I know this is unrelated to the video, but just found this out recently and thought I'd let others know for saving a lot of time for sorting all of their pokemon. A very fast way to organise pokemon is to use the + button for finding the box you want to move them to after selecting them as a group (instead of L and R). If you don't do this, it's a serious pain trying to organise since the group you selected has to be in the exact same shape (3 along and 2 up for example) as the new space in order to move them. However if you press + after selecting 12 pokemon for example, as long as there are 12 or more spaces available in the new box, they will automatically be placed in the gaps (regardless of position) so you don't need to move them a few at a time. This has saved me a tonne of time and now my pokemon are all neatly and easily separated into boxes of normal, Space-time exclusive, alpha, and shiny pokemon so it's much easier to find the pokemon I want. Hope this helps some people...and also hope there's a future QoL patch to make sorting pokemon easier.

Finally caught the shiny alpha Gallade after like 3 days of resetting. Thank you for showing me the rising Braviary trick that definitely helped a lot for this hunt
So do you have to reset the game if you enter from up top of the temple and there’s no shiny? Or can you just walk out and back in? He said if you go in through the bottom it’ll permanently generate the Pokémon but does that apply from up top?
Can confirm cylinder theory for the shiny notification. Was flying around the Alabaster Icelands and had a full odds shiny Misdreavus spawn in the ice caves below and heard the noise. Took me a good chunk of time to find it afterwards because it wasn't near one of the entrances...
I got insane luck with a Johto Alpha Sneasel during a Space-Time Distortion. It was the most exciting and anxiety-filled moment of my playthrough so far because it was my second distortion and I had no idea what I was doing. 😂
Yesterday I found two shiny Pokémon at the same time!!! I was on my way to an Eevee outbreak, I found two shiny Bidoof, and one was ALPHA!!! My second Alpha Shiny
I had something similar, was on my way to a Chansey outbreak just to get some XP, one of the 4 Chansey in overworld was shiny, there was an alpha togepi within few meters, but then decided to break a rock and got an shiny Graveler. couldn't believe my luck!
Same here but with shinx right next to each other! I was shiny hunting that Luxio in Obsidian. I have a perfect research for Shinx! No shiny charm! None were an alpha though :(
I found my first alpha shiny today, I was heading towards Eevee outbreak then I heard the glorious sound... Alpha Shiny Bidoof. There's only one possible name for him. It's crazy you don't have a alpha shiny yet!
I’ve found 1 shiny alpha. It was a zorua during an outbreak, just pure luck. The 1 and only shiny zorua I got! I was actually watching one of your videos when I found it! (Uploaded a quick video of it and other shinies on my channel if anyones interested in seeing it)
I got a shiny alpha Vespiquen and... A Bibarel. Yay. I got three regular shiny Zorua from mass outbreaks, though. Evolved two of them: the biggest and smallest Zoroarks registered in the dex so far.

Totally lucked out and found my first ever shiny alpha (electivire) last night! I thought it was an error at first since the color is only slightly different
for people having trouble with the buttons, i found its easy to do it this way. plus to call out braviary, and then Y, plus, A, repeat. just over and over Y plus A. its a little tricky to keep up the rhythm but it was the easiest way for me, so i thought id share it.

