Your play-throughs are always so good. Short and sweet and to the point! Thank you for making the effort to cut and edit the video. Unlike some content creators who just press and record and upload.
Wow. Its hard to keep up with you. I really enjoyed your top 10 casual solo games video and have about half of them. Its awesome to see these playthroughs now, its making me blow off the dust and brings these back to the table. Love the drive and enthusiasm, keep it up.
Ha, yeah I decided to try a "simple solo week." I've enjoyed it, especially after a string of super heavy games. This War of Mine and Kanban really were rough to film. I'll go back to a playthrough a week after this. 😃Thanks for watching and supporting the channel Hats Off!
@@hatsoffgames I always forget that. I should make a note -- "check the audio, check the focus, check the lighting, turn the meeples on their backs..." One day I'll get it right! 🤣
This video is solely responsible for getting me interested in board games at the age of 50. Having played it a fair few times now it seems very Cottage heavy in that it seems the easiest way to score points. Still a great game though, and excellent video too.
That is so awesome, Phil! I love hearing that! Board gaming is such a wonderful hobby, but it is a difficult one to get into and navigate. I believe that is why so many content creators produce videos to try to help people find and learn the games that will work for them. I'm happy to hear that I helped in some small way. I hope my channel can continue to help, or at least inform and entertain. Thanks so much for watching, Phil! 🙂
Hahaha. Thanks for the playthrough. I just played my first solo game using your method and scored 19. Then realized it's -1 for each left over resource lol. So my final score was 13. Fun little game solo. Hopefully my wife will play tomorrow so we can see how it plays 2 player.
I really enjoy this small game. Plays great at any player count, really. It is like a flip and write that you actually get to play with wooden bits! The best of both worlds. Thanks for watching!
If you like to see losing, this is a great channel! :) This one was special, though. Loses like this don't happen everyday. Thanks for checking out the video!
I had an awesome time playing Tiny Towns this way, I got a score of 29 in total! The trick was my taverns, I had two that each scored me 9 points because I had 3 cottages built.
Why not have a deck of cards where all the different cube placements are listed on each card for AI?💡 So on AI turn you draw a resources card as in solo mode then you draw one card from the AI placement deck (that may say: Place a cube in square 2 across, 3 down) and they place the cube for AI in that square. If space is occupied with a cube, place the card at the bottom on the deck then get a new card If space is occupied with building then discard the placement card entirely from that game. If this courses the AI to not build at lot of building then you can draw 2 resource card and pick the most useful resource card for AI to plac in current placement that turn or instead draw 2 placement card and pick the the one that will best help AI to build what it can fit the random resource. That may help make the AI seem less randomly built less building by slightly controlling the AI as Semy controlling 2nd playing Thanks, anyone who wants to try my idea I just reasonly thought of but not created PnP copy or physical proto type AI cub placement deck then be my guest but send by the results. Thanks 😇
It definitely has a mess up factor, but you'll be hard pressed to mess up more than I did! :) Definitely a fun game that I come back to again and again. Thanks for watching!
Oh, Shaggy you had the worst luck on that one, I couldn't stop laughing. That's something that would definitely happen to me. I can't wait to play this game solo. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed that 🤣
Ha, yeah that was an all time failure 🤣. To be fair, it was mostly my fault with some bad luck sprinkled in for flavor. Hope you enjoy the game once you table it. Let us know how it goes. Thanks so much for watching, Tracie!
Is this variant one you made or one you found? Also when you got yourself stuck had you put the wheat in the 2nd row down in the 4th column. You had 2 pieces of you farm on the bottom and then the brick came up. You would have been able to make that farm on the bottom and you would have been set up for another farm already with the wheat you placed.
Yep, that's about how it went in the playthrough as well. 😂 Sometimes I am very successful but most times it is a disaster. I appreciate you apollonia! Thanks!
Hi Taj. Yes, it is in the back of the rulebook, but I think it is meant for multiplayer games. Works great solo as well, in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
I’ll try that variant. I really don’t like the standard way of dealing the cards. I get all those bricks and wood at the end each time and I get in trouble 😅
I believe it is the worst game of Tiny Towns ever played, maybe the worst of any game ever played. I use this video to prove that my playthroughs are legitimate, because who in their right mind would post this to the internet otherwise. :) Seriously, though, one of my favorite things about this game is that it is possible to fail in spectacular fashion. I wish more games had this. Thanks for watching!
@@TotallyTabled as I mentioned in some other comment, it’s one of my favourite puzzle games. I was very sad, that in my country (Czech republic) it was not very succesfull, therefore we got no expansions translated and released.
I don't know how your play through convinced me to buy this game, but it did. Haha. Very entertaining as usual. Thank you.
Hey, don't blame me! 😁 It is a fun puzzly game, and I love puzzly games, even though I'm often horrific. Thanks Peter!

Thanks so much ZW L, I'm glad you enjoy my playthroughs. Thanks for watching them!
This video was fantastic! Fun to watch and your good humor with the low score was wholesome. Thanks!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you so much for checking it out.
As a solo player, it is so reassuring to see one of these play-throughs go poorly haha! Good to know I'm not the only one!
You have come to the right channel! Playthroughs going badly is my brand! Although this one was a special disaster! :) Thanks for watching!
I've played it with others but really inspired to play solo - going to table it this afternoon. Thanks for such great content!
Let us know how it went, Jo. Did you enjoy it?

It did look a bit samey, until things went pear shaped, so I'd definitely put it on my " to buy list" just for that " can mess you up" factor.

@@TotallyTabled I agree about the bad luck I couldn't believe how the wood pieces refused to come out, but you definitely showed how to adapt quickly.

I love this game.....up to a point !

Will try your version .

I try getting the monuments first. But other than that you did ok(not)😂.
I bought it right after watching this video. 😂🤣
I have no doubt you will do better than I did in this playthrough SH. 🤣 It is a fantastic game if you love puzzles. Thanks!
HI Shaggi - is this variant included in the game?
