I actually discovered this by accident lol and it’s the best thing that has ever happened to my hair I was so shocked as to how moisturised when my hair dried the first time I applied my leave in on wet hair 😍😍
I do my hair while I’m mad because it actually calms me down. Something about the water on my scalps starts the calming process and then I’m calm by time it’s time to style. It’s my therapy lol
Left another video just for the thumbnail sis I don’t apply my leave in in the shower as I wash my hair in the sink. What I do instead is put a plastic cap on my leave in for about 5-10 minutes and that helps to absorb the leave in. Faye in the City put me on to that.
Sis the shower method with all that heat and steam, is just bae!!!!! Place a plastic cap on afterwards like our good sis curly crys, and it will up the benefits I swear!!!
I started the leave in in the shower tip .. I’ve been natural since I was 12 10yrs later and I’ve never seen my hair hold a style like this 😭 I love it here thank you !
You are the only hair RUclipsr who actually made me understand what to do with my natural hair, thank you for letting us know the most important things to take care of our hair
I've been applying a leave-in conditioner in the shower since October 2019 and I will NEVER I mean NEVER get out the shower without it! Put a cap over it and it's magic. My hair drinks that leave in up by the time I'm ready to style. If you don't do this, you're playing your hair!
The last step has upgraded my moisture game to a level I really cannot describe. My hair has never been as moisturized as it is now. Not even when I used to go to salons. The shower cap really does help with retaining moisture . I find that I use less product when applying in the shower but my hair is more moisturized.
Excellent points sis! I apply my leave in in the shower and it’s helping my hair tremendously! My hair is more moisturized and getting less frizzy. I dc every time I wash. Also purchased a shower filter to get rid of the hard water and that’s helping. I agree with you on the trim. I haven’t been trimming my hair and I had TONS of single strand knots which leads to tangles and that leads to frustration and breakage! Sis I’m so glad that I had the consultation with you. I’m falling in love with my natural hair all over again. Now each time I do my hair it’s getting better and better. Will DM you updated pics soon! Please keep educating us!!! We love you! 😘🤗
#6 is so true; however, I don't wash my hair in the shower because when I stand too long, my toes start to get numb. I wash it over the tub, apply the leave-in condition while I have the water on hot to create steam, then apply the leave-in, section, and put on the plastic shower cap. I thank you, Crystal, so much for these tips and tutorials because I too, have low porosity hair. Also, the hair I was born with was all gone due to chemo treatments over 20 years ago. 'Diana' is now my chemo hair and she is flourishing right now. It's been a month since I've made the changes since I've subscribed and watching your videos, and she is ACTING UP - in a good way. Thank you, again!
Yes!!! Leave-in conditioner in the shower🙌🏾👍🏾🙌🏾 My hair is transitioning and this step is fundamental to retaining moisture and preventing breakage. Thanks for sharing these great tips.
I haven't been applying in the shower but I do put a plastic cap on and get back under the dryer for 20mins and it has really changed my hair game thanks for the tips #CRYSGANG🤘
Yass sis. All 6 tips are the goat! 1-5 is something I've done several decades as an ole school natural. I did implement number 6 and hunty its a game changer. Especially since my hsir is now high po due to heat damage meds and surgical trauma and stress. But baybay when i tell you that adding protien and trimming as needed works..trust it works. I had to give my hair lots of small bites of protein weekly. But my dc was moisture overload.. to balance it. I did that for a few months. Now I do ayurveda treatments weekly and my hair is back. I had to cut ✂️ 12 or more inches and contine cutting monthly to get rid of damage. I went from tailbone to where your hair is now. And 2yrs later its almost waist length give or take a inch. Its stronger and im not losing baseball size amounts of hair. It at golf ball now and its not coming out as soon as water hits it. I've had long thick hair my entire life but i put it thru hell bcus back when I was young nobody knew how to really take care of hair. I dint know that I wasn't supposed to straighten it daily or on dirty hair or without grease. Lol yea my hair been thru it. When your young you can do all that crazy stuff and your body bounce back quickly. But as I went into 30s 40s I saw that what worked wasn't anymore. I had dense thick hair strands but now its dense but fine. It can't take much heat and it went from low po to high po. Crys is onto something yall heed her words!
So I appreciate your tips but what I appreciate that you continue to create content....it is hard to find people still doing hair content now. You have restored my desire to watch hair videos.... Thank sis
Fam. That leave-in right after rinsing deep conditioner is bomb!! I don't get to put it in while I'm in the shower but using it right after and using a plastic cap, girl frennn. Moisture fa days .
Everything you said was on point 👌🏽 And yes applying your leave-in while in the shower has to be apart of your wash day routine. I always put on a shower cap after I applied my l/in but applying while in the shower takes the softness and moisture to a whole new level.. I did it for my last wash day and it was definitely a game changer 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Thanks for all your tips❣
Beautiful hair sis and trimming hair is what helps her growth too💇🏽♀️and yes I have started putting leave in while in shower and it does help. I’ve been doing hair since I was 12 it’s my spa day I love doing my hair. Thanks for your videos.
Yesss for this stretched hair sis! Your hair is so thick and beautiful! Health over length every day! Leave ins literally changed my hair. Actually my entire wash day is done with warm water
Yes agreed! I know so many people who don’t listen to their hair. It took me years to figure out what worked and what didn’t work. People want results right away. It doesn’t work that way. Now I’ve managed to use the products I love and make my own.
Thanks, these are great tips. I deep condition every time I wash my hair, I apply the leave in the shower and trim every 6 months. The leave in in the shower really works. I have started a hair log to keep track of the products that I use. It has been very useful. My objective is healthy hair.
Thanks 4 sharing, always hear listen 2 ur hair but didn't really know what it meant ur explanation help. Yes healthy hair is the key. I shall use these tips 4 a game changer.
I deep condition with a steamer and it’s amaaaaaaazing, completely changed the moisture retention in my hair. My hair used to be so brittle for the longest time and products would just sit on top if it. Another RUclipsr posted a video about how she started using a steamer and it helped her hair a lot. I listened to her and she was right. Low porosity hair needs that heat and steam.
Your hair is beautiful. I agree. I started listening to my hair. And using products that my hair likes. I trim my hair when necessary. Yes!!!! Yes!!!! I deep condition with heat. I started using my leave-in while in the shower and saw many changes. It has been amazing. My hair loves it and it's very moisturized. Thank you for the tips. Love and Light.♥️♥️🙏
