It's not supposed to. Only keratin. Back in the day, the product didn't matter. If I asked for a Brazilian Blowout (later called a silk wrap), I would get my hair washed with Redkin products, Chi heat protestant was added then have my hair blown out with a round brush, one pass on each section with the flat iron before a wrap with plastic wrap and 15 mins under the dryer, 10 on hot and 5 on cool. I would leave with Asian feeling hair (naturally 3c with 4a/b in my crown) but my hair would revert if I sweat or wet it. Probably what's in the shampoo is pro grade keratin which coats the hair strand to repel moisture. But it's a useless process, really, because as your hair grows out, your roots are virgin so they will revert....and that's the main part we worry about with the silk wraps..the roots!😂
This treatment is a long processe tho its called Brazilian keratin tx.you have to wash hair apply treatment ,blow dry then spray another part of treatment flat iron hair 3x each section.Then rinse hair with water then blow dry again. I used to work at a salon and this was popular tx for curly hair but all of them said it damaged there natural hair after the treatment wore off but not surprised to much heat to many steps.

Beautiful but I doesn't use anything on my hair I have just straight natural curly hair no need for nothing on it might work for you but not all her hair are gorgeous though❤
