I have been doing CNC machines for more than a year and have been subscribed to your channel for a year. Now I'm watching these videos and it's nice to know that I understand what you're talking about here. My friend recently also bought a cnc machine and I show it to him. Your videos help me teach him how to choose the right cutters. Thank you.

I really appreciate your videos while learning beginners CNC engraving/cutting. Something I'd like to see is samples and "in action" B rolls. I've seen all these bits but not so much the types of projects each one is good for. I appreciate you telling us but I think there's more value to video with showing in action and results.

I am a brand new beginner at this CNC stuff. Wish I would have found your channel sooner. I purchased a ShopSabre along with Vortex tooling to get started. Lots to learn and it’s a bit easier (no pun intended) when there are great teachers like you. You lessen the learning curve by already been there and done that stuff.
I see that you are not to far from me, I an in the Victoria area.
Keep up the good work in your instruction videos.

Absolutely love your content, man. I'm learning a LOT! But - I'd love to hear you thru a dedicated microphone. Sometimes you sound a bit "roomy" and your voice gets lost, which can be hard to hear on laptop or phone speakers. We need to hear all that great info you're saying! Keep it up. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels.

The downcut bits are important to me to obtain a much cleaner cut near the surface where often wood ships are broken off by upcut bits.

Love your videos man very informative and thorough. I got the ShopSabre IS 408 a couple of months ago and am just now ready to dive into it. I notice you are speaking a lot to the smaller desktop and hobbiest cnc owners out there and that's cool, but there are a lot of us with larger tables that would love to hear you talk more specifically about those pro level tables. Just a suggestion bc i would watch everything you put out about the larger cncs like the SS IS series. Thanks for the great content. Im subbed and notified with your videos. Keep plugging!

“for my metric people out there”… Like 👍🏻😅
    P. S. I’ve just received my Onefinity Foreman Elite (my first cnc), and for some reason I’ve ordered .5” shank bits. Hope I’m not screwed 😅
I mean the spindle can take it (2.2kw pwncnc). The reason behind that was that a decent surfacing bit (2”+ cutting diameter) I could find was a .5” shank. Also for bowl/tray bits, same thing… the 1/4” ones seemed kind of thin/small. But for end mills I went with 1/4”. Most probably I’ll work on stuff requiring end mills. But also would flatten surfaces (table tops, desks, epoxy)… Now I’m thinking how often I would need to change the collets between the 1/4” and the .5” 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Video I would like to see: I am about to start making a boat so I would like to see a video on cutting plywood panels with a 1/4 inch bit. Both 1/2 and 3/4 inch plywood. Just straight cutting out parts. I am having a devil of a time finding out what speed to run my router and at what feed rate. I ASSUME depth of cut would be about 1/4 inch each time around (?).

Thanks for the video, question about the up-cut versus down-cut. My understanding is, it is the direction of the force the cutter applies to the wood that makes down cut better for small pieces. It pushes the work piece into the table which is more secure than the up-cut which tries to pry the work piece away from the table? What are your thoughts on this versus the chips securing the piece?
    Thanks.

Upcut bits are only good for aluminum or acrylics. plywood, mdf or wood will have a horrible surface finish with upcut, use downcut bit instead for any pockets and compression bits for cutting through completely.
