Good instructional video. I had never heard of this product before. I followed your instructions and my hair is shiny and soft. I had watched some other videos, but yours was the best.
I have severely damaged my hair in the last month using the Dyson Airwrap😫 (Due to user-error I’m sure!) After deciding to accept my defeat, I returned the Airwrap and purchased the Supersonic instead. I came across this video and decided to purchase the Olaplex products you recommended. After following your instructions, I went to your blow-out video and you helped me in so many ways there as well! I definitely need some practice but my hair is bouncy and the Olaplex process gave me some amazing results. My before and after photos are pretty amazing! Wow! So very kind of you to say all that!! So sorry to hear about your damaged hair but I'm so happy to know that you found my videos to be helpful for you! Keep up with the Olaplex products, they really do make such a difference! The volume blowouts are tough 💪! Definitely a work out for sure! Thank you again for your comment, it means a lot Rachel!
Thank you so much for explaining the Olaplex products so that I could understand. I’ve stayed away from this brand beacause I didn’t understand it but now I do and I went this morning a purchased all seven products! I’m loving how my hair feels!😊
All of the other videos I tried watching had soooo much talking that I got bored (sorry 😬) but you really got right to the point and had a lot of very helpful info! Thanks again lady!!!
Such an amazing review! You went in-depth on every aspect from how to use, how often for the damage of your hair, how long they last and so much more, such a great review, really enjoyed it! (:

I’ve been gradually going blonde this last year and I’m excited to try this product. I was using the Redken blonde shampoo and conditioner and it’s really good but I have heard awesome things about Olaplex on having it being a great hair repair product. Thank you so much for putting this video out it was very helpful!
Holy crap! I just bought everything on Sephora.. and your hair looks incredible… I feel better now. Thanks. My hair breaks after having my baby 5 years ago and never grew back.. it breaks after about 5 inches.. I’m pretty excited to possibly get my hair back 🤞🏼
The number of applications: I wash my hair once every 5-10 days; this would mean if I had very damaged hair, I’d be using Olaplex EVERYTIME I WASH! In addition, my medium density waist-length would go thru a bottle of #0 and #3 in two-three applications! Sometimes I can make #8 last 3 washes…. I loved your vid! But I wish you’d clarify between times per week vs. times per wash sessions. Us long, thick-ish gals usually don’t wash frequently…. If we have healthy/ color-treated hair 😂 I use Olaplex about once every 2 months. Yes, it is a pain in the ass 😂 But you’re right about 6! My level 1 hair turns bouncy and voluminous as f*ck…. And I LOVE the UV protection and feel of my hair after 7! But 1,3, & 8 run out SO QUICKLY! Thank you for this vid! But I’d LOVE to see a demo on long hair. If you need a volunteer…. 😂
You explained this so well! Rather than just telling us the steps, you showed us exactly how to do it step by step !! Thank you so much. Very helpful ! BTW do you think number 9 serum is needed or do you think it's the same as the bonding oil?
Thank you very much for your explanation. Super. My hair must be clean before doing it? I do not want to loose my curls, I do not blow dry my hair. Thank you
I have very fine hair and a shit ton of it. I used almost half a bottle of 0 on my dry hair. Holy crap. Thanks for the video. I can’t afford to waste any product.
@@StylesBySummer Initially I wanted 6 & 7 only, but you convinced me to get 0 & 3 because my hair is very damaged. At the end of the video I decided to buy the whole set 😄.
Very good! Thanks for explaining precisely.😊 How about my purchasing 0, 3 & 8, then using my own moisturizing shampoo & conditioner 🤔 (I do have to buy groceries!) 😮
Best video I have seen so far! Thank you for the explanation. I bought a set of 3, 6 and 7. Is that okay too without the 0? I thought I will start with only this first.
This was really well explained. I bought the whole set 0, 3 and 8. Unfortunally I think my hair is too far gone, (diy box coloring 2 times in a week, my hair is just dry and dead at the ends) it literally did nothing for my hair. I've only used it once though. Can't expect a miracle in 1 try I guess xD. I'm going to realllyyyyy use the full routine 2 times a week, keep that up for a month. Maybe then I'll see a change. If not....OFF WITH THE HAIR! xD
Such an amazing video! 😍 I've been eyeing the New OLAPLEX 4 IN 1 mask... What you think... I saw a video here on RUclips from girl comparing n8 and the 4 in 1...what you think?
