I love the honesty of your reviews Mike, you tell it how it is in a light hearted way only you can do, it’s a great thing you do taking time to keep us all entertained with your videos.
Thanks Stephen
Thanks good sir 🙂
11:57 We're not that busy... time watching your vids isn't wasted!! Your videos are fascinating! Thank you for making em!
I'm living for the day when Claas combine shows up in your yard.
Wikkitt Klown thats not a combine😂😂
andban92 ouh yes a 8900 lexion
Not available in the US
@@jojodat8794 how come?
@@andban92 They have not developed a header yet to satisfy the appetite of such large combine to be useful in NA.
Great Video Mike. We had one of these on Demo and it's Nice Combine but just unsuitable. We had problems Moving Fields because roads here in South of England 60% of the ones we use are also open public roads. Even getting in gateways gave us issues with the cutting bar. We run 2 Lexion 540and a Dominator 88, s and only use fraction more fuel. I would if circumstances were better then I would love to run one of these but I chose this life because I love doing it like my Father, and his father ect ect.
Love your videos and what you do have a blessed day
Thanks good sir 🙂
Good morning Mike. I hope they all tighten bolts and nuts properly
Me too! 😬😂
Mike??? Your never wasting our time mate!! I look forward to your posts!
Mike I want to thank you for taking the time to make these videos for us to see life on your farm. I understand that it's not always possible to make videos every day when you are very busy and farming comes first. But always look forward to viewing a new video when you post a new one. Have a good 2020 harvest Mike
Thank you Mark! 🙂
Can't wait for some night videos with all those lights going!
Should see us from the International Space Station 😂
It'll probably look just like a daytime video. Lmao.
@Doc Savage Pretty sure they know what they are doing...
I am so excited. I can't wait for harvest.
Good morning Mike... Happy Wednesday to you 😊 thank you for the great video... As always.. The Fendt combines are massive.. Hope you have better luck with them this year 🤞🤞🤞
I remember going on harvest in the late 90s thinking a 2388 Case IH and a JD 9600 with a 30ft. header were beasts!!😂😂😂
No auto steer...no GPS. That's when you had to have mad skills in the field.
I remember seeing a Fendt combine a few years back at the Regina farm show it was a mean looking machine that’s for sure! put a 40 foot Honeybee header on there and it will be bad ass lol
I would love to see the Fendt 10T, the Claas 8900, and the John Deere X9 all equipped with the same header running in a field at the same time. All 3 are absolute beasts!!
Wow! Exciting demos happening Mike. I can’t wait to see the Fendt, John Deere, and Class head to head. Case just needs a new 2 rotor combine yet lol.
The Caseih 9250 takes some beating .
They already do. It's yellow and says new Holland
The jd x9 has only 8 more square inches of total cleaning area than a case and 2239 less than the ideal
@@steveforrest6720 Yeah but because it's a dear Johnny there'll be a lot of hype around it ,can't wait to see it in action though, interesting times we live in hey?
Thanks mike for the great videos
Hi there, great video! I think that the sample tank will only empty if you flip the metal door up on the left side of it.
Nice looking machine.
A leaf blower is useful for blowing off chaff, straw and dust from the combine.
Awesome looking trax combine Mike
Everyone loves tracks!! But so happy u guyz r gettin the big class 10 combines!!💯👍
I'm pretty sure, I'm going to see you harvesting at night here in Australia....😁🤣
Can't wait to see the john deere x9
X9 looks like a best, looking forward to you demoing it!
Can’t believe how fast harvest is coming round, still getting over the excitement of watching the drills out in the fields
Haha me too! I am totally not ready for harvest!
many would see that taking on a totally new header/combine, especially from AGCO, as a massive risk. all the best! the previous colour must have done something seriously wrong!
Thanks Paul, that's my middle name! 😂..
You don't know how lucky you. Are doing what you like I l live in western ok all we can grow is heart aches
Fendt ideal 9's are soooooo last year Mike!!🤣😂 lol. Get those peas done!!👍👌🥳
Kind of exciting to see what's coming. I can see why you love what you do mike. You get to play with all the latest toys😀 thanks for sharing mike
Thanks Kory! I appreciate your support and interest in what I do 🙂
Excited for harvest
That 9T is a beautiful machine.
Monk Farmer what do u mean?
Killian Murphy technology is inside that beast. Monk is too thick to understand that stuff so he sticks to the scythe.
Btw the IDEAL10T is even more impressive.
