All the songs have good beat and melody, the vocals are so strong that you cant help belting out or blasting it whenever it is on the radio. My music taste has a wide range of songs and genres. I have a playlist on RUclips and they play after one another and it always puts me into good mood.

Thanks for your message and good question! I suppose we consider the question: "What is your favourite music genre?" as quite an unlikely or hypothetical scenario. Maybe you will be asked in an exam or at school, but as an adult, this situation is quite unlikely to occur, therefore it goes into the 2nd conditional. It like we are saying: "If I [was forced] to choose my favourite music genre, I would say ... classic rock and ballads." In real life no one would ever *force* you to choose just 1 favourite thing (like they are threatening you or something 😅), but we are having a bit of fun by imagining ourselves in this situation. - "If I [had to] pick my favourite type of pasta, I [would say]... penne." - "If I [was forced] to name my favourite singer from the 1980s, I [would have to say] ... George Michael." The 1st Conditional is used for situations that are *actually* likely to happen in your daily life. For example: - "If I have to go into town on the weekends, I always try and go early." - "If I have to bring some food to a party, I usually bring some potato salad." I hope that makes sense!

It's a good question and it might not be an inspiring answer, but the Cambridge IELTS Preparation books are a really good source for example tests, and their chapters on the nuances of the IELTS Reading Test section are excellent, especially the ones written by Pauline Cullen. I would also try to only find *official* IELTS Reading test passages to practise with. There are a lot of student-made or A.I generated ones out there that are not at the same level of real exams (they are either way to easy, or way too hard). Use the past passages from IELTS 15-16-17-18 etc. to make sure you are preparing effectively for your real test. Keep a vocabulary diary that you review often, read news, National Geographic, look up news about archaeological or psychological discoveries, and business news (especially if a business is doing well, or doing badly) as these are often topics of IELTS Reading passages too. I hope some of that helps!

Funnily though, almost every time I hear someone saying "They have a "high pitched voice" it usually means their voice is quite annoying 😄 But if you want to say that someone sings well, we can say: "They can [hit high notes]." "They have [an amazing range]." Mariah Carey is good example of this! She can hit very high notes and it's very impressive (not annoying!). Hope that makes sense!"
I do like pop music but I prefer lo-fi chill music for unwinding. I think everyone likes ballads 😂 for karaoke and mark definitely likes classic rock 🎸
