Thank you Kat and Mark, this lesson is awesome. SometImes, I do not understand completely an instruction or guideline, and I used to say, 'could you explain to me again? when 'Could you clarify the task for me again', sounds much more polite but at the same time, self secure. You do not give the impression you don't know what you're doing. Thanks a lot!
Accually, today i learn real polite way to communicate with my co workers.upto now I thought any how to tell my ideas but really it is not the way there are many soft ways. Thank you very nuch ny dearest courches.
You're very welcome! It's hard to find these kinds of polite / professional expressions in English textbooks, and often the softer the better (especially in the UK!).
I think the right communication is important on a daily basis as well, not only for working. Personally, It always stands up for me when someone communicates in a polite, respectful manner. Though not in a fake way :) Some generally have a double standard attitude, like that's ok if I talk with you rudely or directly, but if you make them taste their own medicine then it's a problem:-) We all have our problems, just being a bit nice does not hurt anyone:)
"Manners cost nothing"! I totally agree, if you can be kind and sensitive to others in the workplace, you should go far. "Kill them with kindness" is another phrase, which means you are so nice that people *can't* be rude about you 😉
Thank you teachers as always. I think I've been confused about the usage of "quite" in the sentence "I don't quite understand". I thought it means a lot or very much instead of meaning "completely". Very good to know! But if I actually get little understanding of the task, what are some polite and easy ways to express?
"Can I take a day off for personal reasons"? The boss: Are you sick? coworkers: Absolutely, no. We need you here tomorrow 😅🤭 Joke aside! Good, I love these classes.👏🏼
Hi there, I'm trying to look for the video in which you teach how to direct people to some desired location, which I viewed some times in the past. I kept scrolling up and down on your video list but could not find it. Could you help tell me how to go to that video, please.
@@highlevellistening Yes, it really is. Thank you very much for helping me out. I intended to keep digging for it sometime later when I have spare time. You are such a life savor🥰
It's okay! Now you know so many different ways to talk to your boss, colleagues / clients. Sometimes it's even good to be direct so there is no confusion or if something is serious and urgent.
Language is an art form. Even small changes can lead to different results. Today's lesson taught me very useful information.
We absolutely agree! These kinds of nuances are so important!

First what you are doing is appreciated. Kindly introduce some other materials.
