Btw, if you need to respawn them for whatever reason, go back to Jubilife and come back. they'll be back. (They also respawn after about 15min being not near the spawn location - get it? Time and Space? lol)
I like the lore implication with many of the lord pokemon being that the area near their arena is where their nest is and that you’re catching their descendants.
Ah, but that's not the case for Arcanine, which suggests that all Lord Pokemon are descended of a single unbroken line, and have no immortality whatsoever.
That was me when Electabuzz first got its evolution to Electivire. Now Electivire is one of my favorite Pokémon. Sinnoh has a knack for that and it transcended the ages.
Just a heads up as someone with 55 hours on this game: you can catch higher level alpha pokemon regardless of star level as long as you have the heavy, leaden, or gigaton balls. All you need to do is feed them a berry (Razz if possible), and sneak behind them and throw a heavy ball with a backstrike. I caught Stantler as a 2 star with this method and plenty of other alphas. Helps get strong pokemon early!
Can those strong pokemon obey you though if you only have 2 stars I know with one star it's pokemon up to lvl 20 or was it talking about traded pokemon?
@@silverlinegaming3933 they can disobey. But, the benefit is you get a ton of XP since their level is significantly higher and it helps you complete registration for your dex since some ask for alpha & heavy. Also, I’ve found that they don’t disobey too much.
you can also reset battles with them, caught a lvl 44 Alpha Luxio in the Obsidian Fieldlands when I only had one star by battling it and spamming pokeballs
Would like to add if you crouch while hiding behind trees, that counts as cover. Just remember that the trees are thin so if you really want to, you can walk around the tree as the pokemon moves so it cannot see you. Even if your body model is WAY wider than a skinny tree, it still counts. I swear it is like a scene from looney toons
One thing to mention about evolving Stantler; you do not gain mastery of the move until level 31 or 32. You also cannot master it in the village with a seed of mastery. Or at least I couldn't at the time.
I went on to get an alpha scyther (and evolve it to kleavor) when it was far above my team’s levels. Barely survived enough to catch it and it won’t even listen to me its so strong. Thank you so much for this video!
I got a alpha scyther in its low 40s when the rest of my team was level 28-34ish and evolved it into a kleavor, it’s so massive and cool lol, I can finally use him in battle now since I just recently got my 4th research star
I think it's is amazing that Austin is still going through the comments and interacts with his viewers. Aside from his incredible content it makes him even more likable than he already is.
Man with all your videos your doing on PLA makes me want to play it even more...cant wait for my copy to come...getting super excited. Thank you for taking all this time to put together epic videos for us.
The more I learn about this game, the more I love it. A Pokémon not just needing a certain move, but to also have to use it a certain amount of time in a specific style in order to evolve is just *chef's kiss* But also smaller things like, not being able to use an item on a Pokémon that's out of the Pokéball.
@@learningtoadult3450 He just mentioned it in the video. Stantler can evolve after you used a certain move (forgot the name, some psychic bash) in agile style for I think 20 times. Edit: I'm now far enough into the game to confirm that some Pokémon have these requirements for evolutions, and I love it.
I got alpha Scyther last night. I think I have a good strategy for catching Alpha Pokémon now. I also found a secret area and caught an alpha Heracross. As far as I’ve seen; you can catch high level alphas, you just won’t be able to use them since they won’t obey you if your star rank is too low.
@@KP-uz3nk It’s pretty simple. You have to catch them unawares (back strike with your Pokémon when they haven’t seen you). You start with your Pokémon that can weaken it the most. Use your free turn(s) to weaken the alpha. When it KO’s your Pokémon you send in a Pokémon that can use status conditions and use your guaranteed turn to inflict that. Then you use every turn tossing pokeballs until you either catch the alpha, or you’re down to your last Pokémon. At that point; run away or reset if you saved beforehand. This has worked for me a lot against higher leveled alphas but it’s likely to fail if the alphas have a recoil move or if you fail to back-strike them.
Honestly I was so proud of catching my alpha scyther before kleavor. I was only at 2 or 3 stars so they didn't listen to my instructions all the time, but my gosh was it amazing to have a lvl 40 power house when everything else is lvl 20 or lower. I even managed to sneak up on him by using the trees as cover, then I distracted them with a berry and managed to get them with a heavy ball.
Unfortunately, even though Stantler learns Psyshield Bash at Lv 21, you can't Master that move until Lv 31. So Lv 31 is the earliest you can evolve Stantler into Wyrdeer
BRO YOU HAVE COME SUCH A LONG WAY BRO, I remember when you where a small channel look at you now ! Congratulations man and thanks for all the updates !
Just a little note about Pokemon sizes: It seems like the Pokedex entry tells you their potential size. If you want to see your specific Pokemon’s actual size it’s in their summary pages. Kleavor only having one specific size listed in its Dex page probably means there’s no variance to it, though. That would mean having an alpha one isn’t making it bigger.
I remember when you were so much smaller as a RUclipsr and you’re so close to two million now but you’re still teaching us how to do things in Pokémon, thanks lol
I think fighting Kleavor is not a requirement for the item. I had gotten one before and I remember thinking about it like 'hey I can get Kleavor before Kleavor'.
Idk if someone already told you that, and I know this video is kinda old already, but those tasks asking "use a move X times" are mostly easy to finish in one go, without the need to constantly go back to the camp to rest, because of how PP work on this game. As we can change the moves the pkm knows on the go, PP is now related to the slot of the move and, borrowed going back to camp or refreshing its PP, you are going to have the minimum PP value between the amount of PP of a slot, and the max PP of the moves you are removing/adding. This means you can, lets say, teach Stantler 4 moves with at least 10 PP each (one of them being Psyshield Bash), then use all PP only from that move, and going into the menu to exchange Psyshield Bash with any other move, making this new move the one owning the current zero PP'd slot. After confirming that, you can go back to the menu, teach Stantler Psyshield Bash back, this time putting it over one of the other slots you know have at least 10 PP and, boom: you have yourself a virtually 40 PP move out of a 10 PP one ;)
Just a small tip but when you are in a battle you don't have to go to your bag to access a pokeball. Just hit x to switch to them in your hot bar and hit ZR. Great videos man, keep up the awesome work! 👍
I start every alpha fight with a backstrike. Makes heavy balls more effective and also gives you a couple of free turns. Usually get them on the first ball and take no damage.