Yes yes yes!! All those tips are great especially the deep conditioner and leave in in the shower! They are gameee changers periodt!!! Also when doing wash & go’s do them in the shower! That has completely upgraded my wash and go’s to a new level!! But your hair looks so nice and healthy we love to see it!! 👏🏾👏🏾
I subscribed just for the intro! I feel like you are an original Ga peach🍑 you’re energy had me replay the intro. Looking forward to the rest of your content✨✨
Yea I will start to trim my hair when it needs it I usually do it every 3 months I mean it helped during my hair journey my hair is past my shoulders 😌😁I do everything else in the video love you girl‼️💜
Heyyy frenn thx for the tips. I do deep condition & leave in while in the shower. I sit under dryer for 15 mins I guess I need to do 30. Lol I trim when needed. My routine is every week. My hair has grown so much since my big chop 2 years ago. Thx for all that you have done for me & continue to do ❤️💜💛
Applying the leave in conditioner in shower was definitely a game changer in my hair moisture. Also I didn’t see the link for the trims can you post the link for that video? Thanks for sharing all your tips. They’re extremely helpful and practical. ❤️
I haven't tried applying my leave-in in the shower yet, but I use a steamer for my deep conditioner and immediately after I rinse the conditioner out I apply my leave-in and that works, but I'm still learning my hair and you gave some great tips ❤
When I first saw your video I said what the h_ll is going on😮(my face). I did a consultation with you and you recommend rotating my hair wash day and co wash. And I have started. And plan to do that. That co wash you recommend was the boom.
ALL these tips are that truth! But the one that resonated with me was “Not Getting Routine Trims”. I’m comfortable trimming my hair but a prefer a professional. But the way Rona is set up?! I’m not waiting for things to open up to trim my hair. No ma’am ❤️✨
Yes, wash day takes a long time, I don't do routine trim anymore because my hair gets shorter and shorter every time I trimmed my hair so I stopped that long a time ago.
Thanks for another informative video! Your hair looks cute curly and blown out so I can’t wait to see that video! I’ve learned one more tip from you... one that you tell us often... 🚫 Do not touch your hair without OIL on your hands! 🙅🏽♀️ it really does make a difference when I unbraid my hair! 👍🏽
All I gotta say is... If you are not applying that leave in the shower with all that heat and steam... then you must haven’t SMASHED THAT BUTTON DOWN BELOW!!!! Especially if you are low porosity!!! I experience so much length retention after trims, my hair shedding/ breakage has minimized during styling, and the natural density and volume of my hair has increased. Keeping the hair at its optimum state after deep conditioning, then sealing it in with your stylers... IS ESSENTIAL!!!!
Let me start my saying I’ve definitely been guilty of #3. So far I’ve been doing all the tips except the bonus one so I will definitely be testing that theory.
Super excited to try the leave in tip! \(^-^)/ Question: I do the LOC method, should I do the whole method in the shower or apply the oil and cream a few minutes after the leave in has soaked in? Thank you!!!!
I’m new in the natural hair family, and every time I think I got a product/routine down, my hair only says moisturized for 2 days. I do so much research but I’m just not hitting it. I would love to enter in your consultation, but I can figure out where to sign up?
Depends on which consultation thing you choose. The cheaper one i think she said she just looks at your hair and looks at your products. The next one she wants you apply the products or tell her what you do. Then the next one yall actually go thru the whole wash day process. You're going to wash, dc, style etc with her watching. So I think she prefers seeing your Natura hair
hey sis! you can most def book a consultation right now. book the 60 minute one but come with pictures and/or videos of your hair. We can then book the future sessions once you take your protective style out!
So I have a question. I recently cut my hair about two weeks ago, so I found that deep conditioning in the shower worked for me really well (letting the steam work on my hair), however should I deep condition outside of the shower? I’m just wondering because I want super healthy hair that’s why I cut my hair in the first place lol 😂 I think it’s important to note that I’m a college student so I’m in a routine that’s quick and simple bc I don’t wanna be showering for too long and hogging it from my roommates and all of that lol I hope that makes sense ☠️
Destiny... if dc in the shower works for you, KEEP DOING IT BOO! There's no harm in dc outside the shower. Me personally, my dry, thirsty attention seeking hair lol, likes dc under my hot head out of the shower. When I was dc in the shower, the steam/heat from the shower was just ok. Or coming out the shower and just putting a shower cap and then my turban twist to capture heat wasnt enough. Basically dont fix something that isn't broke. You can always try it to see which way works better or you prefer.
apply your deep conditioner in the shower but you have to let it penetrate in your hair for some time to receive all of the benefits. i recommend applying heat for 30-45min outside of the shower
Hello 👋 - I wanted to know what deep conditioners you could recommend that do not have protein in it. In the past and recently I have bought some and didn't know it contained protein.. My hair definitely can only handle it once a month…
I have started putting my leave in on in the shower after I rinse out my DC and since I wash my hair in section it’s easy to rinse and apply I then put my shower cap back on with the leave in on for 10 mins
i can help you by developing a natural hair routine to encourage growth. book a consultation by clicking the link in my bio. www.curliecrys.com/natural-hair-consultations
Applying that leave in the shower is life changing and your hair stays moisturized and i rarely have to add water
yess! speak on it sis!
Tell the children again lol!!
Yes applying the leave in in the shower is everything!!!! It changed the game for me
I actually discovered this by accident lol and it’s the best thing that has ever happened to my hair I was so shocked as to how moisturised when my hair dried the first time I applied my leave in on wet hair 😍😍
I do my hair while I’m mad because it actually calms me down. Something about the water on my scalps starts the calming process and then I’m calm by time it’s time to style. It’s my therapy lol
same here
at least you not taking the anger out on your hair lol!
CurlieCrys I’m crazy but not that crazy 🤣.
Add a glass of wine or a cocktail and Chile!!!! Lol
Masad Qawishabazz wine is a must! Lol
Left another video just for the thumbnail sis
I don’t apply my leave in in the shower as I wash my hair in the sink. What I do instead is put a plastic cap on my leave in for about 5-10 minutes and that helps to absorb the leave in. Faye in the City put me on to that.
yup! the plastic cap really helps! thats what i recommend doing after placing the leave in on.
Sis the shower method with all that heat and steam, is just bae!!!!! Place a plastic cap on afterwards like our good sis curly crys, and it will up the benefits I swear!!!
Monique I do this too. Got it fro Faye also. Works wonders.
I started the leave in in the shower tip .. I’ve been natural since I was 12 10yrs later and I’ve never seen my hair hold a style like this 😭 I love it here thank you !