Great job! Best video I have watched. The visual demo really helped. What do you do though, when your hair starts feeling dry or rubbery coated like a dry shampoo? I’ve been using 4 5 and 6 , no other products, for 6 months and have never used 0 and 3. Is it possible to use too much / too often? I only wash my hair once a week.
hello! Is it okay to just use 4&5 (none of the other products)? If it is, should i strictly use them or should i throw in a different shampoo/conditioner throughout the week? I would say my hair is moderately damaged from color treatment
You don't need them to be your every time you wash your hair shampoo and conditioner, so it's good to mix it up with another brand. If you are wanting most repairing products out of the line get 0 and 3. You're hair will get more benefits from them.
If you mix olaplex 1 with water... can you keep any leftover for a week or so or do you have to mix it fresh with water each time? If you have a lid on it of course?! Please please reply! Thanks!
I got highlights at the salon, but some hair strands are clearly damaged (they are stretchy). In the salon they didn't used the olaplex nr 1&2. Will it help my hair, if I use nr 0&3 now? Or are nr 0&3 only useful, when the nr 1&2 were used in the bleaching process?
I have the 4P. For my silver/grey hair to help with yellowing. I like it. But can't figure out which conditioner be best for my natural silver/grey çurls. Usually only talk about blonde girls.
Great video. I have hair similar to yours and have been using the 4 and 5 but the day after washing my hair it seems like it’s coated in something - do you think it’s because of what you said about the shampoo being too heavy for finer hair?
Possibly! I would opt to only use both 4 and 5 on a weekly to twice a week basis. Not sure how often you wash your hair. I do my Olaplex run through usually on Sunday nights bc I'm off on Mondays, so any possible heaviness I might get is not an issue.
It's supposed to be clean hair. If my hair is not super dirty I will just apply it to my hair and not wash first. Great video! But you didn’t mention the 4 in 1 moisture mask .. it is the pro mask .. I recently picked that up .. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 💗🕊💪🎶🍾
@@StylesBySummer Hi ! I have not used 8 .. i have 1&2 and figured I’d pic up the pro version.. i do have 6 now and the “oil” on the way 😜 ( i wish they’d go by names not numbers.. So confusing! ) ❤️🕊💋
Hey there. Your vedio popped up in my RUclips feed. Could you please help me out with choosing the right products? My hair is natural. No color, no bleach. My natural hair type 1C low porosity. I do have to blow dry some and I do curl it some times. It is dry. I don't want to use silicones that are not water soulutable. Do you know of anything that would be good for my hair? Which would be best out of living proof or oplax? I've heard that some people have trouble with their hair being more dry and falling out with oplax. If you would help me out here I would highly appreciate your expert advice. Thanks
It's very important to use #8 with the other Olaplex products. Olaplex is mostly made of of strengthening/repairing products that often will not leave your hair feeling soft as much as others. That's why #8 is important to add in because it is more moisturizing and will balance out the repairing aspect of the other products. Olaplex is going to be a better choice if you're looking to repair your hair. If you are looking for more moisture I am not really familiar with any of living proofs moisturizing products. But Olaplex 8 you can not go wrong with!
@@StylesBySummer thank you for your response. I live in a dry hot climate. I have 1C low porosity hair. Glyercin and portion is my enemy. Silicone that does not wash out easily is my enemy too.
It's not that it will stop hair loss, but the products will build strength and help prevent breakage which would help with less hair lost. But if you've never bleached you hair you are probably not experiencing as much breakage as one who lightens their hair on a more regular basis.
@@StylesBySummer I suffer from a massive hair loss since I had COVID-19. Something is definitely broken with my hair, cause it is shedding all over. Maybe you can make a video a bout hair loss and ways to prevent it.
@@gigiroyal4610 I have had a few clients and friends have the hair loss from Covid. It did stop for them all eventually. I would get a scalp spray. Nioxin, Milkshake and Bondi Boost have good options to help balance it while your shedding is going on. Vitamins too. Hopefully it stops shedding soon!! ❤️
@@gigiroyal4610 You are not alone! There are many Facebook groups dedicated to this. The first one that comes to mind is First Covid, the Hair Loss. HTH!
