I wish there were uploads of those earlier TV clips.

The chap at around 4:00 with the red scarf, K.A.'s friend (Sir) Peter Quennell, who features in the former's Memoirs.
The Queens pub in Primrose Hill at the end
I’ve just read my first Kingsley book, and I am so smitten. What he says here in this documentary about writing about those who we loved, who have died is so poignant to me. Especially the bit about under appreciating them when they were alive. I look forward to reading more of his books. I just found two this morning in the secondhand book shop near me.
I've read every one of his novels, and he does have something unique.
Funny, you should reply just now. I’ve been reading somebody else and put his books down for a while. But last night I started reading the old devils , and all juiced up about him again.
One of the great 20th Century writers - character to burn
