Most important thing learned: 1.- Bass, making a "melody" to pass from note to note. Make its sound like a bass player it's actually playing it. Amazing trick. 2.- great trackspace trick to clean up reverb!!! I love it!! 3.- less is more, love the see the track literally fits itself when you clean up everything you don't need. No need for additive EQ overall.
GOOD GRIEF! Zack you are the *master* of recreation! I love how simple the session actually looks at the end; shows that, once again, songwriting is more important than having a melody that’s too complex!! 🔥
it's probably the biggest thing I personally take from remaking these...just how simple things can be when its all said and done. It almost always comes down to simple, but great songwriting. That makes everything else easier!
Pretty New in The synth world and stuff. In my setup a use a cheap reverb pedal, and I really wanted to understand how it makes that “far away” sound. You just explained that perfectly! Thanks!
Subbed! It sounds exactly like the original song! I loved your explanation too! It’s great how you go into details and show everything. Absolute fire 🔥 keep up the great work!!! 💪💪💪
Thank you for this! So insightful. I always think the biggest producers use really complicated methods but in reality, they just know what they want with very little. Edit: 17:25: I love this! So clever.
You're welcome!! And just wanna say we really appreciate you watching our vids ❤. I love what you mentioned about the biggest producers...there's a great line I heard one time that I always use now because it's the truth: Those who are advanced, are just REALLY good at the fundamentals.
@@TheCosmicAcademy You did a brilliant job breaking it down! As an aspiring producer, you’ve helped me and videos like this are super useful. I find it incredible you can listen to a song and replicate it so accurately. So talented 👏 You have my subscription.
@@dullastonishment ❤much, much love!! I don't want to be pushy and plug another video of mine 😂 but if it is something you're interested in...I made a whole video on how I learned how to do that. How to listen to songs and remake the patches that you hear. It all stemmed from this 10-day sound design challenge I did. In the end the final day...you have to remake a song by ear. It was hard as hell but that kickstarted everything for me. Helped me a ton! Here's the video if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/jBZpj0DR9io/видео.html
Thanks!! There are no true “rules” for panning! It’s more about using panning to create spacing and separation between sounds in the mix. It’s a good topic though, gonna add it to my list of upcoming vids! Can def talk about it and show some examples 👊
Great job ! Quick question, I noticed that you are using, Split Stereo Track using Split Stereo Pan Mode, on both kick & Bass. Im confussed, so maybe you can help me explaining a bit? :D.
So although it’s on split pan mode it’s not actually panning. It’s still just the original left and right channel in their default positions! If you do want to learn a little more about the difference between those two pan modes check this out…I explain it in detail here: ruclips.net/video/lDz3NxtTgbU/видео.html

quick tip: in the serum wavetable editor you can just drag down the fundamental, you dont need to go to the menu and click remove fundamental.
Awesomeeeee addition/tip! I recently saw someone do this in a tutorial and was like 😮 haha

awesomeeee! happy it helped and we appreciate you watching! :)
Not as perfect as i thought but closes one on youtube. You're missing the huge 'pluck' modulation on the main synths, which gives it that SHM vibes.
agreed! came close but couldn't quite nail that sharper pluck lead!
@@TheCosmicAcademy Always that one person to nitpick. You're a legend for doing this. Good karma train

Can this be done with the ableton samples? I' just starting out and I want to do this remake myself to learn!!
Do you mean stock ableton sounds and instruments? I’d imagine so!! Would obviously require a different approach though!
