Anyone remember when Clawface died in Forest of Secretes And was alive (and had quite a major role) in Tigerclaw’s fury? And how he had a son that would be an elder at that point in time?
Didn't he die in Fire and Ice?
I haven't read tigerclaws fury, but I want to. Should I read it? I've only finished omen of the stars.

@Sofia Lozano I've had many, MANY spoilers. When I was only reading the prophesies begin, I knew leafpool was going to break the code with crowfeather, and I knew dovewing ran off with tigerheart, because I accidentally read Tigerhearts shadow (lol ) so yeah, maybe I'll read it
I feel like they made an ai and inputted all the allegiances into it, and it just spit out something random and they said "Yeah that makes sense"

The German translators are really bad, messing up names all the time, cutting entire paragraphs etc.
The allegiances for Pinestarʼs Choice were all over the place because every cat that appeared in the book was placed in the allegiances, even though about five years pass during the book.
Goosefeather is there twice, for example.
I didn't know the actual authors could make such stupid mistakes too.
I read the arcs 1-6 in german and the names are being messed up all the time! Just why? Nearly all toms who have the suffix -fur are being changed to have the suffix -pelt. The name changes don't even make sense, they are just confusing lol
Yes and characters have different translations in different arcs/special editions. For example in the main arc, Thistleclaw is translated as Distelkralle or Distelklaue, in Bluestar's super edition he's translated as Stachelkralle. I also really dont understand their decision to change Crookedstars name to "Stripestar"? In the main arc he's called Stripestar so obviously in his super edition, they needed him to change his name to Stripe- to fit the original arc, while also having the "Crooked"-prefix because it's important for the character development. So StarClan changed his name while giving him his 9 lives from Crookedmouth to Stripestar because "You suffered enough". Like I understand where that's coming from but it's so weird that his name change through StarClan only happened in the German edition?
(Similar with Brightheart. They didnt think her original Bright- prefix would be important so they changed it to Corn-, only for Firestar to completely change her name to Lightheart in the end, while in the English version she just returns to her old apprentice/kit suffix)

@@historydude844 No you're understanding it wrong. He changes her name to Brightheart in the original English version as well. However in the English version her apprentice name was Brightpaw, so "Brightheart" isnt a completely new invention, but just him returning to her birth name. (In English she goes through "Brightpaw -> Lostface -> Brightheart").
In the German translation her apprentice name is Cornpaw. So him naming her Brightheart (more direct translation of the German name is Lightheart) is a completely new 'invention' of Firestar, rather than him returning to her birthname (She goes through "Cornpaw -> Halfface/Lostface -> Brightheart/Lightheart")

When Mousefur and Runningwind were shown to be warriors even before Thistlepaw and Rosepaw became warriors, I cringed.
Erins, please proofread your mistakes over... I'm sorry, but an error in every Clan is an error in the book itself. Thank you for bringing this to attention. :)
Mousefur and runningwind are in my top 10 favourite warrior cats so I’m really upset that they did that

I believe they give someone else who has never read a warrior cats book in their lives the task to create the allegiances 😂
And since Erin Hunter themselves write so many books, they get confused with all the characters and different book series and rely totally on the allegiances 😂

I can’t believe I forgot one of my favorite cats, Whitestorm, existed until now.
Even FrostFur was more memorable since she was in omen of the stars briefly. Warriors did not do any of those background gen1 characters justice.

Maybe it's because I only just finished story arc 1 and I'm new to the fandom but whitestorm is a pretty heavy bg character idk I can't imagine forgetting him. *Spoilers!* He was firestar's deputy. Idk he was one of my favorite characters and I'm really upset he died. He literally carries the whole clan on his back soooooo many times while bluestar goes berzonkers and fireheart was scrambling to figure out how to be deputy. I'll be real I totally cried when he died lol I wished they hadnt killed him he's like literally one of the only cats who dies in that battle and it makes me mad.
Also I think frost fur gets mentioned maybe like 5 times through the whole first main story... While whitestorm is mentioned numerous times in ✨most✨ books in that set. She must have something big come up later cuz when they mentioned her going with them to fourtrees for the battle with blood clan I had almost forgotten she even existed. I was like ohhhh yeaa... That other all white cat... Also can we just talk for like 2 sec about how all the other cats "made fun" of cloud tail for being an all white kit and having no camouflage when there were literally 2 other all white cats in the camp? Lol sorry just had to mention that since we brought them up. I just feel like the bg characters get completely forgotten about by erins until they need them lol

