Learn how to build a DIY coffin to bring your halloween decorations to the next level! This entire project cost only $2 and was made of reclaimed wood!
Did I come across this in July while planning my Halloween decor? Yes. Are my neighbors going to be a little concerned watching my build a coffin in my yard in July? Probably. Do I regret any of this? No.
I built today for my wife's work to use, for their HalloZooween, and will build another one soon. I had no old fence pickets so used some cheap cedar fence pickets. It took about an hour to build and about an hour to stain the entire thing, I hinged the lid as well, they're going to put a fog machine inside of it. Thanks for the plans!
Thanks mate. Built this with the kids and it turned out great. We chucked a fog machine in there for Halloween and it was a hit. No idea where I’m going to store the damned thing but build was nice and easy
I just built one yesterday and it’s now sitting in my neighbour’s yard. Thanks for your video! You gave pretty simple instructions and it looks great! I put a bottom on mine but no lid.
I only stained the edge, not the whole coffin. This was a grey stain as our reclaimed wood was that colour. You may have to match a stain colour to your own wood.

What color stain is that?

Seems like a lot of work, but I’m sure it’s worth it.
Woodglut is nice for that.
I plan on building one, purely to sleep in it, no I'm not joking
