Try using Aveda products for straightening, section the hair to dry and tong, use tangle tamer brushes to detangle, use really SLOW passes of the tongs and chase with a brush. That will really help you to preserve the look for longer.

Why would they know how to do the hair of someone who is not from their country especially when their country is no where near diverse? You’d rather make this an issue instead of being realistic and seeing the world for what it is. The United States is not the entire world and the world doesn’t revolve around it. Not every place is known as a “Melting Pot” of different cultures. Not every place is diverse and will know how to deal with something they’ve never experienced. Not to mention you were dumb enough to say “there are two types of hair in this world” Gtfoh. There are well over 2 types of hair that 7 billion people have. Stfu and be real for 5 seconds, please and thank you 🥴🤦🏽‍♀️

Having big hair can be a compliment as saying you have a lot of healthy fuller hair that makes it look big rather than thin low density hair. Ppl with thin straight hair still uses methods such as “teasing” their hair so their hair can look more fuller or bigger. I’m not dismissing that we get made fun of for our hair cuz we still do but in this case here I don’t believe he was being passive aggressive. If he thinks of her hair negatively I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t bother doing her hair, he admitted that he doubt he could do it at first but still tried which shows he actually had interest in doing her hair and shows how much passion he has for doing hair in general.

Never in my life did I have any idea what black girls go through with their hair. My hair has always been limp, not curly, not straight, thin and basically ugly and unmanageable. But this hair is so different. I have a little granddaughter who is black. She has the cutest little springy hair I've ever seen and my white daughter does wonders with it. This is such an eye opener for me.

My daughter's hair was crazy one morning, I was running late for work and told my husband it was his job to fix her hair for preschool 😬,, he did what he could I suppose. At work I was absent minded thinking of my baby's hair, a costumer asked and I told her my worries,,, she understood, smiled and gave me advise about products and tricks for my daughter's hair (pink lotion was the thing many years ago)
I followed her advise and it became easier for my daughter and I when doing her hair.
I knew nothing about very curly- really full hair,, that lady was an angel in disguise 😊

Not to mention they used brushes on wet hair. Brushes on wet black hair is a definite no. Yes you are in Korea so you don't have access to a black salon, this is the perfect time to get to know your hair and take care of it yourself. Your hair is too beautiful to keep going there. DIY.... Very little steam and her hair was still pretty kinky after like 5 passes lol I was impressed at the final results, but wasn't surprised she said her hair was already reverting back on her way home.