What about us curly hair girls? I did everything u said in video and my curly hair was very soft but looked terrible with all the frizz?.should I use gel and curling cream as last steps. If so this is ALOT of products on my hair and a lot of money. Can u make a video using olaplaex on curly hair and show how to style it please
If you don't have a build up hair hairspray and dry shampoo I think it's fine. But if you are heavy with product in-between washes the hair needs to be washed prior.
Hey i have fine dry and very frizzy hair, i have been told that i have high porosity hair i trained the entire olaplex product for six times as u show I'm ur video but it didn't work out, can you suggest other solution ?
I would try prepping with a clarifying shampoo if you have not done one before? I like Paul Mitchell Shampoo 2 or Kristin Ess Clarifying. Both aren't to harsh. And I would recommend using something a touch more moisturizing than Olaplex. It is a great line but those who need desperate moisture it can lack. Redken Allsoft is great for moisture, Moroccan Oils Hydrate as well. Pravana's Polish and Reunite is one of my fav styling products to for manageability!

Heyy , can i only use number 6 ? Like will i see results if i only use olaplex number 6 as it is very expensive and i feel like number 6 is the most convenient option for m. Plss reply i need answers
Olaplex has said the products, 0 and 3, stop working in your hair after 30 mins. It's not going to hurt it if it stays on longer but it's not going to work any better.
do you use 0 with 3 and then 4 and 5 together once a week? and then another time in the week 0 with 3 and then rinse with 4 and then 8? or should you just do 0 and 3, rinse this out with water and then use 8 without 4? Also do you use the 6 and 7 before drying on toweldry hair? or do you also use 7 after styling? do you also use the 6 and 7 the time you use 8? or is that not necessary? I heard that on the days that you don't wash your hair, you can also use 7 every day after styling? is this correct? Do you have any tips for waking up nicely styled with your hair? I unfortunately have to style my hair every day. because it is so bad after sleeping… my hair is really broken. so I've been debating whether to try these products for a while now. so i'm watching youtube videos. BTW: I always style my hair with the steampod on the lowest setting thank you for answering all my questions! it would be very nice, because then I know more. and restore my hair optimally!
Once a week if you're hair needs it, do 0 and 3 which would be washed out with 4 and use 5 for conditioner. If you want to use 8 in place of 5 that is completely fine.
Hands down, the best Olaplex video I’ve seen! Thank you for taking the time to walk us through the entire line and how to use it.

Can you tell us how to use protein treatments like aphogee with this system?
I'm not familiar with that product, but with any protein system you want to alternate some sort of moisture with any strength building product.
My hair is thin and fine and super soft. Is this a product for my type of hair?
You might find it a little heavy but it is a great line. Are you experiencing a lot of damage or just minor?
Can I use 0 in the hair dye’s like number 1 ? If so how much can I use in the dye ?? ❤️ thank you..
Only 1 is formulated for putting in color.
I have #8 and Love it. No I do not use it all the time because it’s heavy ❤ 3:13
Interesting that you find it heavy. I love it so much because I feel like it's one of the only masks that don't weight my hair down!
I do my Olaplex run through usually on Sunday nights bc I'm off on Mondays, so any possible heaviness I might get is not an issue.
i wash my hair twice a week lol so this shampoo is not for me
Thank you! Really great video and info! :) Happy holidays!
You as well!
I have coconut oil on my hair, which I leave it overnight . Can I still use number zero and number three or should I wash my hair and then do this?
So do you apply #0 over clean or dirt hair.?
It's supposed to be clean hair. If my hair is not super dirty I will just apply it to my hair and not wash first. Can olaplex fix virgin bad dry dull hair which I have without heating or chemical treatment
Is oleplex products recommended for telegen efluvium
I am not super familiar on that topic
Great video! But you didn’t mention the 4 in 1 moisture mask .. it is the pro mask .. I recently picked that up .. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 💗🕊💪🎶🍾
I have not used that one. Do you like it over 8?
@@StylesBySummer Hi ! I have not used 8 .. i have 1&2 and figured I’d pic up the pro version.. i do have 6 now and the “oil” on the way 😜 ( i wish they’d go by names not numbers.. So confusing! )
❤️🕊💋
Hi. Lovely video.