The phrase "Keep it simple stupid" helped me stop buying unnecessary things
yup! i learned that phrase in 8th grade lol
I love that saying!!! I use it all the time now.
Or say “Keep It Simple Sis”
🥺 I have at the least 30 bottles of shampoo and conditioner and several oils and was just about to buy some more stuff 🤦🏽♀️ I need to stop!
Putting the leave in the shower after removing the deep conditioner is a game changer!!! My hair stays moistured longer during the week
Yes!!!!Yes!!!! It is. I started putting my leave-in while in the shower and my hair loves it.
yass sis!
All that pretty hair and great tips!
thank you my sis!

My hair has grown so much since my big chop 2 years ago. Thx for all that you have done for me & continue to do ❤️💜💛
youre welcome sis! im happy the tips have benefitted you!
Applying leave in conditioner in the shower does work with the moisture in my hair, and you use less product. Amazing!! Thanks for the tip.
Yes it does! im happy it helped you sis
Applying the leave in conditioner in shower was definitely a game changer in my hair moisture. Also I didn’t see the link for the trims can you post the link for that video? Thanks for sharing all your tips. They’re extremely helpful and practical. ❤️
i added it to the description box sis! thanks for watching!
I haven't tried applying my leave-in in the shower yet, but I use a steamer for my deep conditioner and immediately after I rinse the conditioner out I apply my leave-in and that works, but I'm still learning my hair and you gave some great tips ❤
yassss sis! its all about learning
The consistency ❤️

