Let’s keep comments honouring. We are watching these videos by our own choice and not everything will be to our preference. I find it helpful to see how other churches and musicians approach music for worship and find that there’s often something to learn, even if we wouldn’t do the same. For decades I hated p-bass tone, using a pick and drive but do see how it can be used effectively and have started to make use of it over recent years. People commented that the bass tone is bad. However, often the best bass tone for a mix is quite edgy. In the room with subs, this bass tone may well sit in the mix really well.
My very first bass I got when I was 14 was a Squire P-bass that I bought from my brother’s buddy for $100. I had a bass class I was teaching the other night and needed to demo to the kids on a 4- string, so I fixed a loose wire and it sounds amazing all these years later. I have ultra light strings on it, I think they are Funkmasters and it is so effortless the strings are very flexible, the neck is the perfect size and the action is just right. I forgot how much I enjoyed playing that bass all due to a loose wire! I just plug straight into the head, no preamp, no batteries, no fuss, just great tone and playability. I normal use finger style though, just my preference for the type of worship I play but I have friends in bigger churches that only use a pick.
That’s a nice setup you got there. Synth bass, pads, computer so you’re MD running tracks and doing talkback too. Nice job! Every time I play a worship set, my gear goes with me. I’d love to have a permanent setup like this to leave in-place each week.
Wow, I never want to show this to my female vocalists cause they'd get ideas with that long instrumental and my bass is heavy enough as it is, lol! Great job!
Brother, a pick is simply a tool. An artist can use whatever tool they want to create the sound they desire. On this topic, check out bass legend from Tower of Power, Sly & the Family Stone's, "Bobby Vega pick bass groove" video and forget the notion that a pick cannot be used for bass guitars. No hate, but when I started playing bass, a music professor I respected had the same view as you which actually discouraged me from using bass picks, until I found Bobby Vega and it completely changed my thinking.
Question, why do you use a pick for CCM? Personally I just pluck because it sounds a lot softer yet just as powerful... just curious why you use them when they sometimes cause a more harsh sound.
I’m using the Akai to control Ableton, so I have different faders to control the volume for Keys/ Percs/ Guitars on the tracks, also an on/off Repeat (to loop whatever session of the song on the spot), have click on/off, and then a short cut for song 1/2/3!!
Not trying to be rude or condescending, but just contemplating what Jesus thinks of these videos. All the musicians recording themselves. I know what people mean when they leave the church and say worship was a big emotional roadshow. I've seen the difference between media team members that worship while they run the camera and those that are in it just for the hype of sunday morning service.
I get where you are coming from and see your point. However could it be possible that by someone seeing these videos that it will inspire them to get up out of that blue seat or pew and start serving? Sometimes the Holy Spirit tugs at the hearts of those that know they need to serve but just haven't been inspired to just yet.
@@baronrichmond5667 Notice how you replied to my comment quickly but not the one with a positive look on it? You’re not actually concerned you just want to nitpick lol. You do you, but at the end of the day only God knows our heart.
@@jadonsvd how can you say only God knows the heart and then assume why I didn’t reply to another comment? Your own point conflicts your words. And how can you have such a religious response after first bashing me? You’re showing your fruit.
I don't get her right hand and whole arm technique for that matter in her playing. It seems Instead of playing Bass, she's taking it out on her Bass. 😅

gosto demais de escutar tanto pelo timbre como pra ver como algumas musicas estao sendo tocadas ai fora, continue trazendo mais!!
The whole team works so well together... Even if things don't go right 100% of the time you all pick it up and keep going. Great job
thank you so much!!!

@@citylights2765 I will check it out. I don't know why I feel like this but I just don't like it 😅
I play guitar and bass, as a bass player, I predominantly play bass without a pick, but depends on the song……
Her bass playing sounds shite honestly
🔥🔥🔥

Would love to see how you use the AKAI to control racks :D

Lol 😂 1:39 show of to much technology for you 😂
😂 Leave the strings intact😂😂 Nice work anyway.
I need a bass rig rundown asap rocky
What drive are you using?
Hello, good morning, good afternoon and evening, I'm from the church in Brazil, I'm not going to put this on my stereo😊
Natalia, what do prefer? Bass, keyboard or guitar?
My main instrument is EG, but I love playing bass!!
pedal board?
I’m using the Cali76 (compressor), micro synth and the aguilar tone hammer!!
Where is this.. Livestream
Can you tell me who plays the electric guitar on RUclips?
What pedals do you use?
I’m using the Cali76 (compressor), micro synth and the aguilar tone hammer!!
@@NataliaMafra can you please show the set up for your pedals? And what subsequent is that? . Thank you
There is a lot more going on in the bass range than what she is playing. I guess it is all that equipment adding stuff?
Is she using a pick?
Nothing wrong with using a pick on bass. Most pro's know this. It's just a tool.
Overall the music was fantastic but I don't like the sound of the bass being picked or strummed specially during worship. Just my opinion
Making that guitar speak Jesus

I'm guessing bass isn't your main instrument?
come on man you dont have to say that
Ese bajo suena horrible.
kind of distracting, hope is a rehearsal, also no need to hit the strings so hard, try economy of motion
Necestia un poco más de control en esa mano derecha.... muy sucio.... inconsistente....
pouca pegada no baixo. muito agressivo nas batidas das cordas

I think it's because she's a musician first, guitarist second, bassist third.
ese bajo con uña suena horrible , suena como una lata
Boring music playing!