On the Farm in Eastern Germany i work for runs five 9Ts and a 10T without any Issues. And in the last two days we had a Demo X 9 1100..and we have a lot of Problems with this Combine.Thats Live.....nothing is perfect..
As a Mike mention they had as well many issues with these t9, I think it common issue with all brand new models.
Wow Karl, you really exist.
I drove a front end loader with a joystick, Liked it
Yeah you see that quite often in the construction realms eh
Your videos are awesome. You always explain how everything works which is really cool. I watch your channel everyday before work if there's a video. Keep up the good work and I hope there is more big machines to come in later videos. And it would be cool to see a bigger header on the combine then 50ft maybe a 60 foot? Have a great day
Great video Mike. Very impressive machine. Looking forward to see if AGCO’s modifications resolve your issues from last year 🤞🏻
awesome! I hope your getting to try out the ideal 10 without the steereingwheel.
Appreciate ya showing the ideals 🙂
The longest unload auger should be 34.7' on the Ideal from the center of the machine, allowing maybe a 55' head? But if you run that 60' honeybee they originally started to build for Australia then one additional auger extension is definitely going to be required.
Would be pretty sweet to see an ideal 10t with the joystick steering on your farm!!!
omg yes that sounds awesome would love to see the claas 8900, ideal 10T and JD X9 compete against each other especially after JD blew there trumpet like a smug BMW driver about the new X series been better than any of the competitors but in the advert for the harvester the biggest selling point was it was easier to clean all the grain out aha and that the concave were lighter to make them easier to change but that is a bad point in my eyes cos it bakes them more likely to brake and ware quicker if the combine gets a stone or branch in it
You joked about the light bars last year and now it’s a thing😂
Not being biased, but if all those competitors show up, I’ll put my money on the Claas. They are making serious headway’s on the global market, esp in North America. Been running them since 2000...and will be running the new series 8700’s for this up and coming fall harvest.
I would like to try one
If it doesn’t set on fire before it get there 😂😂😂
Mikee Mike what does that mean?
I live next to insurance company rite off yard ! They have had class there for 5 years because of dispute ! All fire in same place ! Class use brakes wen u turn real tight !! Class will be kubota soon ! There bankrupt !!they owe the Nfu in the uk over 35 mil !
Mikee Mike been running claas since 2000. Bunch of Neighbours here run them too, never heard of or seen anything burn. And if you wanna talk about fires, who’s had more issues with that then John Deere? The first S680 and s690 were a disaster for em! And so were the quad tracks they first released.
I wish that i could travel over the pond and work for you as a farmhand... Just for the exerience to drive that kind of macinery and also see the scale of your farming! 👍😁
The difference would be the reliability of JD and then some
Me too👍
Nice bit of kit. Be interesting to see how JD compares with the Ideal 9.
I guess I’m a little late but the X9 1100 equipped with tracks is 64,500. The harvester I worked for had one and I went out to visit this summer.
Empty btw.
That's awesome! 🙂 I look forward to it!
ya know i love how deere goes and acts like the twin rotor design is a whole new thing they came up with but nh has had it forever and the ideal has them as well
Christian Gierach John Deere had the right idea with there CTS model, then they messed it all up after that. The X9 idea was based off claas in my opinion, nothing short of a copy cat, amd their capacity in there thrashing and cleaning , find it near impossible to clean that much grain and have next to nothing for losses, so they say
Why do you even care? Is your ego invested in who invented a piece of equipment? How about good equipment is just better for the farmer - who designed it is inconsequential, unless you think there's some kind of scoring system involved. In that case, no other manufacturer should be able to make self-cleaning, mold board plows as that's John Deere's original invention.
@@buckhorncortez why do I care? Because competition drives innovation and if one of the largest ag companies just copies other company. How are we supposed to get better higher tech equipment, if JD just keeps copying others and not a tally doing anything themselves. Back in the day they where innovative. And honestly I dont care that they offer a similar design i care that they act like they came up with it all on their own.
@@buckhorncortez so they shouldn't be able to make the X9, because that's exactly what they did was copy claas and CNH . And then they make sure u cant work on their machines. Seems like a great company.
John Deere is always behind technology and design wise.
I seen that one sitting in swift
Thanks
These Combines are Awesome. Please take a picture of these with heads on combines with 1050 Fendt in middle with a side view of tractor. That could be your Logo with Mitchell Farms on top of Picture. You could get decals made to put on your trucks & semis. Get a shirt made with these & i will buy one from you.
“It can’t be worse!!”

Can't waith to see Ashtyn driving one of this combines.