Can it help hair loss?(never bleached my hair)
It's not that it will stop hair loss, but the products will build strength and help prevent breakage which would help with less hair lost. But if you've never bleached you hair you are probably not experiencing as much breakage as one who lightens their hair on a more regular basis.

I suffer from a massive hair loss since I had COVID-19.
Will numbers 0 and 3 penetrate dirty or product laden hair, or should it be applied to clean hair?
If you don't have a build up hair hairspray and dry shampoo I think it's fine. But if you are heavy with product in-between washes the hair needs to be washed prior.
@@StylesBySummer thanks!
I’m not a professional hairstylist, can I put in a couple drops of Olaplex #0 on my color mixed before I color my hair?
It's not going to add any value, it's best to be done the way they recommend.
Question is olaplex 4 in 1 work the same as all these?
@@StylesBySummer no i did clarify shampoo it distorted my hair
Do u have insta so I can send a picture of my hair please
@@khaledaxeldjebbari8035 it's stylesbysummer
I just bought # 3 . I have SUPER fine pixie. I think I might have put too much on. Any suggestions !
Start out with a little and you can always use more!
@@StylesBySummer ty!
can k ask what is the ame of the treatment if i go to salon
Well done!! Perfect content on this. I’m struggling to grow my out my pixie cut!! Grrrr
Will get 0 3 and 8 😀
Those are my favorites!
U said 3 only works on damp hair,so, should I dampen my hair 10min after applying No.0 or will it be damp enf already
It will be damp enough
So Is No 8 supposed to be a leave in conditioner??
No it is a mask you rinse out. Be sure to follow me on my new channel Summer Beauty ruclips.net/channel/UCl4iYvuUhw3DIRyYtV1Twig that now hosts this type of content as Styles by Summer is strictly hair cutting tutorials.
What if you gave gel do you wash out first with water then apply 0
Heyy , can i only use number 6 ? Like will i see results if i only use olaplex number 6 as it is very expensive and i feel like number 6 is the most convenient option for m.
Plss reply i need answers
You can certainly use it on its own! You're not going to get the most repairing benefits from it but it's a wonderful styling product
Styles By Summer is it also a heat protectant?
Styles By Summer is it also a heat protectant?
Hi Summer, may i know is possible to let the 0 sit on the hair for overnight?
Olaplex has said the products, 0 and 3, stop working in your hair after 30 mins. It's not going to hurt it if it stays on longer but it's not going to work any better.
@@StylesBySummer I see. Thanks for the information.
Great video. Does hair need to be clean before using 3?
3 is to be applied to damp hair. It's best on clean hair, as long as there's not a ton of product on the hair I don't always wash before I apply it.
Thank you
I have frizzy hair and I useed 1,2,4,5,6 and 4in1 nothing change.
Sorry to hear that! While they do say they help tame frizz I definitely feel they are meant most to strengthen the hair overall.
do you use 0 with 3 and then 4 and 5 together once a week? and then another time in the week 0 with 3 and then rinse with 4 and then 8? or should you just do 0 and 3, rinse this out with water and then use 8 without 4?
Also do you use the 6 and 7 before drying on toweldry hair? or do you also use 7 after styling?
do you also use the 6 and 7 the time you use 8? or is that not necessary?
I heard that on the days that you don't wash your hair, you can also use 7 every day after styling? is this correct?
Do you have any tips for waking up nicely styled with your hair? I unfortunately have to style my hair every day. because it is so bad after sleeping… my hair is really broken. so I've been debating whether to try these products for a while now. so i'm watching youtube videos.
BTW: I always style my hair with the steampod on the lowest setting
thank you for answering all my questions! it would be very nice, because then I know more. and restore my hair optimally!
Once a week if you're hair needs it, do 0 and 3 which would be washed out with 4 and use 5 for conditioner. If you want to use 8 in place of 5 that is completely fine.
@@StylesBySummer is the 8 ok right after the shampoo on wet hair in the shower
i got #3 , 4 and 5 for christmas! should i use #3 on dry hair then wash it out with 4 or apply to wet hair then wash it out? as i don’t have 0
also when using number 4 on its own along with 5 will i wash my hair twice with 4 ?
You want to get your hair damp with 3, let it sit. Rinse 3 and wash with 4. I usually wash my hair 2x with any shampoo. Hope that helps!
@@StylesBySummer okay i’ll try that, thanks sm
