  • The Toe Pincher Coffin is an iconic image that every Haunted House needs.
Here is a (mostly) step by step video that will show you how to make your own from a single sheet of plywood.
This technique doesn't require any special tools and utilizes some clever ways to join the angled sides without any complicated beveled cuts.
Please feel free to ask question in the comments and share any tips you might have as well.
P.S. sorry about the crappy lighting in this one, It was 100 degrees outside and I needed to keep the doors open.

The difference is basically one of design. Coffins are tapered at the head and foot and are wide at the shoulders. Caskets are rectangular in shape and are usually constructed of better quality timbers and feature higher standards of workmanship. According to Google

"A distinction is commonly drawn between "coffins" and "caskets", using "coffin" to refer to a tapered hexagonal or octagonal (also considered to be anthropoidal in shape) box and "casket" to refer to a rectangular box, often with a split lid used for viewing the deceased" - Wikipedia.
Also, a casket was originally considered a box for jewelry. Coffin is any box used for burying a body.

Im confused as to how you get a door and a back with your instructions --- your diagram only shows getting one or the other, unless I am mistakenly reading it.

Yeah, I know. It's coming. I ran into some unexpected challenges with the mechanical system on the spider.
