I think of it like an orchestra - they can't fix it with EQ or compression, and the reverb is decided by the room they're in - but it sounds great because the composition and arrangement.
bro this video is absolute nuts, i learned so much concepts i had to rewatch it and write everything down and damn these things have been under my nose this whole time and they are indeed the thing that makes the difference
This is a important point. I love the sound of lush and complex reverb and delay...but in a song/mix I litterally just use the basic bread and butter reverbs and synced delays lol. I almost never touch the really "cool" sounding plugins or presets, I just dial in a touch of the basics. Then again, I don't make ambient or techno (type) music.
In the end when you spread the sound with unison and then wider. That effects the mid of the sound. Should that be something to worry about, or is that fine when it’s a sound layer? I get that it depends but is there like a rule? 70% it’s fine to do kinda rule lol?
DO NOT stack kicks! I've seen "pro" producers do this, you should consider in adding this. Even on some channels with a ton of subs on YT....SMH🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
@@filipbasic2893 phase alignment/cancellation, EQing, dynamics processing to mention a few, in addition it's isn't necessary when you already have a kicks who cover those dynamics, you should know what you have and what you dont, regarding dynamics

Thank you for this amazing video! What's the song at the beginning in the background?
You’re welcome! 👊♥️ it’s a royalty free song from artlist.io but I had it saved without the original song name!
@@TheCosmicAcademy I got it :( Well thanks anyway :)
Is it bad that I liked the sound of version 1 better? I get the points you're demonstrating though.
Not at all! Haha listening back after recording I actually said the same thing 😂 I should’ve made thenxample more drastic
I liked the sustained lead a bit more. It was fuller and more emotional than a short pluck
Great video
Thanks ♥️👊
In this model, we present our newest feature: blinking occurs when hands go up. ^^
The future: *zack begins moving hands with every word he speaks*
version #1 was like 9000 times more interesting
Finally a great tutorial that actually used a good edm track 🤣
