Thanks for featuring Tiny Towns and for donating to the WCS! I'm a bit biased, but Wormholes also has a quick-and-simple solo mode and comes out in a little over a week 😁
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for checking out this video, Peter! I didn't realize you had another game on the way but I just checked out the BGG page for Wormholes and it looks really fantastic! I'm really looking forward to finding out more about the game! 🪐 By the way, I just played Tiny Towns tonight for the 13th time and got a score of FOUR. (My high score is 35 so I don't think I'm totally hopeless!) 🤣 I haven't even had the game for a month and I've taught it to eleven people and taken it with me all over Pennsylvania! Thank you for designing such a fun, engaging, and accessible game!
I'm glad you were looking forward to it! Hope it lives up to your expectations! 😊 Tiny Towns is such a great game; I really enjoyed teaching it to my cousins this week! 🏡
Enjoyed your playthrough!!! 😊 I feel like this game would hurt my brain though LOL. Too much forward planning for me and I’d probably have AP. And then when the board starts to fill up from buildings I’ve placed poorly - that would give me anxiety. But watching you play it and plan it out is more relaxing and enjoyable because I don’t have to do all the thinking/planning 😊😊.
Thank you so much for checking it out, Bridget! 😊 It might seem a little anxiety- and AP-inducing, but it's such a simple, short, and low-stakes game that it never really feels that way! There's certainly some tension toward the end when your board starts to fill up but it's a lot of fun regardless and you don't feel like you botched something major or anything like that! (Again, it helps that it's such a short game!) I'm so glad you enjoyed watching the playthrough; I hope you get a chance to try the game for yourself sometime!
@@bridgetmartin4269 I can't wait to hear what you think after you get to play it! 🏡 I just played again tonight for the 13th time... and I did TERRIBLY! 🤣
Thank you for the comment! Am I going to bring Solo Play Sundays back? For sure! (Actually, I'm working on one for Mycelia!) 🍄 I have played Ark Nova twice but never solo. (I don't own that one!) I bet I would really enjoy that solo mode, though! 🐘
@@BoardGameDavei just saw you had more solo sundays not in the list, but in your videos haha. Checked those out, Amazing! If i were you if you do play Ark nova solo i do recommend with Arno. It also has an webpage so its easier then rolling dices ect. Its more fun then solo (for me) since solo has, just like wingspan, every round less turns. And Arno is just a second player. I absolutely love that game haha
@@SKH116 Thank you for checking out some other solo play Sundays! ☺ And yes, I've heard about the Arno variant on board game Facebook-if I get a chance to play Ark Nova solo I'll definitely try to use that variant! Sounds like fun!
Maybe a couple of suboptimal choices as you noticed yourself (probably playing while recording, explaining the rules and also trying to be funny all together is not the easiest way to get high scores 😅😆), but a solid game overall, Dave! 😊 Really enjoy Tiny Towns and city-building games in general (Quadropolis, Suburbia and San Francisco being some of my favorites). I actually never played the solo version, maybe I'll give it a shot one of these days.
You're absolutely right; it's tricky to play optimally when I'm distracted with all the things you mentioned! Hopefully that'll become less of an issue as I do this more often! (I've been prepping to do a Brass: Birmingham solo playthrough and I'm already very intimidated about the rules mistakes I might make along the way!) 🚂 I really enjoy city-building games as well, both board games and computer games! I'm not familiar with San Francisco; I'll have to check that one out! Thank you for your comment, Marco!

Of course! Thank you for spreading the word about Tiny Towns😁I'm pretty sure I hold the world's record lowest score at -14 - 4 isn't so bad!
@@petermcpherson15 The pleasure’s all mine! 🏡 And -14 points?! How on earth did that even happen?! 🤣 That does make me feel a lot better-thanks!
awesome, was looking forward to this playthrough, thank you

@@BoardGameDave just played solo today. I really liked it! Pretty quick and such a good puzzle! Thanks again. Keep up the good work! 👍
@@CandiceLikes So glad to hear that you enjoyed it! And I appreciate the update! Did you beat my score of 20? 😄
Amazing, just found you! Are you gonna bring this back? I really love it. You should definitely try Ark Nova (with Arno is more fun)