11:58 Just a heads up, it's definitely NOT infinite. I'm not sure if it's a sphere, but it's not infinite and you CAN fly directly over top of a shiny and physically see it in the world without the sparkle/sound ever going off. Just tested it out myself. Great video though!
you can also do this if a mass mass outbreak overlaps a alpha, so if you finish the MMO there for example the gardevior in the icelands you can save after the MO disappears and relogging the game will make the alpha reapear with completely different shiny luck and stats and everything
I've actually tested the spawn radius with fly overs, you ABSOLUTEY can be too high off the ground to trigger the sparkle\sound... Even if you're able to visually see the Shiny on the ground. I found a random Shiny Eevee while flying over Icelands. Reloaded my save, and flew over the same spot again at different heights and was able SEE the shiny Eevee clearly, but only after I descended a bit did it sparkle\sound.
13:37 thats happened to me before but it was on the ground so it was easier to see the problem. Bravirary is tilted if you look their position is off so I think it messed with the path finding tool or whatever they use.
I found a random shiny alpha in Cobalt coastlands, It was a Toxicroak and it scared the crap out of me when I heard it sparkle cause for a second I thought it might have been the alpha Empoleon
I believe its the cylinder thing you explained for the sound radius, because I've had about 2-3 times where I was either underground or overworld and heard a shiny pokemon above/below me! This also includes having the holes entrance not immediately close to me as well.
That Braviary from atop Snowpoint Temple is now a great method to farm Braviary for the dex entry since he respawns like every not-even 5 minutes, and is also just a great way to farm experience. Do the other various airborne Pokemon respawn that quickly? I've never noticed it with the others, but then again Snowpoint Temple is less out-of-the-way than the other spawn-points; like you're eventually going to get there whereas the others are in fairly unimportant areas, maybe it's more noticeable here because you'll have to keep going back for whatever reason (I personally used the top of the temple as a starting point to glide over the whole region to look for wisps).
@@xdC33 I caught like 3 Braviary in that exact spot above Snowpoint Temple in at most 5 minutes. I really do think that Braviary spawn is a little quick to respawn.
Hey Austin was wondering can you do a tutorial on how to catch Pokémon while they’re flying it’s so hard for me idk why! Loved this vid as always thank you for the tips and tricks ♥️🥰

I'm pretty sure the shiny sound indicator works as a sphere. I once was flying on Braviary pretty high on the iceland and say a tiny golden pokemon on the ground. I was very confused because I don't think there is any pokemon naturally that color on the iceland. I decided to land to check it out. It wasn't until halfway I was landing did I see and heard the shiny sparkle effect. Turns out it was a shiny Piloswine.
Makes me glad I don’t fly super high then. The shiny sound indicator was my only sign that there was a shiny Gastly just chilling in the underground ice caves
I got a shiny alpha empoleon. It was loaded enough that i could see it and it looked different than the normal one so when i got closer it fully loaded in and I saw the shiny sparkle. Was so great. Was going for a piplup outbreak and got that instead
Regarding the shiny sound notification: I was flying quite high over Alabaster near Avalugg’s Legacy, and I heard the shiny sound! But I didn’t see anything so I ran around for almost 10 minutes catching things before finally remembering the ice tunnels under the open fields. Went inside, and found shiny Bergmite. So, whichever shape it uses, it’s got a pretty long distance on it!
After the latest patch to the game, there's a game breaking bug involving Cresselia. If you capture her before talking to Warden Melli, Cresselia will not give you the plate, and a cutscene will activate where Melli asks you to capture Cresselia, which is now impossible since it's already been captured and does not respawn. Please make a video covering this bug so that Game Freak / Nintendo / the internet becomes avidly aware of the bug so that it can be patched to help those who have been unable to finish the game because of it!

Not sure if it was figured out by now, but the shiny sound is definitely a sphere. I was flying around on Braviary in the Mirelands and was actually able to see a shiny Yanma pretty much right below me before the sound and sparkle happened.

I had been hunting the alpha parasect by deertrack heights for roughly a week when my gf started a game and encountered the shiny alpha randomly just playing through the game while i was explaining to her how i was going to get one.
I literally played for 8 hours a day, in morning and at night, even passing out multiple nights for 9 days in a row. I gave up. I was doing a massive mass outbreak and was like, “I’ll see what’s in the temple”. Got my shiny alpha Gallade the very next reset after that. A lot of effort and honestly wondering why I exist while doing it but it was worth it in the end 😂😂

