This one has been released today by request of We're The Roberts. Their channel is super cool. A lot of amazing drone footage and fishing! Go check them out. ruclips.net/user/doodles2997videos I have two videos I want to show next... 1.) Successful trout fishing
Thanks. I actually put it to work on Saturday. Successfully located bait balls and landed my first bass of 2021. It has all the features I need to be under 150.
It's super easy to get going. For about 160 you can have everything in the video. The battery, the fish finder, the mounts, and the bolts. Let me know if you need any info like links.
So I bought the same transducer mount for my yak, but cannot find an attachment to attach my fish finder. Where did you get yours I would prefer to have it all on one attachment/arm than multiple attachments
I used the following... The transducer and mount arm with gear head: $27.01 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0174X6T5A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Fishfinder mount: $17.62 www.amazon.com/Scotty-368-Universal-Sounder-Mount/dp/B00FPQZ95K/ref=pd_bxgy_img_1/141-8230138-6052442?pd_rd_w=fJGZT&pf_rd_p=c64372fa-c41c-422e-990d-9e034f73989b&pf_rd_r=RSW888RNQ24DQMWCFBTY&pd_rd_r=d1fe1936-616f-4b6f-8237-5304eb9cc7b6&pd_rd_wg=Jfwm8&pd_rd_i=B00FPQZ95K&psc=1
Thanks for the quick reply! That is what I ended up ordering! Can’t wait for it to get in. I read the reviews on the fish finder mojnt, does it not come with screws?
Travis, great tutorial instructions for installing a fish finder on a kayak. How sturdy is it with typical kayak activity with catch fish or paddling on the water? Just subbed your channel, Bro! Looks like your cats want to join in with you to catch fish. Have a great day and blessings!
Hey Rob, thanks for subscribing and watching. You have a good channel going on. It's secure. There was some wobble on it the first time out but I just tightened it down by hand at the base and it's snug. I have caught fish with attached, paddles, and used the pedal system. So far it's all good. Yeah these cats are the assistants to the regional manager 🤣
Thanks! When I can afford it... I would like to get a fish finder but wasn’t sure if it would be practical in a kayak while fishing. You have some awesome assistants! 👍
Thanks. Have a preference on what video I release this Saturday? I have two I am excited about. 1.) Successful trout fishing. 2.) My first bass of 2021.
I know what you are talking about. I took mine into Lowes and played in the rubber wash section until I found the best fit with the fewest pieces. They don't mind if you take the transducer in there to make sure you get it right.
@@TravisDoesKayakFishing just went back fishing yesterday Brother I was heavily sick with bronchitis sinus infection and bad cold be in antibiotic not fun just catching up now Thanks for asking Travis :)
@@GaryTheFishfinder Sorry to hear about you being under the weather but I am glad you are feeling better. I will be on the lookout for the next video.👍🎣
Thanks. It's holding up well. I managed to actually use it to catch a nice bass this weekend. I found a bait ball and started casting around it, that worked for a nice striper. I haven't decided if I plan to show the trout fishing (I caught some finally) or the bass fishing this Saturday. Have a preference?
@@TravisDoesKayakFishingThat's awesome you got to break it in already! I was skeptical about the cheap unit I have on my kayak. Next to my friend's huge Garmin unit it marks the same fish! It may not have side imaging or gps but it gets the job done. I'm glad you finally got some trout! Share both, I'm sure everyone would enjoy them.
Yea, now this is what I was waiting for, Travis! Voice overs are my nemesis and honestly I would have never known you were doing a voice over on here if you hadn't said anything. Very good job on this video. You're right, I think this would work perfect for the NuCanoe. By the way, you're hilarious... God bless, brother.. Kevin
Agreed with the voice-over. That stuff takes forever for me. Really appreciate you stopping by and your channel is great man. Looking forward to you getting back on the water soon. The drone footage is really great too. I have two videos I want to show next... 1.) Successful trout fishing
@@TravisDoesKayakFishing let’s see them trout! Thanks back at you for checking our stuff out buddy. Kristi is working on another fishing video for this coming week. Sheepshead Sunday. Lol. I wanna check out some of them back creeks you hiked back to for some trout though. That would be a blast

Man I really enjoyed watching this. That was awesome how you put the fish finder on the kayak. I want to put a fish finder on my kayak without drilling any holes into the kayak. I like that setup man that is cool. That's the type of transducer that I would like to have on my kayak. You did a really good job Travis installing this. I like the shirt that you was wearing too the colors red and white are awesome colors too. I love how you finish the work being done with an adult beverage. That's what I'm talking about man. Good video man thank you for sharing.
Thanks man. I know you don't want to drill into your kayak but if you do, use a Scotty Rail. You can put so much on one. Trays, lures, camera mounts, you name it. Have a preference on what you see Saturday? I have a trout fishing video and my first bass of the year ready to go.
@@TravisDoesKayakFishing yeah I saw your comment about you catching your trout! Again congratulations to you man proud of you and congratulations on your first bass for the year too. I would not mind watching both of your videos. It will be exciting to watch both of them. The only catching that i can do is raising both of my feet in the cast up and down in this wheelchair. " LOL" Yes I have been looking into some of this gear. I am trying to find the battery in the store but I'm having a hard time finding it. People that I had talked to said they had got some of them out of the store.

An adult beverage is always appropriate when making these kinds of videos. Nice install!
Agreed but the editing process is where the alcohol flows IMO 🤣

Nice tutorial, Thanks for sharing ur new gags Love to see that in action

Love the Striker 4, we added on last year to our yak using almost the same setup.
So far I like it. It's help me locate bait balls which lead to a decent striper. Looking forward to using it in the spring and summer.
I really need the fish finder. Thanks for sharing i need that to my kayak also..

hey buddy nice video, your details are very useful...
Thanks. This is the easiest way I have found to install the fish finder.
