@@CasaDeLaRaza I have a question for ya chief. I just received the angle disconnect tool set. Will this plug the fuel line once it's disconnected or do I need to find something else to plug that fuel line?
Working on this now. Im using one of those Combination Ratcheting Wrench which fits ok will pick up that angled closed quarter one today. Thanks for the video!
It was tough but I got it done and now the car pushes past 80mph. I used to floor it and I couldn't get past 80. If you keep track of your bolts, you should be fine.
I did it yesterday and it was possible to take the fuel injectors out without taking the manifold out, and even I did not take the throttle body out. I had to lift the car up with a jack stand. This helped me so much through out the process. Thank you so much for making this video. It encouraged me and gave an idea of how to do it. I tried without taking the manifold out and I could. With other tools not present in the video like a long 10mm socket and some extensions and I with a average ratchet too. May you have a great day brother! 🙏🏼
I did the same, cylinder 3 misfire. I disconnected the evap hoses, moved coolant tank forward, unhooked the coil harness, removed the rear cam control and then the 90* plate, only had to break the plastic tab on the wiring that goes with the coil wiring and down to the 02 sensor up front. Drop the 3 bolt plate that holds the driver side harness below the air snorkel then carefully feel for the 4 bolts blind at the back, once my combination of 10mm flex joints and 1/4 extensions, plus a slightly different finger ratchet, then I pulled out the coil harness, made things so much easier. Once the rail popped out slid it out of the drivers side of the motor past the brake fluid container and replaced the injector, then put a bit of oil on each lower injector seal and slid it back in. Was lucky enough to be able to back each of the 4 bolts out by hand and get them all started back in by hand as well. Also found the small coolant line from the side of the reservoir to be leaking down by the coolant neck once the air snorkel was removed, so removed the factory fast clip and replaced with work gear clamp. Took 4 hours including a trip to harbor freight for a set of cheap fuel line disconnects. Car is back on road and running great! Thanks for trying it without removing intake manifold!!! Huge inspiration to me!

I can not for the life of me get the entire thing to come out like you did. Something is keeping it in there. It’s completely unbolted and unhooked from everything I can find but I can’t get it to come out. What do I do?
@@CasaDeLaRazaThanks for the video it is amazing, however, I do have a few questions that I would like to ask you. Oh yeah I hope you have a Happy New Year!
@@CasaDeLaRaza Hey Chief, I'm replacing the intake manifold gasket and wanted to know If a small 1/4" ratchet would be small enough to remove the bottom bolts of the intake manifold?
@@Hammer6306 it’s going to be too big. You need the specialty tool I showed because I tried with a craftsman 1/4 wrench and it was a no go in the super tight space unfortunately. :(
The access is best underneath, It's way below intake manifold on the back wall of engine block and just above the joint with sump. There is ainlet manifold upright bracket fixed to the block by the oil switch
Use a floor Jack on the oil pan with a 2x4 between them next time to get pressure off the top motor mounts. Loosen the top motor mounts and tilt the engine forward next time to get easier access to get the bolts off the manifold.
@@CasaDeLaRaza Exactly what happened to me, it feels as if my hands are burnt. What a horrible design, I was trying to replace the rear coolant hose behind the intake manifold, luckily I finished the same day.

There's also a rubber coolant hose in the back of the engine you have to bend a little to get out one of the bolts. best of luck!

Amazing video! Do you think it is possible just to take the fuel injectors with the rail out without the need to get the manifold out?
Not possible because the fuel injectors are bolted to the manifold. You have to pull out the whole thing :(

Is the ticking sound normal for this vehicle? I figured the injectors would make the tick go away.
i have some ticking i deal with on a regular basis

There’s still a bolt probably on there. If it won’t come off wiggle the plastic but if it’s stiff a bolt is still in there.
Where did you get the diagram picture? Do you have a repair manual?
I found it on Google. I don’t have a repair manual. Had to piece things together myself. Car is still running just great.

Could you please tell me the exact location of low oil pressure switch in Chevrolet beat/spark ?

That's fantastic.

It's pretty rough. I have semi big hands and it was not fun getting all scratched up. That's why it took me like 2-3 days

With a vehicle lift I had this job done in about 1.5 hours.
Then maybe people should pay you to do it :)
At least show how you took it off from the car......