Can't wait for the combines to roll, hope you have time to make many vids and show us the how to and what fors of all the machines !!! Can't believe you'll barely be done spraying and be starting harvest , not time for a big break !! Does Ashtyn have a machine picked out ?? We've had some unusually cool days and nights here the last few days , makes you think of fall but a long ways off yet !!
great vid mike thanks...peace out
Hey why aren't you trying out the Claas combine. We owe 3 of them would be great to git your opinion on em
I saw a fendt ideal in Lloyd today, I wonder if it’s another one for you guys.
🤔 I don't think so, we have them all here now, but they have been selling quite a few machine to my knowledge
Mike Mitchell cool thanks for the reply.
Welkers are cutting peas, how close are you???
Cant wait to see the demo units!
Days away
Well the Welkers are in Shelby and Mike is basically all of south western Saskatchewan so something between 200-350 km depending on which field he's harvesting I guess
@@kloppanator I was asking how close he was to harvesting peas, not physical distance from Welkers.
@@paulpence8895 Ah, my bad
New toys getter done
New holland will run circles around ideals all day long. Those ideals spend more time on the highway going back and forth to the dealership than they do in the field. Working on those black combines must be painful too.
They sure did last year, it was painful! 😂
But I hope for different results this year due to the updates done. And I don't know about working on them, with Fendt warranty it's guaranteed in my yard for 5yrs.. I don't even change my air filters or concaves 😂 🤷♂️
cant wait to see the comparison to the x9!!
It is an X9 lol
Finally!! I've been spamming the videos from John Deere about you getting an X9!
😂 Thankyou good sir! It worked
Looking forward for specifically YOUR review of the X9!! A good honest non-colour biased opinion!! Keep up the awesome videos!
If you have a few combines in the feild together your quickly going to workout why they dont put lightbars on from factory
Al good having good lights unless you have 4 combines on the other side of the feild shining the same lights into your eyes
Few round here have tried it
Light bars on grain cart tractors that are hooked to their own switch work well though
Tracked Ideal vs tired Ideal?
Who's gonna pull which? I don't think i've seen this on entire youtube!
There is also a Fendt IDEAL 10T out now.
Will be cool to compare the jd x9 with the fends.
The best part of The " iDeal" fendt/ mf are the tracks and the tires.
Wish I had time to bring my 760tt over and show you how it's done
That would be awesome! Lol
Good luck Getting the John Deere it will put a lot of pressure on them to fix these awesome looking combines. Guessing your getting a 60 ft headers. Can’t wait to bad you don’t have a company edit and upload your videos.
Do you buy or lease your machinery?
Stephen Shackleton no Never new. Ie in couple years maybe buy. Big farm combines tend to have to many hours.
Have you heard of a Fendt Rogator sprayer ? They have front booms , the one I saw on RUclips I think was shown as being overseas . Congrats on your wedding !
Thanks, it's not available in North America
Well Mitchell looks like I got 7 orders of them John Deere 9X combines that u put an order in for😂😂
What is the def used for and why
Idk it's hard to beat our 2 big claas. Be interesting to see what you think about the updated ideals
Mike ya must like breakdowns at the bring in the bakein time off year .😀
Do you know if they did anything to address the chopper jamming issue for this year?
Yes they did... But we'll see haha
@@mikemitchell2554 I'm sure we will. If anyone can put it through it's paces it's you Mike.
cant wait
Was told by JD... X9 w duals, full fuel tank, empty hopper = just over 59,000 lbs
Please do a equipment tour 🙏🏻🙏🏻
have seen the massey ferguson (same company own both) version of this combine and know they are a big bit of kit
Can someone please explain why some combines have the rear tire treads on backwards (or so it seems to me)? Even the two combines in this video have the rear treads in different directions. Is there a reason for this?
We are harvesting 124,5 bushel an acre, of winter barley can you still do that with a 50 feet header?
Sure, you would just be going slower
@@mikemitchell2554 howmuch bushels do you harvest an acre?
😂 Depends on the year.. Last year we were in 50-60bu
The north would cut 110bu barely or 170bu oats
i just ordered the first 2021 gen 6 fendt in north america :)
Awesome buddy! I was quoting on that too 🤔🙂
@@mikemitchell2554 this will be my 5th fendt on the yard, we got out first one back in 2005, this one is a trade up from a 2013, 716 to a 2021, 716
That's awesome! 🙂 What area of the world are you in?
@@mikemitchell2554 I'm out in southeast manitoba, town of whitemouth we run a 100 cow dairy on 2500 acres, if they run any ag shows next winter you can bet my fendt will be there
Sweet deal! 🙂
Are these combines better than case and deere?