Just commenting to say that I'm glad to see someone pronouncing Arceus correctly. :P I think Arceus is the only Pokemon that even the dub team had a hard time deciding how to pronounce it. In some scenes, they say Ar-kay-us, in others, they'll say Ar-kee-us, which is hella confusing. Ever since Arceus was released years ago, most fans and myself pronounced it the way you do and I think that's because we got the pronunciation from Japanese commercials and promos. My fiance and I recently did a double check on how it's pronounced in the dub and reaffirmed that the dub team doesn't really care anymore, lol. So we go by the original pronunciation in the Japanese version. :) Also, I'm jealous of your Majora's Mask.
I decided to shiny hunt the alpha luxray in the Sacred Plaza and got it on my second zone in! I named him Money; I just wish I could ride him like the Arcanine in Let's Go

Funny story, When I first started the game, I encountered a shiny alpha staravia that was 30 levels above my team. Me and my Bidoof crew saved and proceeded to get sweeped 30 times before I quit. Yeah that wasn’t so funny
I had the frozen sideways wild Braviary happen to me too. It stays frozen if you save and reload the save and unfreezes if you throw a Pokeball at it, even if the ball bonks from being thrown from too far away. Also, I found a Shiny Alpha Goodra. I actually don't like Alphas because of their distorted cries, (in my defense, the first Alpha I used was Parasect. The cry was so loud and bad that I caught and trained a normal Paras.) but Goodra's bronze shell, ooze, and eyes look so cool and the cry isn't that different.

