I think its nice Warriors is adding more diversity. Makes the story feel more open. Plus there was Sharptooth
Yeah we had sharptooth as far back as arc 2 so I am not surprised, in fact im sort of delighted!

I know you described this plot as "very safe," but honestly, this is leaps and bounds ahead of the stereotypical "going on a journey to help another colony of cats." Yeah, lions/tigers/leopards/whatever big cats they meet are still cats, but having the Clans discover that the Great Cats still exist, among encountering other zoo animals, is such a unique plotline! I didn't know the current team had it in them to come up with something like this.
Remember, a lion was pretty much in warriors. The darkest hour had a vision of Firestar’s. He saw a lion in the water- it was him, but he saw a lion anyway.

I honestly don’t see lions happening but perhaps cougars or some wild cat species like bobcats or lynxes. No more foxes and badgers please. Give me more but different cats

It would be cool if the 2 animals are a bobcat and a lynx, but I also think tigers would be a good choice. More tigers are kept by roadside "zoos" and exotic pet owners in America than there are in the wild (and since series 2 had a cougar this is kinda ambiguously american). Tigers (or lions) obviously wouldn't survive well outside, but lynxes or bobcats could, and it would be cool to have these semi-rogue agents hanging around the clans
The series is (technically supposed to be) set in the UK, which has a more culturally relevant history of lions being kept as pets. But I'd prefer a cat species that has genetic compatability with clan cats because hybrids would be really cool to see. Servals, margay, Asian leopard cats, jungle cats, caracals, fishing cats, Scottish wildcats, and geoffrey's cats are all confirmed to be able to breed with domestic cats.
I think that smaller wild cats would be super fun just because I would LOVE to see a Lynx thrown in to the clans. I know a few people headcanon that the Tigerstar line has some lynx blood which is why they're all so massive.
Honestly hope so never made sense how the clans “started as big cats” but actually started as domestic cats? I’d love more information on that structure
I would like to see the cats interact with the big cats and “big” cats because imagine being like “OMG THE LEGENDS ARE REAL” but not in the way they thought 😂

As someone who isn’t caught up to the series and doesn’t want spoilers, i’m getting this book either way i want i want i want i do not care i only know half the cats in it i want it and this is the first time i’ve felt like this

I’m so happy that warriors is finally get more open with cats communicating with other animals like mille did with the dogs.
I'm very curious to see how this goes. The most we've seen of other animals other than battles is Midnight.

Actually, I reckon that the two exotic animals will be leopard cats, servals, or jungle cats, considering they are very close to domestic cats (genetically, at least) and would probably be able to speak the same language in cannon.
Also, with the “five cats” thing, I think since RiverClan is full of drama at the moment, so it would be fun to see a perspective of a loner with no prior connections to clans or groups in general.
Every time a new book comes out, I've wondered "why don't they add bears to the books?". I realize that a bear would probably kill an entire clan, but the warrior cats are great at it themselves, so it wouldn't be anything new.
So now I'm really surprised! Lions? Or maybe cheetahs? Maybe jaguars? Maybe tigers??? It would be some kind of HUGE cat either way! Which means this book should definitely be interesting! I hope the authors don't spoil anything and there won't be some ridiculous scenes of betrayal, on the part of the huge cats.
I also think they'll probably find a circus.
If I had to take a shot in the dark for a RiverClan cat I’d say IceWing. She’s kinda (huge air quotes on kinda) popular amongst people still reading the books, especially when it comes to RiverClan cats, and she’s been getting more attention recently. But this is warriors we’re talking about so the authors remembering this is a long shot.
Now that RiverClan is getting a bit of focus maybe the RiverClan cat chosen won't be an inconsequential background character or at least won't STAY an inconsequential background character.
Here's some ideas the writers could use if they wanted to make RiverClan's part in these super editions meaningful:
1. Send Mothwing. She definitely doesn't want to go because she (rightfully) doesn't trust Podlight to be the only healer in her Clan and she doesn't trust StarClan to be inherently right but Splashtail could use the fact that this is a vision from StarClan as grounds to force her to go using violence. There's some conflict with the other questing cats because she had to be forced to join them.
2. Send Harelight or Icewing. They're happy to go because something terrible happened to whichever one of them doesn't go. Splashtail's not going to openly kill them but he could set them up to do dangerous tasks to 'prove their loyalty' after they were so deferential to ShadowClan. Or just make sure they're ostracized (which would make either a 'tragic accident' or a real accident more likely). We deal with their mixed feelings about their loved ones' lack of loyalty to them and about the ShadowClan cat on the journey. Icewing would be the better option of the two because she went through something similar to Ivypool and would be someone for her to talk to. We could also hear more about her backstory and why she ended up training in the Dark Forest.
3. Send Lizardtail, Gorseclaw, Nightsky or Breezeheart. There's been conflict between them and their son/brother/mother because of ShadowClan's invasion and Splashtail. Maybe they could work out their feelings of abandonment or betrayal in parallel to Ivypool's feelings about Dovewing. Tawnypelt is there to help Ivypool understand the other side of her conflict with her sister.
4. Send Mistpaw or Graypaw. Whichever one of them doesn't go is upset that after so many losses, another littermate is leaving them. And whoever does go is sad and wishes for their sibling to forgive them. They also don't believe Frostpaw's visions about what Curlfeather has done and are quite rude to the ShadowClan cat on the journey.
Meanwhile WindClan being irrelevant for like the last 10 books...

