How To Make A Wire Scroll Jewelry Set

- Hello friends
In this beginner friendly tutorial, I will take you step by step through how to make a gorgeous jewelry suite, of necklace and matching earrings.
This design is widely used, but you can make it to suit your desires... use beads in each component, or none at all, or like I've done here, attach a bead in alternate scroll components.
As always, my tutorial is slow and deliberate, using widely recognised techniques, which are generic. Perfect for the beginner.
Materials you will need:
1.25mm (16g) wire of your choice
0.5mm (24g) wire of your choice
6mm beads
Flush cutters
2 x chain nose pliers
6 step pliers (mine are 2-9mm increments)
Or, round nose, as is your preference
Hammer and bench block (optional)
5mm or 6mm jump rings
Ear wires of your choice

I love this shape. Very versatile. I've used dyed fresh water pearls and dyed coral in the past. They both bled if worn touching the skin. OK for earrings. Are all dyed stones permanent? Do you know how to judge pearls and coral, or how to treat to prevent bleeding. I do love some of the dyed colors.
It depends on the stone, to be honest. I have found dyed pearls do bleed too, so I seldom use them. I’m not sure about preventing them from bleeding, to be honest. I’d think there would be something you could paint onto the surface to help that, but I’m not sure.

Glory is going great and has pretty much fully recovered from his pneumonia, thank you so much for asking about him. He’s getting older now though so he’s slowing down a bit, sadly. I have more chain links to come, so watch this space! 😍
I want to make this set but I accidentally ordered square wire rather than round. Do you think it’ll still work okay or shall I try to send it back? I’d love your advice!!
Ooh that’s a good question. I haven’t used square for this design, so I can’t say for sure. But I’d think that as long as you don’t twist the wire it would look pretty good 😊 Sorry I couldn’t be more help
