    Kingsley Amis's books were the only books I ever bought (or could afford to buy!) in hardback. Could never wait for the paperback. I miss him.

    He poked fun at him at the junction where parts one and two met. But this was about Kingsley, they probably assumed that Martin would get a lot of coverage in the future, being one of, if not the biggest, writers in the UK at the time.
