Downloaded iOS 18 last night on my 13 pro max and CarPlay no longer works on my car. It worked fine before iOS 18 but now it only works if I delete it the connection from my car and phone and repair. But when I turn the car off the problem starts again. Anyway to delete iOS 18 and go back to 17?

Voice control doesn’t not work when saying play, pause etc for music. It works for everything else you said. Any idea why music commands aren’t working?
I may have a 2010 Mazda car that doesn’t have CarPlay but luckily I work somewhere (redacted name) where I drive cars around (all of them have CarPlay), CarPlay is fire
I wish the side bar would be the same for all cars with Apple Carplay. Mine is still on the side after updating it today. & when are we supposed to be able to change the app colors on Carplay??
I was hoping that Apple would add features based on the type of car you're driving. For example, when driving a gasoline-powered car, it would show gas stations along your route. But, if you're driving an electric car, it would, instead, show charging stations along your route. EV route planning would have been sweet as well.
Is it me, or did they make the album art larger to take up the right side of the screen? Thanks for the review, I think mine connected faster as well, aftermarket system... Oh I will try the voice commands!! thanks! Oh I will put the sirens on as well, I wonder if a song is playing it what will happen...
since at started using carplay on ios 18 i have an issue. i’m listen to music,then i receive a phone call and after the call it goes back to the music but no sound comes out
The Vocal Shortcuts feature WILL cause problems with music play on iPhone and on Car Play. DO NOT USE THIS FEATURE if is interferes with music and / or Car Play.
My Tahoe was wireless Apple CarPlay now it won’t work unless I plug it in I’ve deleted and forgot the device on my phone as well my truck but I can’t figure out how to make it wireless again
Still can’t figure out how you got The sidebar to be on the bottom of the screen. My screen is probably bigger than that and it’s still on the right side.
I don’t have sound recognition in CarPlay either and I’m on a 13 Pro Max. I’m thinking apple has restricted it to the 15 models which is Kinda disappointing.
@@asheera.4535 I thought a 13 would have it. Also with the Apple Watch there’s no audio thru the watch speakers on a series 9 looks like only the 10. That is only a software update because I got a radio app that uses the watch speakers . It’s all just a ploy to get you to upgrade.

Yes they did it for some reason but it looks better being a bit bigger
Same question how did you put menu on bottom instead of side?
It depends on the size of your screen. If it’s big enough it will automatically place the menu on the bottom. If not, it will just be in the side.
