Peanut sauce? Yes, please! (Also, I made the chickpea salad last week. My hard-to-impress-if-it's-meatless husband couldn't stop raving. He even asked for the recipe so he could share it with colleagues.)You KNOW you've done something right when a dish becomes a water cooler topic!)
@burntherest9118 Well, as Larisha wrote in their newsletter this week, every little change matters. The midwest/Viking genes run strong in the guy, so I take every win!
Thank you for this recipe. My daughter is vegan and recently diagnosed with advanced colon cancer at 34. She has no appetite and she was always the primary one preparing great vegan dishes. I hope I can tempt her with this one! I appreciate you beyond words.
What a dear mother you are to search for vegan recipes your daughter may want to eat. The medical team or your daughter may offer some suggestions, too. These are stressful times. Prayers are being sent for your entire family.🙏
thank you for sharing, Carol! ❤️ you're so amazing! i really hope something i share helps. 🙏🏾 sending you both HUGE air hugs 🤗 and wishing you all the best!
Your video's are so well produced! 💜 This Thai tubu recipe looks delicious and there's a Korean version of this, too, that I make sometimes. Also, for those folks who are oil free, marinating the tubu and then covering it in corn or potato starch, works as well and then air fry. I also believe in good... ✝️🙏🏾
Our peppers and tomatoes are thriving this year. (The tomato bushes are close to 6 feet. In June!) And my husband put in corn, which so far is also doing great. He's quite enamored with his corn.)
I’ve got tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, cayenne peppers, gypsy peppers, jalapeños, butternut squash, zucchini, yellow crookneck squash, Japanese eggplant, and some herbs. Everything is thriving except my zucchini; I never seem to have luck with it. Believe it or not, all of the vegetable plants I listed above are grown in containers on my deck. I’ve also got perennial flowers and shrubs to attract honeybees that, in turn, will pollinate my vegetables. You can have a productive container garden in a small space, as long as you are organized and plan well. I’m still working on both of those skills…
I love the talk afterwards it's so very helpful. The norm is to quickly show the dumping of ingredients and the eating what magically came together saying "Yum." Thank you for being you.
Might eventually be able to put this in "rotation" but with all of your amazing content there are just not enough days in the month to get it all in!!!!
i am not vegan or vegetarian, but i am about to have a roommate that is in august. your channel is very helpful in having dinners that i can learn to make for them and both of us, so thank you! 😊
Definitely trying this. Love your ASMR. And your hair. Don't do much of anything early Sunday mornings except drink tea and wait for your videos to drop.
I learned something new today ! I've been frying tofu in a cast iron frying pan. It does get crispy and brown on the outside. But, coating it with cornstarch, as you have done, would probably elevate it to 'restaurant quality' and get a lot crispier on the outside. I do a tofu dish with stir-fried veggies, the fried tofu, Asian noodles (or even a brick of the ramen-type of noodles) and then a homemade peanut sauce. Sometimes, I use Sunbutter (sunflower seed butter made here in Fargo, North Dakota) instead of peanut butter, and that is tasty, as well.
i rotate between different oils. like tea tree, jojoba, castor, etc. 2 - 3 times a week, also try to mist it once a day. usually rose water or hibiscus water. maybe i can share in an ig story of something 🤗
Butter lettuce! I hardly even know 'er lettuce 😏. No but seriously. Your videos have me going back and rewinding to see if I can catch the exact moment you hide the tiny whisk. Brilliant!
AWESOME!!! I been looking for variations on peanut sauce! Its my fave over pasta w/stir fry veggies...and btw..congrats on the coils, welcome to the fold, ur locs are gonna be killah!!
I’m new to your recipes and like them very much. However, it’s your vibe I absolutely LOVE. Your patient. Your delivery is not rushed. Easy to follow. I look forward to watching many more in the future. Thank you. 😊
My goodness! This looks AWESOME! But I have a question. Not to offend you, just for my interest: Why do you use Coco aminos when you take Tofu? In Germany these aminos are way more expensive than normal soy sauce and we only use it, when we want to prevent using products with soy...
