The Audi R8 has a special place in my heart. Timeless looks and one of the only V10 sportscars will make it go down in history as one of the greats. And, as always, your cinematography transforms it into something else entirely. Masterpiece of a video as always, Luke.
The very last clip impacted me way more than I expected. It feels surreal that I was 9 years old when I first saw what would become the R8 in 2006 - the Le Mans Quattro concept on NFS Carbon - and ever since then it's been my dream supercar. I've seen it go through every generation, spent countless hours reading and watching content about it and I still remember the first time I saw it in person. Now, 17 years later at 26 years old, I am seeing this model take its very last breath as we know it, and what a way to go out. Your videos are delightful and I wasn't expecting to feel so emotional about this one. Farewell, R8.
R8 has a special place in my heart. I remember seeing one about 10 years ago - Krka National Park, German plates, dark brown paintjob. I was mindblown how cool that car was and I wasn't too much into cars back then. Next gen came in what? 2016? And I fell in love even more. Years pass, many different great cars are born, I myself discover even more fantastic, older sports cars and I often forget how awesome the R8 is. It's good to see such beauty to remind myself what's sparked my love for cars. Beautiful spec, definitely would strongly consider if not go right ahead and get it if I had the money and was in a market for it or something similar.
I’ve been watching most of your videos of the last few days & your film work is quite simply the best I have ever soon. Congratulations on being such a professional ! Planning on coming to Zurich in the next couple of weeks from the UK so these driving passes are my main reason for the visit. Keep up the fabulous work Sir.
Incredible video, the way you film it is unreal. I love this channel and decided that for my 35th birthday, I'll be driving these roads and ticking it off my bucket list. I won't be like that Italian driver tho if you get what i mean 😂
Great light, great road, great car and memories spring to mind. I remember the Australian launch when I sat in a static V8 car, and I remember a passenger seat ride with a professional driver on a closed road circuit in a V10 model. Thanks for the memories , and another excellent production Luke.
God I love the Susten pass, its one of the best out there imo. Remember driving there back in 2016 in my Focus ST mk3.5 and an Rx8, good times! Keep up the good work Luke, you're doing great. Loving the 4k content
What a spectacular car and of course as always the cinematography. I'm a little bit bound to this car because I've sat in one of that amazing its number was 131, accually I didn't just sit in there but I was reving the R8😅. It was a very special feeling because I knew that it is one of the last Audi R8 with V10, I was quite sad and in the same time happy. So I'm so so glad you've filmed this video, which is going to make me the best memories of this Audi's V10s era❤ Thanks Luke🫡
how is it even possible all your videos to be cinematic masterpieces? That intro is fireee...keep up the insanely good work Luke!! greetings from Greece!!
333 units built, you dropped this video exactly when your channel has 333K subscriber. nice job Luke, big fan of your videography by the way, keep it up.
How am I just discovering this channel? (Came from the 3RS pit button vid) Super high quality footage/picturesque cinematography and great commentary 👏🏻
G'day Luke, I'm so so jealous AGAIN... What a beautiful video absolutely breathtaking, your a lucky man.. Anyhow mate thank you for your video.. HooRoo mate.
Always felt like the R8 was lacking a bit of Emotion compared to the Huracan. But the RWD models like this one are just phenomenal. Personally I would go for a standard RWD with performance parts and KW suspension. Starting to miss the R8 already. Phenomenal cinematography. ❤️
the first time i came to know about this car was from the 1st iron man movie... back in 2008...when i was 8yrs old. i used to call this the "iron man car" then a documentary type show on the "National Geographic Channel" called 'mega factories' and that's how i came to know it's real name audi R8 ... my hearts a little heavy to see this car bidding farewell to us..15 yrs passed on soo quickly! such a shame future generations would know about this car unless they actively searched for it!
hi luke, i love that little shot of the r8 at the end of your video, wondered if you have somewhere i can get that video, or a high-quality image of it. love the video as always.
Since I saw the chiron vlog, the routine watching one of your videos changed. Check if still subscribed, hit the like, start watching. Luke straight up the best cinematics of cars out there! Best I've seen and seeing on RUclips. Working with a car OEM myself, and even the media department knows the channel. Nice to see you driving one of Audis own cars (not a dealership). And it's just a drive, no adventure no great drive to whatever big event. It's simple, and still the best to watch, craftmanship. For you to feel a bit of pressure, I'll stop now, and critise the video. Red is not my color. … Thanks for doing it for free on RUclips. Best of luck and success!
I'm really a huge fan of you're videos, Luke! The amount of work you must be putting into you work... I guess every video an photo speaks for itself. The fact that you don't have millions of subscribers only shows, that quality nowadays isn`t appreciated enough to go "viral". Still, I think I can speak for all your viewers, the quality of the videos is one biiiig part of why we love your videos. So keep the awesome work up! Only one suggestion/idea: How about downtown nightride videos? (Maybe Swiss police is too strict for having some fun downtown, I would understand that hahaha)
Luke...I love you Content Bro its Bangin! LOL.... You are so Humble and Fresh at the Same Time....I truly Enjoy Your Content and I look up to You and Your Channels Content! Cheers and Best Wishes!!
nice. one my bucket list dream cars drive , ride in , maybe own some day V10 under glass have to have the world see it that engine , we are lucky to live this super car era ,
Luke never disappoints with his cinematogrraphy. P.S. I am going to visit Zurich next year and I hope that I can create a chance to meet you in person. Cheers
Luke, great video, as always. So to preface what I’m about to say, I do want to start by saying that I am a huge Audi R8 fan. As of today, I still own 3 of them: 2014 V 10 Spyder 6 speed manual , 2022 SPYDER Performance in a Audi Exclusive spec, and I also do own a 2023 Daytona Grayy R8 GT. For about 4 months earlier this year I also owned an identical car to the one that you reviewed. I sold the car only after only 4 months of ownership, even though I do think that Tango Red is the best color for these cars. In the United States, they were only available in three colors, Red being the best one of them. I sold the car so quickly, because I just did not feel that it was special enough. The body kit is awesome, but the way it drove and fell was not special enough for me. I do know that in the European market, you could option a coilover suspension, which could possibly have addressed some of my gripes, but in the US market, it was just the standard MR suspension. I felt of the nose dive under breaking was a bit excessive for this type of a car. What I really dislike is the fact that, the exhaust was too quiet and I did not hear any intake noise with the windows up or down. In my 2022 SPYDER, I hear the intake noise in a very pronounced manner, and the exhaust, which I do have factory sport exhaust on it, is exactly the same as AUDI put on the R8 GT but, obviously you can hear it a lot better because it’s a convertible versus a coupe. In the end of the day, I do believe that the R8 GT would have greatly benefited from rear wheel steering and a quicker steering rack. Both of those, would’ve made it feel a little more special, in my humble opinion. Ultimately, I was hoping that the R8 GT would be like Audi's version of the HURACAN Technica but it just isn't . I got lucky and was able to land an allocation for a 2024 Technica, which, I think, is going to be exactly what I’m looking for: a little edgier, a little louder and a little more "special". I am keeping that second car which just happens to be #225 of 333 in the collection. Still in the wrapper. With delivery miles only.
The cinematography is just unmatched Luke! I’m barely a minute in
Cheers 🫡
Luke doesn’t disappoint.

Luke great video. Always such beautiful cinematography mate. Next time I’m in Zurich visiting my family we should collab. Take care! 🇨🇭 - Damon
Hey Damon, yes sure just hit me up!

severely underrated cinematography. keep it up!
The cinematography is just unmatched Luke!
In that last shot the car looks like it's moving when it's standing still! Amazing.
