A couple of questions: How do you use step 6 and/or 7? On dry hair before blowdrying? Or after the blowdry? And does either work as a heat protector? Also - Can one do step 1 & 2 from home? Why are those steps only done in the salon? I have color in my hair as well as a keratin treatment - is it safe to use the olaplex system on hair that has a keratin treatment? or can it remove the keratin? I currently am using step 0, 3, 4, & 5
I like to use 6 when my hair is wet right after a wash and a little bit of 7 almost every morning when my hair is dry in between washes. No 6 is amazing my favorite from the whole system though, I can see immediate results and can even brush through my bleached hair wet after applying it
But now it comes in a spray bottle, not misting but a fairly concentrated stream, it does seem to migrate into your mouth and nose, I can taste it and it's almost left like a film in my mouth, not pleasant.
Hi! Very concise and informative 👌 I was told that to see the difference of improvement of the hair you need to do 1,2 in the saloon and then keep up the maintenance of the hair with N3. Will that be still worthy to use only N3 without salon treatment or actual 4,5 but use another shampoo, or it works only in the whole package? Thank u
Just found you ! You r the best ! So quick question ! I JUST got keratin treatment done at the salon 3 days ago ! Should I use all the steps or shampoo conditionee and oil will be enough?
The keratin seals the hair for about a week or two. No need to do any treatments until the cuticle opens again. Only wash and style hair until it opens again. Hope that helps
I have been using 4,5,6 every time for six months. My hair feels dry and almost rubbery, possibly a buildup? It feels like dry shampoo all over (which I don’t use any other hair products) Am I overusing? I’ve heard not to overuse but I don’t know why? I only wash my hair once a week so if I use a clarifying shampoo doesn’t that defeat the purpose? I’m so confused about how often to use these products. They feel great at first but seem to build up causing more dryness and breakage. My hair is damaged from heat than color.
I use this whole system besides the salon approved ones but notice breakage at the root in small places did I not out enough on my edges? I stop using it now I use Rice water moisturizer
Great question! I think technically it can replace one, especially if it’s has the ability to strength hair as it helps style. I will say you should def use a spray leave-in or detangler still before you brush it out after washing.
It's good for our hair too, Mary. I don't even know why he down played it like it's not that great for our hair and went straight for Mizani. Yes, there are differences between the textures but when it comes to repairing bonds...hair is hair. Look here on RUclips there are loads of reviews from African American women who love Olaplex.
I don’t like 0 u can’t put it in a spray bottle so u can literally only get maybe 2 uses out of it. Number #3 do u leave for 10 minutes? Wet and Dry hair or only wet? Can u sleep in it?
You can leave it in for a 10/20/30 min. It’s applies better wet because you have to rinse it out. K18 is a great brand you blow in to you hair. www.brickandmirrorbeauty.com/pages/search-results-page?q=K18
I recently had a platinum card foil done to my hair. I started with a level 3 faded black box dye and had red on top of it. It lifted pretty well. Unevenly. I have some blorange banding. But there are some parts of my hair that lifted to the point of being able to rival kahlessi in game of thrones. I noticed tonight that those parts are FRIED. Will olaplex be enough or do I need to add in more hydration? PLEASE HELP ME. 🥺
My hair isn’t damaged and I don’t bleach or use chemicals. But I do suffer from split ends. I wanted to know if I could just use N7 on my ends after my hair regimen to help with the bonds that I break from detangling my hair.
Hi! 7 will help slightly. But I would really focus on brushing gently before you shampoo, then again in the shower while you have conditioner in it. If you’re getting breakage while detangling you may be breaking your actually hair not just your internal bonds.
Do you think the shampoo is worth it alone and is it worth it to use it alone with no other Olaplex products? I bleached my hair about two years ago and now it’s back dyed to a brownish colour which I sited it about three months ago
@@nickmirabella1 I dyed my hair at the salon So I don’t know the brand I used the living proof restore shampoo before purchasing Olaplex shampoo I bought the Olaplex shampoo basically to help restore it from any damage... The living proof did a better job at hydration in my hair tho My question is Is This shampoo repairing my hair ?
I have very hard well water. My question is should I be using this No 4 and No 5 with gallons of bought water? I'm I wasting my money by continuing to us my well water to wash my hair?
You may want to get a clarifying shampoo to use every other week to get rid of the mineral build up in your hair .. This is a great one. www.brickandmirrorbeauty.com/products/sudzzfx-nyrvana-purifying-shampoo-10-1-oz
My hair used to be curly and I straightened it for a very long time and now I’m trying to get my curls back and I have no idea what to do or what to buy I don’t know if it would be worth it to go to the salon and get step one and two done on my hair or if I should switch out my shampoo and conditioner and use a weekly mask I don’t use heat anymore at all and just wear my hair as it is but I would like it to be more healthy and curly and I’m just not sure what to do
You will need the number 1. :-) its in the professional series www.brickandmirrorbeauty.com/products/olaplex-traveling-stylist-kit-for-all-hair-types-kit
Thank you for the advice 🙏 But thinks is very important to check up on what you are saying when you are making a video like this. Olaplex nr 0 should not be airborne, so people "don't put it in a spray bottle please 🙏
The number 8 just came out will you do a updated video ?
very informative explanation, thank you! ai was on the Olaplex website and was confused on what order to use.
Very helpful straight to the point without all the bs thanks
Excellent explanation.
Thank you for explaining all this!
This is brilliantly helpful. Thank you. My hair is so different after using 3,4 and 5 xxx
I’m glad it was helpful :)
You explain this very well. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
My hair is not color treated but it is prone to breakage and split ends any suggestions should I even use this brand?
Clear, concise and informative! Thanks so much-I had noooo idea how to use this stuff!!!
How often should you use the olaplex shampoo and conditioner? I wash my hair every other day.
Thank you so much for this video. Excellent explanation!

Great info. Just wanted to add: Olaplex does not advise putting Olaplex in bottles to spray. They do not want it airborne. FYI. Thanks!
Why can’t it be airborne ? I learned the trick from a client actually.
@@nickmirabella1 Good question. Not exactly sure why, they just don't recommend it.
People were breathing it in and they started coughing really bad. It's an irritant when breathed in.
@@nickmirabella1 it’s not good to inhale and when you make it airborne you tend to inhale when you spray.

Sure. The 3.4.5 is great all by themselves. :-)
@@nickmirabella1 thanks for the answer!
How do we use the No6 ? That was just a vague description of the 6 and 7

I had the same! I am very much curious to know if I did something wrong, because it’s supposed to work for all damaged hairtypes
To think I may not have had to shave my head if I had these!!
Def try the k18 it’s also amazing

I have No.6+7 , but I don’t know how much to use
I have fine/ medium length hair
How often do I do this process?
I would only do all the steps as needed for comprised hair. the 4 and 5 can be a permanent part of your hair routine.
Is this good for thick Afro texture hair?
its ok for thick afro texture .. but mizani is a great brand or that also
@@nickmirabella1 Mizani doesn't make a repairing product like this. We want to fix our hair too! 😆

I would just use the 4 then the 3 .. save the 0 for the next time you need to wash.
What about 8 and 9?
What’s the longest you can keep in 3 and 0 with out rinsing off?
Keep it in for like 20 min .

The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut it off. Nothing will heal split ends. Eventually it will stop splitting using the right products

Yes of course you can.
So if my hair is too dirty I would have to wash it and dry it first before applying number 0?
Yes
i thought olaplex company said NOT to put #0 in a spray bottle...please everyone, do your research before you go ahead .💕 ( yes i too am a stylist)
