Great video Chops. Greece has always been a riding destination. People just dont know or choose to ignore. As a Greek i will agree we have possibly the worse tarmac on the hemisphere, but every twisty will quench your right hand itch. Keep it up!
Greece has 32% forests and the highest biodiversity in Europe and also the highest Endemic species of 25%, which is not found anywhere else, due to Greece's 80% mountains and around the mainland 6000 islands which both create huge isolation. And that gives Greece naturally tremendous diversity in both spectacular nature, in history and culture, in cuisine, and so on.
Hey! In case you're wondering about the area the mountain is called Taygetus, it's known for it's wild scenery and around Taygetus it's Mani peninsula, you were not far from it but you would surely need some more days to explore it. Mani peninsula is also known for it's wild scenery and it's terrain, it's a combination of Mountains and sea so I'm pretty sure you'd like it a lot
Some of those drops made my arse twitch and I'm sat on me sofa watching RUclips. Need a good head for heights. Agreed: great roads in Greece chops. Thanks for the video.
I keep telling people about the roads on the peloppanese, especially between mistras and kalamata, but no bugger listens, at least now they can see for themselves, cheers mate
This vid makes me want to skip winter and go riding in those conditions 😎 Thanks for the time leap , Chopsy 😁🤙 Must say this ‘winter’ the weather is good enough for riding your bike, already did 2 days of touring AND did a testride on the new Triumph Street Triple, what a machine! I want one sooooo bad 🤑🤑🤑 Amaaaazing bit of kit 👌
"24 degrees" "absolutely scorching" Hah! Brits. I guess it's all relative. Although we did have that weird thing today where water falls from the sky, so I guess I can empathise. Fantastic footage, looks like an awsome ride. "Wow".
Great roads, not been to that side of Greece on the bike 👍 Sorry, but at 5:27 that has to be the most lacklustre 'fly-past' I have ever seen. Did anyone actually get out of 1st? 😂
That was done for the camera of course to wave as they went past haha. The beauty of the Motorrad tours is you dont have to stick with the group. We had two couples who just used the satnav and did the tour themselves and we all met up and the hotel in the evening. That way if the pace is too slow you can blast off meet at the waypoint or the hotel in the evening. But the pace of the group was ok though saying that
Struggling getting back into work mode after christmas break and this video reminded me why I need to work harder. Looking forward to getting into Europe on the bike this summer. I did look at the price for this trip but it's out of my price range 😔
Looks fantastic. Can you imagine living there, having a bike & that being your everyday weather, scenery & roads?!? Biking paradise! Why would you ever go anywhere else? Except the UK of course as we have all of this too obviously.....oh wait..... : |
Scenery and roads that rival Spain! Were they really riding that slowly on the ride through the overhang?! I hope the touring was a bit faster pace than that! Not done a tour as a group and that's my overriding fear that it'll just be an OAP saunter, and I'm an OAP! 😁. Love the fact you're not short changed on a full days riding.👍

Nice vid, I looked up the itinerary and prices for a few of there tours from the link... bloody expensive Chops. I noticed mostly crusties on tour also, I expect most have final salary pension schemes to fall back on. Anyway 👍🏻😉
Yes it's not a cheap tour Digger but its excellent. People were also brilliant a real good sense of camaraderie between everyone. Yes everyone was of a certain age myself included 😂
24C sounds like paradise. It was 46C in my back yard in Sydney yesterday and today the smoke is so thick the authorities have rated it “hazardous” and warned everyone to stay indoors. My garden was wilting, the birds were literally gasping and my bike was on the trickle charger. Not that I’m whinging... wait a minute, yes I am.
Sir Chops, I've been scouring your channel and Instagram but I can't find it! What vest/stick are you using to attach the Insta360 with please? Love love love your videos, I certainly subbed to follow more of your vids. :)
Thanks Bark, I use the insta 360 camera with thier selfie stick which slots perfectly into my Ogio flight vest. There is a link to the vest in the description of most of my vids 👍
X9 you can fit a pin lock, cant on X8. Also the entire lining is much better quality. Also X9 has recesses for speakers for an intercom. X8 was really just an offroad helmet
Ok some major differences there, pinlock being a big one! I have used my existing 'everyday' lid far longer than I should because the pinlock visor works so well.
It's a small church model.. you see them everywhere on the roads. I wondered too then was told it's where somebody died on the road.. makes you slow down a bit!
Thought this channel was about motorbikes?? Loads of talk about scenery, NOTHING about what the motorbike itself, how it handled, felt, performed like - NOTHING! Absolutely nothing. Only bothered to watch it to the end, to see if it was going to get back on topic. And it didn’t.

Thanks Tommy! I thought the roads were very good. Well either very good or terrible, nothing inbetween! Haha
Greek coffee can be absolutely superb... But at the same time they all seem to love Nescafé instant...

You'd have to be the best personality for ride partner/member. Always positive and happy. Not common LC.
Thanks Robert 👍
On the bucket list of rides for sure.....thanks for sharing that on a bleak cold UK mid January day👍😎

Have you done a kit review of your AGV lid? Seriously thinking of getting one as AGV fit my head :) Would be interested in your thoughts?
No I haven't but very impressed with it, million times better than the old X8 which I also have. Would certainly recommend one 👍

john, how did the smaller bm perform for touring, thinking of buying one, cheers pal.
Hmm my bike was an old one with 21" front wheel. Hated it haha, not tried the new one suspect it's far superior
