I use wood glue to glue the chip back in place, then clamp it and leave it overnight. Simply smacking it back in is a good temporary solution though lol.

Maybe for ppl skating awhile, or a particular rough ground. But if you're starting out learning pop shuvs don't cripple urself by using an unneeded crutch. Just learn how to pop.shuv. and catch with ur front foot. Popshuvs are such a good trick. They can look so damn stylish, right spot, right pop and catch. ✌ edit: all u youngsters look up Stevie Williams. Pfffff

I want to skateboard and only two days but I know everything I mean and two weeks. I don’t only thing, but the tricks are the only thing struggling to do.
I never have my boards chip not even Little chips. I’ve been skating element only for the past 4 or 5 months they are super durable and poppy. I just got a few of the bbs Mexico element decks and they are so good they are basically a deathwish or baker deck they are made at the same wood shop with the same wood and shape.
i just got my first pair of really good skateboard wheels and it rolls so well

You could even try putting it in a patch of grass and practice lifting up the nose a little while staying balanced
Ride around and little and “tic-tac” you’ll get it💯
There’s nothing wrong with wearing a helmet or pads it’ll give you more confidence then you can take them off when you’re more comfortable
Highly controversial method is to scooter for a bit and the muscle memory from that will help

You can also patch the chip with a little wood filler and sand it. Not perfect, but it helps!

Chip trick is crap but wax on the tail is a good trick for beginners. Best is to remove the chip and stick grip tape back over
