- The East Broad Top Railroad of Pennsylvania is arguably the most authentic preserved steam railroad in the US.
In 1956 the railroad closed unexpectedly, with the entire railroad was simply left as it was. Instead of scrap, the new owners the Kovalchick family opted to preserve the railroad. The railroad was revived in 1960 for events, and was brought back in full in the years following to a regularly operating tourist railroad. The EBT would operate for the next 50 years with a variety of original locomotives and passenger equipment, but in 2011 the railroad shut down once again. It would be silent for the next decade.
In 2020, the railroad was purchased by the newly formed East Broad Top Foundation, which began rehabilitating the line and equipment. Old locomotives would return with new built passenger cars. In 2023, East Broad Top 2-8-2 16 returned to steam for the first time since revenue steam days, and the sounds of the steam whistles returned to the Aughwick Valley.
Dynamo Productions hosted a day long photo charter in November 2023 for a group of railfans, photographers, and cinematographers on the East Broad Top. The famed 3-foot gauge line in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania makes for the perfect setting for such an event. With the original EBT engine, rolling stock, buildings, and right-of-way, the EBT is as close to a time machine as one will find. We thank our attendees, actors, event staff, and the East Broad Top for making the event happen.
Be sure to like, share, comment and subscribe while you enjoy the sights and sounds of steam "in 1955" on the East Broad Top.

The cinematography is off the charts in this one. Some of y’all’s best work.
Thank you. We are always aiming to raise the bar for ourselves and improve in every way possible. We are glad it shows.
@@DynamoProductions-trainsI have to agree. You guys do an amazing job. Your audio quality is also top notch.
@@DynamoProductions-trains I agree too! It's Just Awesome! I you don't mind me asking, What kind of Tripod do you all use?
@@jacksonsdrones We each use different sets of tripod legs and tripod head units. We have a channel on railfan cinematography, and there is a video on tripods. ruclips.net/video/YZSjfvINLuo/видео.html