thanks for asking! coconut amino isnt expense here. at least not where i buy it. also i talk often in my vids about substitutions. i find i like to practice use the items i recommend when i can.
😅😅 totally agree with your concept of " where has this meal been all my life?" I find something I absolutely love and forget all my other recipes 😅 I think this is gonna be one of those. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Greetings, thank you for all the delicious healthy alternative dishes. Now I'm sure you might have mentioned in one of your episodes alternatives for peanut sauce in recipes because of allergies? Suggestions appreciated.
You are Wonderful, I just started yesterday watching your videos and your recipes are very healthy and delicious, the music in your videos is very interesting. God Blessed you.❤
i literally just watched this video, had most of the ingredients and made it, it's so yummy! cleanup is easy, flavor is delish, we ate it with white rice and lettuce wrap! :D
I love your video's! When I can get everything I need I'm going to make some of your meals. Thank you for sharing your recipes and being here! GOD bless you and your beautiful family in JESUS' holy name.🙏🏽❤️🌟 I like peanut sauce on pasta too.
Goodmorning 😊I know I've said this before but another good recipe 😋 glad you did something with tofu I love peanut butter eat it most every day 😊see you next Sunday 🎉😊😊
I’m an omnivore and I made this with chicken. It was out of this world! I did have to substitute a few ingredients as I don’t have coconut amino, carrots, sriracha, or sesame oil. I used leftover wonton sauce, and I forgot to buy carrots so chopped bell peppers that gave it an extra crunch. I had hot sauce packets from last weeks Chinese food.
Definitely will be in rotation in my house. I’ve got tofu and baby gem lettuce in my fridge, along with all the spices and sauces, so this will be the main even for dinner.
Omg!!! I'm so glad I came across your channel! I'm just starting my plant based journey & I've been looking for tofu recipes, yours looks easy and YUMMY! Definitely will be trying! 😊
I'm 79 years old and never thought I'd look at, never mind eat, tofu but this recipe caught my eye. In short, I prepared it and, wow, it's really delicious. Stashed it in my library of "definitely do again" meals. Keep up the great work. Us old folks really enjoy them.
I’m vegan for 3 years now and never had a thang for Tofu. Till now! It’s really good, quick and simple. Thank you brother, you’re a great chef. All our love and respect for you and your family from Germany.
American Italian grandmas call those oven mitt hands "asbestos hands" LOL. I swear I have known some moms and grandmas that could almost take a fried egg out of the oil with their hands. I have baby hands and I am self declared baby with heat on my hands. These lettuce wraps look so delish and I appreciate you helping with swaps. I hate food waste or spending extra moolah on food if I don't need to, so being able to swap what is on hand is key.

Your voice is so comforting and lovely. Definitely going to make this, with some of the modifications you suggested! Thank you for sharing with us.
🤗 thank you so much! hope you enjoy!
tip you can use nooch instead of cornstarch and it gets a similar crispy effect and adds a nice savory flavor!
😮💨 thats a good tip!! 🙌🏾
Quick reminder to start your garden if you haven’t! 🪴 What you gonna be growing this year?
Our peppers and tomatoes are thriving this year. (The tomato bushes are close to 6 feet. In June!) And my husband put in corn, which so far is also doing great. He's quite enamored with his corn.)
One day I hope to have a little home, being it's just me, so I can have my own garden. In the past I've tended to gardens.🙏🏽

Thank you for the way you’re giving us tips for variations! Hope this comment boosts the algorithm a little!
I've done sriracha/honey in equal amounts over tofu and stir fry veggies and really liked it, I'll expand that to include PB next time!

If you mince or grate garlic does the flavor change. Sometimes ppl grate rather then mince it.
good question! no it doesnt change. it just a preference for some. i go back and forth pending whats convenient at the time.
Love the recipes, but soy and aminos cause my blood pressure to elevate. Any suggestions?
