at drying a non coated vehicle?...... Say for drying prior to commencing a full detail as well as dust/residue removal during/after polishing sets on say sensitive soft paints or for a final blow off before lsp application? Again.... Love you videos, your attention to detail and passion for detailing is second to none in my opinion 👍
I've just got a Ryobi hand blower, and on a none protected paint, it takes quiet awhile to blow off water compared to a protected finish.
However, it's just a cheaper handheld.

I am looking to buy the pro version for personal use because of more power, less time spent in garage drying. I monthly wash a sedan and a midsize SUV, the roof of those cars are quite flat.
I got the McKee 37 turbo dryer (with a shop vac motor) last week, they work great but however, they are extremely loud and I am afraid it may damage my hearing if used for two cars drying in a row, and I really don't like the look and build quality of that.
So I am looking to buy a better one, now I am comparing BigBoi Pro with MetroVac Master Blaster, so can I ask when you talked about MetroVac Blaster, do you mean the 8hp Air Force Master Blaster (dual motors) or the 4hp Air Force Blaster (single motor)?
Do you know how Mini and Pro compares to the McKee 37 Turbo dryer, in terms of drying performance.

Wow, if the Pro has similar power to the 8HP Metrovac but quieter and with better hose, then I would go for the Pro!
However, do you really think I could use the extra power of the Pro? How much better it is compare to Mini in terms of power? Double the power, 50% more, or 30% more if I am drying a mid size sedan + a mid size SUV together every month?
Your video says Pro can be few minutes faster, however, for a bigger car, will the pro have more advantage? (the demo car looks like a small car)
I really want to get the best of the best, but I don't want to pay for the extra for only a little gain, kind of torn between Mini and Pro

I’m probably not the best person to ask as I’m really more into the higher end units because the cheaper ones simply don’t last in my experience. I’ve got a Kranzle K2160T at work and a Kranzle KHD7 at home and I just love that they perform great and never break down. I went through loads of cheaper washers in the past but it was just one headache after another and spending more upfront has actually saved me money and heartache in the long run.

Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.
Can I use the buddi in the car interior to blow out dirt and dust or is it the air too hot for that ? Thank you
I would not use it for that but a tornador car vac cleaning gun would be a much better outcome for cleaning your cars interior
How loud is the BUDDI? Do you need ear protection like you would when using a leaf blower?
You need ear protection when using Mini or Pro. I have Mini and it will damage your ears if not using protection.

Weird question. Which of these 3 blowers will most likely be able to dry a car in a -4 degree weather? Will the heat be sufficient enough to melt and dry the frozen water droplets?
Living in Australia I’m unfortunately not the best person to ask about that as snow and ice isn’t something we typically deal with. However, I would except the pro to be the most capable there.
Do you have your pro model plugged in to a 20v socket or 15?
It’s just an Australian standard 230-240v socket

Its not high at all! In fact its cheap! Compare to the Master Blaster Revolution! DONT compare to a f@cking amateurish Leaf Blower!

It will depend on the ambient temperature and how far away the nozzle is from the surface but I’ve owned both and I personally haven’t notice a major difference between them in relation to that.
A regular blower wont do a car but now I know what to buy.
What do you think of the buddi vs metro sidekick pros and cons?
I don’t think there’s a lot in it as far as blowing/drying performance, the main difference is build quality and materials. The Metrovac will tend to be more durable and take a little more punishment, in my experience that’s the real difference between both brands, metal vs plastic and some higher quality parts and that’s the real price difference as well.

how long is the hose? I would love to wall mount this
I thought I covered the length of the hose in the video - can remember for sure, but it’s really not long enough to be wall mounted and reach both sides of a car, maybe one side and maybe you can buy a second hose and combine them - but not entirely sure mate.
I own a car wash shop, and on average we wash 4 cars per day, mininlm. Currently we towel dry. I plan to get a blower, and use it in combination with a towel. What recommendations does everyone have? BTW, I guess these blowers work best when the vehicles have some protection on them. Flat water surfaces maybe a challenge, correct?
If speed is your main goal and the cars don’t have a hydrophobic sealant/coating, towels will be a more efficient option.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks for the info. Thought so. Though was thinking of applying a drying aid/coat so that it beeds, then blast it off with the blower. For example, Gyeon Wet Coat or similar. Thoughts?