Personally, I think that they find midnight as one of the cadged animals. That would explain how the animal is tied to the clans.

I always wished they added things like lynx and bobcats, but it’s supposedly in Europe, but are there mountain lions there? I can’t imagine how the cats would “save” lions. But they could probably save a lynx or bobcat.

There are no wild ligers, they’d die off nearly immediately, and they’re sterile so they can’t reproduce. You might as well ask to see a unicorn

If there are lions, and there’s dogs, it probably either an escaped circus animals or escaped zoo animals. In every super edition I’ve read, they have introduced the cats view of Humans lives; in Firestar’s quest it showed four teenager boys jumping into a quarry, also in the same book; two Moms letting their children play in a creek. In Yellowfangs secret I think there was a reference to a snowman. In Tigerheart’s super edition it showed a city landscape, train stations , and a barbecue. And in Riverstar’s home it showed a Mall. Looks like the super edition is bringing up a notch with Zoo animals.

There have already been two friendly dogs in the series, but I believe it would be cool if the Erin’s added in a dog character who could communicate with the cats and who could be a guardian for them. I don’t think the dog should be a spirit like Midnight, but it should be an ally to the cats and even help them fight in battles and possibly help them out with prophecies.
Lions would honestly be a pretty bananas pull for the series, though I suppose not out of the question since they've used non-native raccoons to generate conflict in the past. But honestly my first thought was that the "strange animals with surprising ties to the clans" were going to be European wildcats. This would actually make sense for the "righting a wrong that goes back generations" because domestic cats ARE a sizable contributor to the decline in European wildcat populations, so there could easily be some story about how the ancients or early clan cats did something to a group of wildcats that pushed them out of their homeland, like they did with the badgers. Granted, that would be edging a little too close to deconstructing the fact that a huge feral cat population like in warriors is BAD for the local ecosystem actually, which is a direction I have a hard time seeing the series going in since by and large warriors plays it VERY safe. But honestly that feels more likely to me than lions.
Now we can have a example of the name, lion.

On the dogs thing, I think it would be more interesting at this point if they found dogs to ally with in some way

I think there will be another felis genus feline such as a Sand Cat or Scottish Wildcat. If I can include another feline that’s not a felis but similar to cats is the Pallas’s Cat.

I like to add servals that escaped from exotic animal owners into one arc of my stories. They’re about the size of domestic cats, if a bit taller, and look like small leopards. The lore I give them is that leopards used to rule their home lands, but when twolegs came along, they adapted by turning into new animals over time. First we’re cheetahs, who are smaller and faster. Then they became servals, who’s size and speed made it easier for them to escape and hide. It would be cool if Warriors did something like this.
Now I'm imagining Warrior Cats crossing over with Bravelands.
I still think it's a lion and a tiger. It'd be cool to see two animals from the ancient mythical clans.
I dunno I just wanna see tigers in the series that aren't just from one of the guides.

I am very excited for this book since Bristlefrost, and my personal favorite warrior cat Ivypool, are going to be in the center stage for a chance. And also having an adventurous and maybe even thrilling plot introduced will be extremely nostalgic for me from the release of Oots.
I kinda wanna see the writing team do a zombie apocalypse story and see how that goes like that one longtail map or something
My guess on the cats that are going is Ivypool of course, Fognose, to maybe help with the Splashtail problem by getting her to tell them info about him, Breezepelt, to make him do something, Spireclaw, to leave Fringewhisker vulnerable, and Fidgetflake as a med cat along the way.

I just finished The Broken Code books. I was excited to see Ivy Pool appear sometimes in that ark. Omen Of The Stars is my favorite ark so it's nice to see Ivy Pool get a Super Edition. Id also like to see Root Spring as one of the five cats. But I noticed from this video Ivy Pool becomes new deputy what happened to Squirrel Flight?? Thx for the vid! I'm so excited for the Super Edition :)

I’ve heard that the book takes place in southern England and I’ve also heard it takes place in Europe. Both of these places do not have lions or tigers inhabiting them. I don’t find it accurate. I personally don’t like the idea but at the same time I think it would be cool.
They would be be native the lions would be from an illegal exotic animal handler! Think of Tiger King!
They also had "sharptooth" from the second series which was a cougar/mountain lion, so who knows where warrior cats is located
@@thebeesknees715Cougars have been spotted in the UK before. There is a niche population that exists here. The books are set in the UK.
Also, we know it’s not accurate. For gods sake, foxes are described as the size of bears, when foxes are near the same size as cats and are very weary of them. But even then, the Twoleg den will probably be a place holding animals up for trade in the Exotic Animal/Fur trade. Those types of trades exist, regardless of country.
Yeah, because cats with superpowers, StarClan and the Dark Forest having ridiculous rules, multiple locations, badgers being way bigger than they should be, foxes being way bigger than they should be, herbs not making much sense, are all very accurate

I have a faint memory of a character talking about the 3 ancient clans, but dont think they have been really brought up since the first arc when they temporarily joined a couple of clans together. They didn't come up in Dawn of the Clans so how much further can they get before dawn?