When I first saw your video I said what the h_ll is going on😮(my face). I did a consultation with you and you recommend rotating my hair wash day and co wash. And I have started. And plan to do that. That co wash you recommend was the boom.

ALL these tips are that truth! But the one that resonated with me was “Not Getting Routine Trims”. I’m comfortable trimming my hair but a prefer a professional. But the way Rona is set up?! I’m not waiting for things to open up to trim my hair. No ma’am ❤️✨

Health over length!!!! I speak health over my hair everyday!
yes!! couldnt agree more
CurlieCrys I am going to try that leave-in method. Tomorrow is my wash day, so what better way to try a new method.😊
Yes!! Leave~in in the shower = juicy hair 🙋🏾♀️
perfect equation if you ask me
Yes, wash day takes a long time, I don't do routine trim anymore because my hair gets shorter and shorter every time I trimmed my hair so I stopped that long a time ago.
Applying the leave in conditioner in the shower is THE TRUTH! I'll never go back
Yasssss hair!

Applying conditioner in the shower. Now I need a consultation so we can talk about this FRIZZ

Super excited to try the leave in tip! \(^-^)/ Question: I do the LOC method, should I do the whole method in the shower or apply the oil and cream a few minutes after the leave in has soaked in? Thank you!!!!
hey sis, i recommend putting your leave in on in the shower & doing the rest outside of the shower.
@@CurlieCrys I've done it for a couple weeks now and it has been great for my hair thank you so much for your tips and response

thank you sis!
I’m new in the natural hair family, and every time I think I got a product/routine down, my hair only says moisturized for 2 days. I do so much research but I’m just not hitting it. I would love to enter in your consultation, but I can figure out where to sign up?
hey sis! welcome to the family!! You can sign up right here www.curliecrys.com/natural-hair-consultations
CurlieCrys ok! I got your consultation info! Thanks!
Thank you

My hair actually became drier when I put my leave in the the shower. It's either because I did something wrong or my hair is just an outlier.
yeah most def something going on in your routine that your hair isnt agreeing with.
So if I’m protective styling right now am I able to still book a consultation or should I wait till you are able to view my hair ? Thanks!
CurlieCrys Are you already booked for the first week in September?
hey, i just opened up the september calendar and I do have availability for the first week! www.curliecrys.com/natural-hair-consultations
CurlieCrys are the consultations done through computer I don’t have a computer yet. Do you face time?
Nina Cardoza Thank you!! ❤️
@@destinys32 you're welcome
apply your deep conditioner in the shower but you have to let it penetrate in your hair for some time to receive all of the benefits. i recommend applying heat for 30-45min outside of the shower
Hello 👋 - I wanted to know what deep conditioners you could recommend that do not have protein in it. In the past and recently I have bought some and didn't know it contained protein.. My hair definitely can only handle it once a month…
Camille Rose algae is life!! All NaturAll’s avocado is really good too!
@@chanteadams4826 Thank you so much for responding!! I will try it!! 💕💕

I have started putting my leave in on in the shower after I rinse out my DC and since I wash my hair in section it’s easy to rinse and apply I then put my shower cap back on with the leave in on for 10 mins