This just shows how much of a mess the warrior cats family tree is.
I tried to make a Warrior Cats family tree with a good family tree making app. I still have it there but It's too much, I've worked on it for probably an hour with all the information needed from the Wiki in case I forgot something and there is so much done yet I'm far from finished. The family tree sure is a mess.
I mean we keep saying that the Erin’s are bound to make a mistake with so many books, but as readers, we take in just as much information as the writers. The writers should know the bare minimum of a characters age and parents. I’m not mad, just really confused on how this happened. Whitekit had a whole scene over his mother’s death- it’s hard to forget who his mother and father are.
the worst mistake is that this book is supposed to take place before into the wild, and leopardstar is somehow leader despite her being crookedstars deputy, and crookedstar being leader in into the wild.
It starts before into the wild seemingly with Leppardstar as an apprentice still but the end of the book is going to take place during Into The Wild from what I understand

Okay but one that always made me laugh was in Yellowfang's Secret, when they had called Raggedpelt "Raggedstar" before he was made deputy, and it pretty much foreshadowed it

In tallstars revenge, after Shrewclaw is made a warrior, he still gets called Shrewpaw at one point. And in rising storm, in the alligances, it calls mousefur a ‘Small dusky brown tom’
In yellowfang's secret, tall tail and shrewclaw are shown as warriors well before barkpaw is introduced as hawkheart's apprentice
They cloned Whitestorm so one of them could be Ashfur's father.
with Greystripe, im gonna just throw it out there. I think they wanted to put a little dementia in this with Greystripe as he is one of the oldest cats in the clans and they wanted to show his old age like they did with Greypool.

Honestly I think Beetlewhisker has it the worst. He died in The Last Hope, and confirmed dead in Dovewing Silence, but in Vison of shadows when dark tails cats take over the river clan camp he is one of the warriors fighting Darktails cats

Yeah, I know they didn't know how far Warriors would go when they wrote the first books, but they really should have decided things like family trees for all the cats in each Clan beforehand, rather than retconning them in later and causing so many mistakes, inconsistencies, and intra-family relationships that only became so once they added the details.
Of course, real cats partner up with whoever, but these cats come across as having more human standards, so...
But then they would have had to start with a lot more characters.

If they weren’t as organized I would have gotten over it since real cats but they seem to be morally human like so I really really agree.

1, his dad's an apparentice.
2. He's a kit and warrior.
3. Snowfur is alive when he's a warrior.
do they even have editors for these? I love the books but fact-checking can't be that hard by this point
I read the extended preview on the Warriors website last night during my insomnia boredom and honestly even the writing was sub par. I found a lot of super basic editing mistakes; and I mean like actual rules of writing were broken on multiple occasions, so it felt more like reading a fanfiction than an official book. Often times when reading fanfics I find myself editing in my head when there are mistakes and just mentally correcting so that it's grammatically correct/properly formatted/etc. and I was not planning on having to do that for a professionally written work with an actual editing team
This is a preview though, so maybe at least some of the mistakes will be corrected

I’m curious, if the allegiances are this bad would it affect the actual story. To be honest I just got back into Warriors after not reading it for several years(I’m slowly catching up). I use to look at them in the next book I read after I saw a new cat become a warrior.
Yeah I usually use character births and deaths to tie the timeline together so I always look to the allegiances (if that doesn't work sometimes I just use major events like the great battle and the great journey)
@@umbreonattack Exactly! It should be a useful tool for us(even tho they do have some spoilers sometimes). It's sad that the fans care way more and are more careful when it comes to keeping track of the warrior storyline. I know these are kid books but even children will pick up on most of these inconsistencies. I wish they'd release less books if that meant they'd pay attention to their own timeline. Kids deserve to read well written books too.