Finally caught the shiny alpha Gallade after like 3 days of resetting. Thank you for showing me the rising Braviary trick that definitely helped a lot for this hunt
It took me five days to eventually quit on shiny Eevee now I'm just waiting for an Eevee mass outbreak
My second Alpha Shiny
i found 2 bidoof on two resets lol, also for an eevee
@@Za_Memeister two shiny Bidoof too?👀
I got 2 shiny roselia back to back on an outbreak, first was just a pos. The 2nd was an alpha, I flipped my lid lol
(Uploaded a quick video of it and other shinies on my channel if anyones interested in seeing it)
I got a shiny alpha combee... male...
@@tomnookssweetass9004 F. When you win and lose at the same time…
I got a shiny alpha Vespiquen and... A Bibarel. Yay.
I got three regular shiny Zorua from mass outbreaks, though. Evolved two of them: the biggest and smallest Zoroarks registered in the dex so far.
I haven’t even started truly shiny hunting but I stumbled across a random shiny alpha lickitung while out working on my Pokédex. I love how just by the nature of how many Pokémon you see in this game, the shiny odds feel like they’re turned way up.
I got a shiny alpha drifblim that spawned right on the border of a forming distortion zone. I had the dex complete but otherwise I believe it was full odds. No outbreak or anything.
I caught a shiny Alpha Grotle today during an outbreak and I thought my soul was going to ascend into another dimension.
Totally lucked out and found my first ever shiny alpha (electivire) last night! I thought it was an error at first since the color is only slightly different
for people having trouble with the buttons, i found its easy to do it this way. plus to call out braviary, and then Y, plus, A, repeat. just over and over Y plus A. its a little tricky to keep up the rhythm but it was the easiest way for me, so i thought id share it.
i still cant doo ittt ;-;
@@meowgoddess185 it helps if you do it with both hands! it was a little awkward since i was using the joycons but i got it after a while. you can do it! (ง'̀-'́)ง
I keep getting stuck under ledge
@@holmes7772000 IKR
How the hell does it even happen
I found my Gallade in 13 resets, told my friend and he got it in 3. Indeed some easy alphas.
Got alpha Gallade randomly on my 1st play through without using videos lol must be fairly easy.
Yeah but using braviary is the stupidly hard part if you want to do it the way in the vid
I got incredibly lucky a few days ago. I was farming garchomp alpha to see how much exp I could get and my second time shiny alpha garchomp popped up. I was in awe, wasn’t expecting it at all lol but very happy haven’t seen any videos with one which makes it that much crazier!
11:58 Just a heads up, it's definitely NOT infinite. I'm not sure if it's a sphere, but it's not infinite and you CAN fly directly over top of a shiny and physically see it in the world without the sparkle/sound ever going off. Just tested it out myself. Great video though!
Happened to me every time I find a shiny Turtwig. This is very much true.
I randomly stumbled upon a shiny alpha frostlass as I was trying to get myself a hisuan Zorua, took me a while to process what just happened
Ive been looking to shiny hunt some alphas! Thanks for the guides!
you can also do this if a mass mass outbreak overlaps a alpha, so if you finish the MMO there for example the gardevior in the icelands you can save after the MO disappears and relogging the game will make the alpha reapear with completely different shiny luck and stats and everything
The Alpha Sneasel in Alabaster Icelands was shiny for me earlier today. My first shiny Alpha!
Same!
13:29 ive had the same thing, same spot too! if you dont catch bird, it stays in the same place as before you threw the ball. Birds aren't real.
I believe its the cylinder thing you explained for the sound radius, because I've had about 2-3 times where I was either underground or overworld and heard a shiny pokemon above/below me! This also includes having the holes entrance not immediately close to me as well.
Austin thank you for always putting out great content, you always come in clutch.
Have a great day
-random guy on the internet
The first alpha Blissy I have seen in the game was shiny. Also I got an shiny alpha Gastly while looking for whisps.
That Braviary from atop Snowpoint Temple is now a great method to farm Braviary for the dex entry since he respawns like every not-even 5 minutes, and is also just a great way to farm experience. Do the other various airborne Pokemon respawn that quickly? I've never noticed it with the others, but then again Snowpoint Temple is less out-of-the-way than the other spawn-points; like you're eventually going to get there whereas the others are in fairly unimportant areas, maybe it's more noticeable here because you'll have to keep going back for whatever reason (I personally used the top of the temple as a starting point to glide over the whole region to look for wisps).
no all pookemon respawn after a while it was most likely just a coincidence he caught it right before it was about to respawn.
Loved this vid as always thank you for the tips and tricks ♥️🥰
i got a shiny alpha krickitune not long after i beat the game, and i think its funny that its a krickitune, and then literally yesterday i came across a shiny alpha golem.
Thanks so much Austin all you're videos are so helpful and you're always such a nice guy and without you I wouldn't have found 2 beautiful shinys today got gyarados and hisuian zoroark
I was able to get an Alpha Shiny Gallade thanks to this method! Thanks!!!
Don’t evolve it. Shiny Mamo ugly asf
If you get a second one though go ahead
I did the same thing but, mine was electricbuzz
Please make a video covering this bug so that Game Freak / Nintendo / the internet becomes avidly aware of the bug so that it can be patched to help those who have been unable to finish the game because of it!
you must obsessed to have volo’s theme in the background in every video of PLA
I got a shiny alpha Garchomp yesterday. Adamant nature with rest!!!!!!!
I only got 2 apha shinies, one who was from a mass and the other one from a massive mass outbreak. The MMO was a Lickitung and the MO was a shiny alpha starly X3
I don't know if it's boosted but while I'm still hunting for a shiny spiritomb, I have noticed it is pretty frequently an alpha but not always.
Uh I think spirttomb is shiny locked? At least I thought so?
Got myself a shiny alpha Gastrodon the other day, it looks very similar to a normal Gastrodon but those stars make it all worth it
My first shiny in the game was an alpha vespiqueen 🥰 I was very happy because I already had a vespiqueen on my team so I just switched them out! Nothing beats the adrenaline rush of finding a shiny surprise while playing pokemon
How did you get it?
@@summermeadows3385 it was a full odds random shiny, just saw it while I was walking around. Most of my shinies are from mass outbreak hunting though
Hahaha! I liked hearing his friend get all excited, that's awesome☺️ also this is really handy, thank you!
10:25 this method is much easier with a turbo button
I tried the Braviary trick. It took me a bit to get the hang of it & I've only preformed it twice, but managed to do it. My way is a little unrefined, but it still gets the job done! Thank you for explaining it; it was a big help!
13:30 I found that same frozen braviery and failed to catch it and it stayed frozen
Love your work dude, i can't wait for your BOTW 2 coverage 😁
I personally think normal shinys in this game are too easy, and I find much more of a thrill hunting the alpha shinys and hunting shiny starters and such. I’ve found 3 shiny alphas so far and got a shiny alpha piplup from an outbreak.
I caught a shiny alpha golem full odds and no shiny charm yet it was my first golem and my first alpha golem I've ever found
I was just traveling around and it was just there I didn't reload or anything I was very proud of myself
Austin I got a shiny ursaluna and sense it was crimson and you in your videos liked the color I named it Austin John and good job on the videos they are very helpful 👍
I’m still sad about the shiny basculin I had spawn in and IMMEDIATELY despawn… tried reloading/ traveling to camp and he was gone 😞
Not sure if it was figured out by now, but the shiny sound is definitely a sphere. I was flying around on Braviary in the Mirelands and was actually able to see a shiny Yanma pretty much right below me before the sound and sparkle happened.
I still can't get over my first encounter every with Clefable, the alpha in Coronet, shiny, boom! It was also mi first shiny in the whole game. Wish I had recorded it lol
Thanks for the guide I have been wanting to hunt alphas your videos are very helpful also I was looking for a cleffa for my poke dex and found a full odds shiny alpha cleffable
So I didn't realize how rare Alpha Shinies were, but my first breakout I did, Staraptor, got a shiny alpha Staraptor. It helpped me significantly through the game, perma team member.
i have one shiny alpha and it came from an MMO with a star and it’s alpha mantine…it was my dex mantine too she’s is beautiful
I got a shiny alpha Stantler a while ago as my first shiny in this game, I got lucky and it only took like 40 tries
I only have one shiny alpha. It's a Raichu and it just happened to be there. I didn't even hear the sound. I just threw a ball at it for the dex and boom, shiny alpha!
Waste of time. Breviary can’t fly up.
Skill issue

