Your friend is hilarious! I lived in Richmond late 80s early 90s and often shopped at a Junior League thrift store there. I love that oversized sweater you found!
Richmond is so cool, I want to spend more time there! I'll have to see if that Jr League thrift store is around, those Auxiliary type of thrifts can be absolute GEMS!

That vintage lavender dress is soooo good on you! Your friend Terry is a hoot! I'm currently going through the vintage clothing collection of a 94 year old woman who was a hoarder. It's sooooo crazy what she has stored away all these years!

Aw really, no hats at your thrift store? That's too bad, they definitely can be an amazing accessory, I feel extra stylish just throwing one on. I have found some on Poshmark and I actually love the ones from Target if you prefer to try on first (hats are tricky to guess how they'll fit 😅)

Oh, I love y'all's humor! I want to go thrifting with you guys. The lavender button down looks amazing on you! It's incredibly flattering, loose or tied or tucked. I really like the "bougie" silk bomber too. Great finds!

Awesome video! My favorites are the Karen Scott cardigan and the gold and black dress (with the hat!). You had me laughing at the clown drawing and the sequin skater outfit... epic!! I have yet to get to the bins, but would love to go. Just been thru a lot with my FIL passing... so... lots to catch up and so much to go thru. Thanks for sharing.

These were really good that day! My favorite bins were the ones in Charlotte. My biggest tip would be to be able to take some time at the bins, things can change every minute/hour as they bring out new bins, you never know! 😉💓
So many cool things! I love that black and gold dress it looks fantastic on you! I think your friend was hilarious trying to get you to buy that costume, you should have gotten it! 😆 just to have in the back of your closet for and emergency. Haha also she scored in the hats for sure!
First dress was so gorgeous! Yes the lunch ladies wore this snap vests. Yellow and black looks great. I have a problem of saving true vintage clothes no of them fit me. Also clothes my Mom saved and made in 60s
The "lunch lady chic" top was more probably the "jacket" a housewife would put on over her dress (because we all do housework in our dresses like our mothers/grandmothers!) when hanging up laundry on the line outside - the pockets are for clothes pins!

@@NikkiTerryStyle I always get super jealous when I watch thrifting videos about the bins because ones near me put out very little clothing. Mostly just home decor and toys ☹️

There are no bins where I live 😥.
I'm in Canada and had never heard of "the bins" until I started watching thrifting videos on RUclips.
Do you have kilo shops or anything where they sell by the weight? 🤔 just curious!
@@NikkiTerryStyle no we don't have bulk or sale by weight shops and our thrift store chains tend to price things quite high. We have Value Village (part of the Savers company) as the main thrift chain here. They price really high. Dresses are $14-$22. Blouses are $8-$12 & jeans/slacks are $9-$14.
Oh interesting, ok. Yeah Value Village/Savers/Unique stores are among the highest pricing. And they resell their unsold textiles (I believe) to other businesses or donate them to foreign nonprofits... so anyway they don't end up with the outlet situation that Goodwill does.
