What an underrated channel this is! What I love about your videos is that they start in an instant! No bs rambling about nonsense, non-related things. And also, props for having such low volume on the bg music! It's there, but it's not a nuisance for a viewer who watches this with a surround setup. However, the biggest applause is that you're doing these budget-friendly setup videos! I realise that you're a pro, so for you making these vids, is great to see! There's just 1 sad thing about this whole thing for me..... Too bad I didn't find your channel before! ;) Most definitely subbed!
Wow! Thank you for such positive feedback, it's much appreciated. Yeah, I try to get to the content as quickly as possible, cause I don't wanna waste your time listening to me ramble about whatever. Loud background music always drives me crazy, so i try to keep it low but just barely present. Hope it helps with your own camera rig build!
Great alternative build… can you provide a link to the small rig battery plate searched and what you’re showing it I can’t find. I can find some variations, but not that specific one.
The flip out screen alway has a concern it may accidentally knock on it and broke. Understand that it is flip out to reduce heat. If there is someway to protect the flip out screen will even be better
yeah, I'm always extra cautious when using the screen flipped out. I usually keep it folded in, but on certain rig builds I do flip it out and just take extra care. Unfortunately I don't know of any cages or protection for the screen.
Hey Chad quick question… when it comes to playback with the same build you have here, how do I get sound to play from my field monitor?… I ask because when I play back my recordings I’m not hearing, but I’m seeing the audio signals moving. And when I bring them in post audio is just fine 🤷🏾♂️
hmmm...it seems like the speaker on the monitor is muted or turned down. Have you checked the monitor settings to make sure the volume is up all of the way? it should play through the monitor by default unless you turn the audio off on the monitor. of course if you have headphones plugged into the camera, the audio will go there by default instead.
@@chadwinyes the volume is turned all the way up and all I have coming from the camera is the hdmi cable along with a shotgun Mike… but someone had mentioned that field monitors don’t normally come with speakers? Any truth to this?
How much do you think the rig build is gonna cost? 👇 💵
20 bucks ?

I love how you put the Nikon logo on a RED and the RED logo on a Nikon lol 😅
Hehe 🙃 I’m glad you caught onto that.
Love your vids made the m50 mount but used the viltox monitor
Way to go with the Nikon-Red cameras....hehehehe
😂 I couldn’t resist. So curious to see if anything changes or they remain separate product lines
Very useful, thank you!

I recommend getting a bigger viltrox Np battery for the monitor, because that one only holds a 30min charge.
how do you get into this stuff to begin with? This is a super interesting video but I have no clue what's going on lmao, feels pretty overwhelming!

@@rojaecrosby1554 it’s possible that there are no speakers on the monitor. Does it have an audio/speaker setting on the monitor?