It can get Worse, there is Not Flames Shooting Out The Top! But, it sounds like that would have been a Blessing! Insurance Covers it and You get a New Machine without Trading a Lemon Off to Someone to Deal With. But if it Truly was That Bad, I Would Have Traded it Off! Then did a Nice LONG Video as to Why it is Gone, Sometimes it The Best Way To Get A Companies Attention!
9T a new addition or demo? Looking forward to all the colors out in the field.
Claas all the Way!
Can't wait for T10 an x9
TJ Lourens anyone picking a X9 (for that money!) over a Lexion 8900 has brand fever and isn’t thinking straight. Heck, even the 2019 Lexion 8900 blows it out of the park
JD is making up lost revenue from the rise of Fendt and Claas in NA with hiked up prices for stolen tech and the green brigade is too thick to understand.
We’ve traded our 4 JD combines for 3 Lexions 3 months ago and it’s probably the best decision I’ve made since I took over my pa’s farm 8 years ago. Green for as long as I can remember but I couldn’t justify the prices anymore. Hey, at least Claas is green also huh? Also I had my dad smiling on his first ride in our first Lexion. It wasn’t tracked either our 2 new 8900 are which are even smoother. Haven’t had a technical difficulty yet either but our Claas dealer has excellent service.
Thinking about upgrading my Case Quadrtracks to the new Xerion Quadtracks too, they look extremely sturdy and the price is good!
Martin Skevla I don’t think the 8900 or terra trac are available in North America yet.
Are 9240s have 710 with the big chunky rear tires. I have no idea what they are though
Very interesting Mike, very good video, full of information. I'm a new subscriber to your channel and would like to know how much acre you have, with all it's equipment.
Have you registered the combines as “Alien Aircraft” with all the lights😂🤣
It's still "pending" due to the alien economy being shut down by covid.
Bells & whistles, but does it work well?
X9 Deere is rumored to be a real beast. Looking forward to some real world evaluations on that from ya. Cause ya know, no color bias.
🙂
Yeah I saw it cutting across the road from us with fredrick harvesting in kansas, they had a 45 ft head and cutting at about 6 mph in thick wheat
The BEAST how do you like the custom harvesting?
Is the tracked unit not a 4 wheel drive and tired unit weight different because it isn't only going by steering tire direction
All track units have to have rwa or 4 wheel drive
That's what i meant Wouldn't that be some of the extra weight also over the other unit
the rear tires on the wheeled unit are backwards? or is it the camera?
Wow would love to see a comparison with the JD X combine vs the class and the half a dozen you have now . REALLY REALLY looking forward to that comparison since we have a JD 9770 and 9760 here in NJ and were looking to move onto a few newer ones. My sisters bf has pops convinced to go with a red one which im not all about but hey i dont mind trying new things altho on thr last farm i worked before returning home and yesrs ago pops had 2 red ones and all i can say is JD header hookups with jist 2 things is alot better than 4 or 5 like the red. Id like to see JD vs Claus class howeever its spelled ahhah and thr ideal 9s amd did i hear a ideal 10??? Definitely looking forward to that my friend. Cheers n good luck with the new updates hopefully you csn get something done in the fields and about the last few videos with the 3x something augers...cough cough can you say 60 footers? Hahah. 👍🤙
Thoughts about the new steering in the 10t?
Different....
You talking about the stick steer
@@DEDBRD-di4yj yes..
@@mikemitchell2554 does that make you a pilot instead of an operator? Lol, looking forward to what's coming up in harvest season. Thank you for sharing.
Mike,
I’m curious about any experience you’ve had with Versatile brand tractors. They make a 610 hp 4 track (Delta track) that may be an alternative to the Deere 9X.
Doc,
I hope Mike didn’t have a bad experience in the past with Versatile. Perhaps the local dealer is not as supportive as the ones the Mitchell farm does business with. Mike seems to like most of the electronic automation, and Versatile is known for it’s simplicity.
So what combines do you own
Any changes on that straw chopper that slides open?
Yes there was, I forgot to show that 🤦♂️
@@mikemitchell2554 You can show us when you're giving the "pros" of the machine and it never plugged the whole year!
Fendt needs some more time to work these out, try a Lexion.
Question. Is the 9T a demonstrator that has been used in wheat or some other early crop or was it a test mule from the prototype run from last year. It looks like it has had crop run thru it.
It's new
Mike I was on google earth and what town is your farm close to ?
