I kinda wish he’d bring up the fact that he too watched his father die in his arms, but I guess Byron’s too obscure for the people who haven’t played FE4.
Poor Sigurd, he was a shonen protagonist stuck in a world filled with Game of Thrones level of political discourse. Fun fact both the song of ice and fire came out at the same time as Genealogy of the holy war.
@Wings of Winter tbf Game of Thrones isn't the most politically complex out there (I compared it to GOTS because most games pale in comparison the world building is simple af), I found it easier to understand than the dissolving of the Han Dynasty and Three Kingdoms. Sigurd was a shonen protagonist in a way he just fought most of his problems, instead of solving them any other way and blindly following Arvis like your average shonen protagonist which aren't the brightest bulbs. I haven't played Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn to form a basis of comparison but can you show how it's more politically compelling compared to FE4?

The nature of the Emblems is so intriguing. Sigurd, unique it seems among them, is aware of his own death. This implies this channeling or whatever of the original through the Emblem is pulled from some sort of afterlife. But then others, like Celica, seem to have no knowledge of their lives after the end of the game (as she was the queen of Valentia and claims to have no experience in rule beyond her vague princess memories).

Sigurd has the best support conversations on average among the emblems. You can tell the writers loved FE4.

What the fuck this is awesome.
That and also the fact that they need to get people to like him to sell that FE 4 remake
And his voice actor really sells it.
Honestly the one with Diamant is so missable as he is not naturally a cavalry
Probably because they have plan to remake FE 4 so their understanding of the character is still fresh *wink wink
This makes me want a Seliph Emblem even more now. Imagine the interaction between him and Sigurd when we battle him.

Chrom just got announced to be part of the DLC Expansion Pass, so I think there’s a real good chance that Seliph will be added later down the line.