Thanks so much for this video!!!! I just did it for gallade (the trick to get up top is very fun lol) and it didn't even take ten checks !!
My dex entry for him was complete (level ten) not perfect in case anybody wondered
6:36 “the power of science and technology is amazing!!” Lol
i got 4 shiny alphas all while randomly exploring.. clefable, yanmanga, ursaring and graveler
I found a random full odds shiny alph west shore gastrodon in the obsidian field lands. I was like WTF!! lol
ive seen that sideways braviary before its so funny!!! thanks for the tips on the hunt mate! ive low key wanted to try for the alpha gallade shiny and thought i had to just keep going back to jubilife which was AGONY!!! you rock man!!
Thank you everyone for all the hard work and dedication!
The Gallade took me no more than 10 tries to get a shiny, I thought I'd be doing it a lot longer, and I'm pumped thanks for the help🙂
Do you just reset there
Yesterday I was trying to find a shaking tree(for cherubi) then I randomly found a shiny alpha Carnivine.
Also, I'm jealous of your Majora's Mask.
I decided to shiny hunt the alpha luxray in the Sacred Plaza and got it on my second zone in! I named him Money; I just wish I could ride him like the Arcanine in Let's Go
Sometimes the Pokémon glitches in the wild are hilarious. I was walking by a bidoof when it randomly floated up a tree, when I walked away and came back it flew back down.
Funny enough in my first play through the baby ralts next to that Gallade was shiny… love this game 😍
Caught a shiny alpha lickalicky randomly today and now this is popping up in my recommended. Seems like the hunt as begun..
What about Octillery and Phonie in the Sea's Legends cave? Some found out you can climb a tree and use Braviary to get on top of SnowPoint Temple btw.
When you saw the Braviary at the top of the temple, I related back to when I saw Gyarados(?) flying around by the Obsidian Falls-
I got a full odds shiny alpha gastly after getting a regular full odds shiny gastly a few hours prior and was in complete disbelief because it was randomly in the wild
I’m so excited. I’m not even that far into the game and I have a Shiny Ponyta (duh), Shiny Sudowoodo (first one encountered too! I had no Pokédex on it) , Shiny Carnivine, Shiny Tangela, Shiny Aipom and a Shiny Scyther! All in the span of 3 days- minus the ponyta. I feel so lucky!
It's funny you made this....
I caught a full odds Alpha Shiny Wurmple right after calming the first noble
