Awesome review, I've been thinking about purchasing this very product. I was looking at this nailer at home depot, wish the store employees had a better understanding of what they sell. Which is why I set about finding a review of this product...and I found you guys, glad I did. Your review was professional (loved the humor) and well thought out. Great Job, I'll be back looking for more videos, blessings gentlemen!
just got my self a dcn692, and I'm not too happy with it.... it won't sink the 3-1/4 nails all the way on 2nd speed... only works good with short nails like 2-3/8... also used 4.0ah battery with a full charge
Nick...what material are you using it on? I have never had an issue sinking 3 1/4" nails with mine. I would suggest calling DeWalt as there may be an issue with that nailer. They have great warranty service.
+Nick Annenkov I have a Paslode and I hate buying the gas. But the gas does go a long way and it has a ton of power. Compareable to any air gun. I am worried about trading out to the dewalt for that reason. But I have dam near all other Dewalt tools made, so its tempting!
I tried one this week, doesn't hold enough nails, top heavy, a real PITA when the battery gets below 50%. Can't stand up to framing walls. Gets hot, drains fast. Can't sink a 3" nail in #2 yellow pine. Fur only. If you want a cordless to use on a roof for limited uses, fine. It's not a replacement for an air nailer, NOT EVEN CLOSE.
I don't think anyone is saying it is as fast or holds as much as an air nailer. BUT...I prefer it to my Paslode. I use it more then my air nailer. Still works great!
Ok into soft woods . Try it on 25mm hardwood ply or into oak nails bend or jam . I use mine on any soft wood construction but always use my paslode for more dense materials.
I bought this for small jobs and it's been a big disappointment my nailer will not sink a 3 1/4 passload nail all the way into 2x framing lumber on a fully charged 5ah battery
We're medium-experience "city people" working on a small cabin, and I've been looking for the right battery-powered nailer. Ordered this one in part because your review is thorough and just plain *good*. Really appreciate your demonstration, and the editing is great!
Do you know that Dewalt Nailer has 3 speeds, not two? One is not accessible from outside, it's the lowest speed that is hidden. Actually the speed switch inside has 3 positions but the plastic slider only two. If you remove the plastic slider with the small nail and large nail drawing you can use all 3 speeds.
Nice !!. i do hear some voices here and there that say this gun sometimes doesn't drive the nail all the way in and you still need to hammer it. i know some time hardened wood is like concrete, but did you ever encounter that? im still not out to go for this or a air-powered nailer. its not cheap, so i want to have the right one. gonna do some framing, with the 90mm nails. Dont wanna spend the cash to be let down.
Hey guys nice review! What brand nails are you guys using for this framer I got some B&C Nails 3" and I don't k ow if it's the nails or what but the deealt will not sink them all the time it will sink like 4out 10 I ordered some Dewalt nails they should be here 2marrow
Hi thanks for the Video. My Question is if there is any tool or cover for the end of the nailer? By firing the nails, the surface of the wood will be damaged, and i wonder how this effect could be avoid. Thx Tobias
Just ordered dcn692 with 2 x 5ah batteries.. Cant wait to try it out.. Thabks for video reviews guys 👍

I have used this for framing and sheeting. No issues.
To my knowledge this was not designed to shoot nails into oak. It’s a framing nailer.

Can’t get this to sink a nail. Bends them all even when maxed out on depth setting
What material are you shooting it into?

We use Paslode nails with no issues. What kind of wood are you going into?
is that the gun i would use for wood fence?
Just regular 2x4 from HD Doug fur I think, I was just trying it out since I barely got it yesterday
