I wish that Kane would retire so that we don't ever have to hear his name mentioned with the Sabres ever again. He's a punk, always been a punk. If Vancouver lefts Joshua get away they are nuts, love to see him in blue and gold.

The free agency market rarely has value in it, but these lists were "VERY overly optimistic". In the sense that, the Sabres will not be competing for a Stanley Cup next year no matter who is added to the team via FA or via trades. You need players with TREAD left on their tires. You can't bring in someone like Kane and expect them to help. Or Stamkos, Duclair, etc. You need guys that have at least THREE years of their CURRENT level of play left.
There are simply TOO MANY young players on the team that are NOT ready...YET. Dahlin might be ready, but Power isn't. Cozens isn't. BOTH of your goalies aren't. They still need time. That's just a fact. You have other issues too, like an aging Skinner and other players who have to show they can play 82 games AND then run the GAUNTLET of FOUR rounds of playoff hockey and NOT get HURT (Thompson, Samuelsson, etc).
I would rather see a top 10 trade acquisition list with some players who aren't 34 years old. Adams has to make some trades to get what this team REALLY NEEDS. I think there was ONE player from Duffers and Marty's lists I liked. Guentzel, who will cost a fortune and not be worth it. Martinook, who had a nice playoff run. The rest are all old bald tires who will be in a junk yard by the time the Sabres are ready to make SERIOUS runs.

Forget all the free agents, you’ll pay too much to get them to Buffalo. Give up whatever you have to and go get Brady Tkachuk. Give up the prospects that are going to take 3-4 years to see the show and go get a gritty hard nose playoff built player!
Also no more “locker room guys” for Pete’s sake

Duff has no freaking idea what he's talking about. Stamkos is never leaving TB for Buffalo! Guentzel isn't coming to Buffalo! The other possible choices are reasonable : Stephenson, Trenin, Joshua and Carrier.

Brutal but honest part about signings and free agents - you can want the player, but the player doesn't always want the team. Unfortunately, Buffalo isn't very desirable at the moment. Other than journeymen trying to keep a paycheck, there's not much to love about coming here.

Lets hope Adams sticks to his word and brings in some VETERANS with some abrasiveness. Sabres need a 3rd line centre and 1 or 2 wingers ( Kullich Rosen Savoie in Buffalo in Oct ??). UFA wise id be interested in Dakota Joshua Van, Ryan Lomberg FLA , Trenin Colorado, or Jake Debrusk Bos.
Question is does Adams will trade Buffalos first round pick 11th overall?
D wise i think Adams resigns Jokiharju and lets Clague and Bryson walk and Ryan Johnson becomes a full time Sabres in October. IMO id move on from Jokiharju and try and bring in a stay at home D man like Pesce , Tanev or Josh Brown Arizona all UFA & right shooting D man who would partner Owen Power. Id then put Samuelsson with Clifton on the third pair and have Ryan Johnson as the 7th D .
    Thanks for the video!

Is the Sabres organization capable of producing a successful playoff competitive team? Many hockey people think it's in dire need of a complete overhaul from top to bottom, similar to what the Bills did when they hit the jackpot by hiring talented, intelligent coaches and g.m.. Are the Sabres a serious N.H.L. organization capable of constructing a first rate competitive roster at this point is the question.