Weren't there two frecklewishs in the series as well? The one that got killed by mapleshade and I think the other was in the reformed sky clan. And two mudclaws. One in shadow clan in yellowfangs big edition and the obvious wind clan one. This is not the only time things got funky.
Different cats having the same name at different points in time is fairly common, and not really that weird. Loads of humans share the same name. I do find it somewhat odd when we get Silverstream and Silverpaw, two separate cats, in the Clan at the same time though. Sharing a prefix at the same time in the same Clan seems a little odd.
I remember in Tigerclaw's Fury how Clawface not only is alive but have a good arc as a shadowcat, mate and father.
But he died by Graystripe at least one or two books ago lmao
There’s also a mistake in Tallstar’s Revenge where Fuzzypelt and Robinwing are apprentices while Dappletail is a warrior. warriors. But in Bluestar’s Prophecy it’s actually the other way around

I feel like they should have just left CS promise, BS prochecy, TS revenge and YF secret as the only 4 prequel super editions- they kinda form a nice little quartet of "books that explain the original 4 leaders in the first book"

This is nothing compared to two different Reedshines serving under two different Darkstars' leaderships and Beetlewhisker dying in the Dark Forest then appearing alive again
I don’t care what any Erin says, the RiverClan cats in Mapleshades Vengeance and the ones in CoTC are the same. It seems like they were obviously planned to be, there are warriors with the same name like Darkstar, Reedshine, Splashheart and Eeltail who I believe are the same as the ones in MV.
I’m patiently waiting for Moon Kiti to start memeing on this. I particularly want the clones to meet.
I’d just like to point out,they forgot to put the title on the cover of the book of Leopard'Stars honor. It just came in the mail for me today,and I was ready to see it…but,well,uh…there no title. It was super awkward. The cover was just Leopard'Star/Leopard'Fur standing in the water,staring. Yikes.
did you get a hardcover? the hardcovers have a removable sleeve with the "title" (aka the character art and then the title and other writing), and then the actual cover of the book itself under the sleeve is just the full character art, with no writing on it. did your copy come missing the sleeve?

Speaking of two Whitestorms (for the thumbnail) if you look in ShadowClan’s elders in the first book, you will find Ashfur’s name twin
There were also two Ashfurs! The one From The first few books in The first series was There, we acknowledged her, but when ASHFUR Ashfur came along, we completely forgot about the older one

I've read sixty of the books, and at this point I don't even think /the authors/ are reading their own books. Like in Bluestar's Prophecy, they changed Crookedstar's mother in the allegiances! I read it a while ago, but I'm pretty sure it was Lilyheart (?!) or Lilystem or something. Her actual name is Rainflower. Like seriously? I know there are a lot of different authors, books, and many, many cats, but that's no excuse to make these huge errors. It seems like they're just pumping out books without even checking to make sure there aren't huge mistakes. For instance, I’ve heard there are many other errors in Leopardstar's book, like they re-ordered stuff in the chapters but didn't fix it. Not to mention all the typos, spelling mistakes, and random extra letters in the dialog of A Thief In ThunderClan. Like seriously did no one preview it before publication? I thought you guys were professionals. And in my opinion, one of the worst mistakes is that I’ve heard in the ebook of Riverstar’s Home Tigerstar is mentioned in the allegiances? Like um… he isn’t alive yet? Come on guys, that is just… tbh, kinda pathetic. Please do better with the upcoming books.

Update: it was not fixed and I noticed this in my copy of the book and was so confused about whitestorm and thistlepaw and snowfur, but maybe there’s an even more recent copy that has it fixed? I don’t think so though
in midnight, sorreltail is said to be an apprentice, but she did become a warrior at the beginning, which isnt that bad, but in moonrise, she is still discribed as a warrior, and the order of the new prophecy, midnight can start, it makes sense, but like moonrise isnt after midnight, it should be dawn, or maybe starlight

One would hope that authors create outlines including timelines before they start writing to ensure mistakes like these don't happen.. but there ya go..

for the thing with boulder and russetfur , i would like to point out that it usually only has the cats mentioned in the book , so if russetfur is not in the book , it makes sense she is not in the allegiances .
In starlight, smokepaw is listed as oakfur's apprentice when he died in dawn on the mountains after a cliff fell under him

Speaking of two whitestorms, I was rereading the series and when I was reading The Darkest Hour during the battle with Scourge, it said "Tornear was lying motionless". In the next book, he was listed. Secret leader?

i dont really think they mean it that way. in crookedstars promise, there is a litter of kits noted that havent even been born at the beginning of the book, i think the clan lists are just a list of all characters that will appear troughout the whole book, not just the beginning of the book.

Watching this and hearing about the time line issues and clones reminds me of that time travel au, lol. Maybe they're onto something.
While reading the book I have noticed that at least twice they accidently called Leopardstar by her leader name before she was leader. Whoever they hired as editor (if they hired someone at all) wasn't doing their job lol
